 have i mentioned i luv halloween?:rotfl:

mac - take 2 pills and have the time of your life; take notes...i wanna hear all about HHN!

mic - lol i'm still be-auching about my hair color; this new girl just can't seem to get it right...i posted that pic when someone mentioned what dvc resort i liked the best. Whether it's gauche or not, i'm taking it to stylist this week & telling her i want my hair just like it:mad: ; she's had 3 chances & keeps telling me it's better to go darker than lighter. Just too bad the girl i went to for years has developed personal problems/habits & is so unreliable about showing up for appointments.:confused3

pam - owwie for you:sad2: ; do you do meds/shots - know my SIL had them for years; finally agreed to the shots & hasn't had a down day since...good luck.

is ocm still cutting grass?;) hope all is well

Siggie hog.....Yep that's me !!! Morning folks !!!

Morning all!

Is it Friday yet?:confused3 I still don't know why we have to work 5 days and only have 2 off...doesn't seem fair.

Trent plays football again today so i will be running around like a mad woman again to try to get things done and make it to his game with a few extra kids in tow. He plays a really good Omaha team today so we will so how it turns out.

Have a good day everyone! Off to take the kids to school.

Ed - still stretching out that birthday;) , enjoy bud...how many more days to X off the calender. Didn't your son have a broken something/or get sick before/during the last trip? :wizard: clear sailing ahead this time!

Go Trent's team (we need a name to cheer!):cheer2:

mic - yep, i'm always trying to get a bargin:laughing: ; although i'm old enough to remember when it didn't cost $100 or so to get done. Big joke in the family is i always come home to gales of laughter from my boys while i hurry to redo the style. Honestly, wouldn't mind spending bigger bucks - if only the job would only be done right. Done obsessing about it; at least for an hour or so.

i'm washing clothes that got splattered last night with oven cleaner. Read one of those helpful hints wherein to get the burners/trays clean from stove top you take them to the back yard & spray with oven cleaner. Then place on newspaper & put in garbage bag to bake the crud off in the sun.:rolleyes1 had to get the power washer out in the alley behind my house to remove the solution; kept catching the neighbors peeking out their curtains trying to figure out exactly what i was doing.:upsidedow Same pia came out when i was hauling my stove parts back into the house, could hear ask DH (who was starting to drag the equipment back to shed) if we made the puddle.

KS, aren't neighbors fun :rolleyes1 Our street has gone from people to had lived in their houses for their whole adult lives to nothing but what appears to be people who grew up in a cave...sloppy, noisey, inconsiderate and just plain not good neighbors. Most of the people that were on our street when we moved in 33 years ago have passed away.

I use the oven cleaner on stove parts also, but I don't put them in a garbage bag, I just lay stuff on newspaper and spray it good and let it set. Mostly the burner thingys. I also sometimes spray the bottoms of my good stainless steel cooking pans with that stuff and anything that may have cooked on it comes off and they look like new. I buy the old fashioned heavy duty oven spray too and that stuff will choke ya in 2 seconds, but it works.

Ok, today is shaping up to be another ratso day here......people that are miserable outside the office have to come in here and make the rest of us miserable....

GO TRENT....YAY

and Pam, I agree, 5 days of work is too much.....let's start a new trend and reverse it, 2 days work, 5 days to play

PIONEERS!!!!

Mic--i will go for that...especially today...i don't know what side these kids rolled out of bed on today but apparently it was the wrong side:confused3

ks--hope you get everything cleaned up. I have to say i have pretty good neighbors:thumbsup2 well, except the old lady who walks her cat on a leash and tells me the same stories over and over again.:confused3

Did I tell you all that the cornfield behind my house might get turned into a new K-2 school? The playground will be directly behind me so atleast it could be worse. The bond has to pass for that to happen and i it goes up for vote on the 9th of Oct. As much as i don't want a school behind me I will probably vote for it as we really do need a new school...they are busting at the seams right now(that is the one aubrey goes to right now)

Pam, now that is called having your hands full :thumbsup2 and yes, I'll take one of them right now......actually, a little something 'strong' in my cup of tea this morning would have been nice.

I know how you feel about progress Pam, but it is almost something you can't stop, and at least it is a school that is useful and not a housing development. Our town hovers around the 5000 mark for population. On the way out of town, people that owned a farm sold off the land..and after a bitter vote between the townsfolk, it was decided to annex the land into our town...well, they just started to break ground for a housing development, which is supposed to double our population over the next 10 years. This is going to ruin our small town feel, and for some reason, they think these people are gonna bring $$ to our town, nope, they will be city dwellers, coming to the country for cheaper housing and still hump up and down the road for work, shopping and play. I personally hate to see our little town grown so vastly and what all this growth will bring with it. I also don't know where all these kids that come along with the housing are gonna go to school or how our dilapidated streets will deal with this growth. Whatever, I can't change it. One thing though, there will be a street in the new development named after our family (our last name). I guess 20 or so years ago, our LL Baseball team made it to the LL World Series, so they named a bunch of streets after all the kids that played on the team, and my nephew played on it, so there........our family is now famous (or infamous as the case may be) and we will not only live on as people, but as pavement also ;)

mic--that is kinda cool!:thumbsup2 Oh and by the way, there is a street named after you in Lincoln;) I actually use to work on that street when i nannied.

I am really glad that there will be NO houses behind me!! I may still end up moving though...we will see what it's like when it is done though.

I have been on the stinkin' phone all morning trying to figure out this stinkin' disney trip!!

We have 3 families going and it seems like they all want something different so i finally called disney to see what they can offer us...have to say, it was better than i thought it was going to be:thumbsup2 that one may just be a winner.

Go Trent

What kind of deal did Disney come up with?

So, is this street in Lincoln my first name? KEWL

I have felt awful today, so I'm going to go back and lay down..not sure what is going on...but I don't like it...and it's hot here today too......ick

yep, your first name...even spelled right:thumbsup2

Trent's team won their game! Trent played AWSOME!! He had a sac, recovered a fumble, and 3 major tackles...that's my son:thumbsup2

I asked Disney to price me hotel, dining, and tickets...i don't know what the other families are going to say but i think dave would rather do that then everything else they are planning...to each their own...just becuase we are going on vacation together doesn't mean we have to spend every waking moment together?!?!

Didn't your son have a broken something/or get sick before/during the last trip? :wizard: clear sailing ahead this time!

Its 18 more days. Yes my youngest son cut his thumb before we left and then got sick on the first day we arrived. Good memory :thumbsup2 I think I'm going to put him in a bubble a week before we go.

good idea!!! I always feel that way too right when we go on vacation.

Hey, i think your beer girl is way cuter than my beer girl....or maybe we put our beer goggles on? Maybe your beer girl looked like my beer girl before we had all those glasses of beer?!?!?:confused3 Something to ponder on as we lay our heads down tonight!!

Night all!

I always layer the inside of our suitcase with bubblewrap;) ; it is good to shield & protect. Remember feeling so bad for your son, my youngest managed to get a splinter on the deck the evening before we were going on just an overnight (non-cancellable) trip to Six Flags. I couldn't get the darn thing out, had him soak it; then we watched wizard of oz (in my mind a cursed movied lol). When it was over, i took a peek @ his foot. Had an angry red/blue line running half-way up his leg.:scared1: Quick trip to ER, he had early stages of blood poisioning. Less than an hour they removed the offending splinter, put him on meds & said he could go; just wasn't able to walk. He was the biggest kid in the wagon/stroller. Initially, was mortified; by the end of the day was just chillin'.

pam - pioneers are carving out a niche (hey, it's the best i could come up with:cutie: ). No cornfield...where will the children (of the corn) play? still think of that creepy movie whenever i think cornfield. Did you price out a grand gathering? Have you though of renting DVC points (never did, afraid i wouldn't have a room when we arrived:rolleyes1 ).

mic - hope once the owner's grand anniversary is over, all will simmer back down @ work...must be trying for you.

off to get my hairs done, hopefully, right this time...i'm taking a pic that DH printed off; when i made my appointment the owner got sorta snippy. Confirmation is tonight & i'm sorta stuck. BTW, butt-head/middle DS is remoreseful & stepping up to the plate. Arranged a private dinner before church @ local joint (brother of his friend is head chef & in process of purchasing it)...course, we're buying.:rotfl:

almost forgot:

Heard from Mac last night! She's safe & sound @ the World:banana: ; sez to tell y'all hi!

Morning all!

ks--i did price the grand gathering...still not sure what we are going to do as i haven't talked to the other 2 families. You know, it is so hard to plan when only one person in both families has been there but it has been YEARS since they have been. :confused3 thinking i am not going to have any hair left for my hairdresser to mess up before to long:rolleyes: Speaking of, i go get my hair done tomorrow and crossing my fingers as i am going to a new lady.
I also have to go to the dentist tomorrow:eek: have i told you how much i HATE the dentist?!?!?!?!??!

I am glad mac is there....is she feeling better? Hope she has a great time!!

have to run...parents are arriving

Good morning friends!

Whew, lots to catch up on...Ed, you always go for the pretty beer girls:goodvibes 18 days is coming up fast...are you guys flying down or driving?

Pam, that is funny about the street name...guess you better take a picture for me of it...I'm famous:thumbsup2

KS & Pam, good luck on the hair....and tell Ms. Snippitty Snip-It that you are paying her to make you look good, and to can the attitude...let us know how it turns out. Glad you son came to his senses ;) and is trying to do the right thing with the confirmation. LOL...he sets it up and you buy....smart boy you raised there ;)

We go back to the dentist in Nov....never see 6 months go by so fast as it does between check ups :confused3

Glad mac is there and enjoying herself.......she does this every year, so she should be a pro at it!! If she calls again, tell her I said HI and to have a blast.

Evening all........I was thinking earlier today, we sure our missing some regulars around here....hope all is well and they stop in soon...and you know who I mean :thumbsup2

Watching DWTS's...so see ya..........KS, hope this evening went well and how did the hair turn out??
