test Part 10

Sorry, no soap operas for me. :sad2: I can't even stop myself from  when Nicole watches her DVR'ed episodes of Dawson's Creek every night. ;)

Cooking, on the other hand, is my forte. :thumbsup2 I've always done most of the cooking, even working full time. ::yes::

Did they agree to your request at work Steve?

It's down to the woman that I officially report to. If she comes back and says that the only way she'll accept a part-time deal is if I work solely for her, I'll probably just resign. The reason I now work for my current boss is because I wasn't getting anything decent to work on in my old role, so the last thing I want is to go back into that old role. I'll see what she has to say, though, and hopefully, I'll talk to her sometime this morning.

morning all!

All the kids are in school. Aubrey was ready to go and she seemed a little nervous but we found some of her friends and all was fine. I did better than I thought I would do...i was more torn up when Noah went to school than today.:confused3 I guess I know aubrey can handle it and she was soooo ready to go...and her being almost 6 has helped too.

bob--i didn't take you as a hunter that is why i asked. dave use to hunt deer but that was before i knew him. my one brother likes to go hunting and my uncles are die hard hunters...they hunt for everything you could imagine.:confused3 good luck today.

mic--he has to watch one life to live...it is getting good:thumbsup2

ks--i can't remember the last time i went and caught some fake sun...i miss doing that but it seems that i can never find the time. I hope your pinkness goes away soon.

well, i am off to the basement...i'll check in later if something doesn't grab me.

Pam - good luck in the basement. How was the kids first days back?

Bob - I hope they make a decision for you soon. I really like being a SAH Parent. It does make the day to day life so much easier. Don't feel bad..I have never hunted either.

Ed - are your kids in school yet or do they go back after Labor day?

Keisha - Im sorry you turned pink. Will that turn brown eventually or will you just peel?

Mic - I hope you do get a storm so that the temp cool down for you some.

Mac - you know all my kids like going to bed..although, none of them are 10 yet, so maybe that will change.

The big news in my house is that Nico finally took a shower. Not to be misunderstood that my children never bathed, but he was deathly afraid of the shower for years. Last night, he and Julie (at different times) opted not to take a bath and instead take a real shower. Julie was in there for a good 30 minutes, but I am soo excited. This will make their after soccer baths much easier and much much shorter. :thumbsup2

CAN'T IT BE FRIDAY?????

Oh KS, I know what you mean about being pink...sometimes I go in and feel like I hardly get a thing, another time I come out and feel pink....and usually if I have on a different pair of undies, that are cut a little different, I'll get pink where the sun hasn't shone before:rotfl:

i thought people wore some clothes when they do the tanning booths.
are you in there nekkid????

what would you do if you feel asleep in the tan booth and a worker would have to go wake you up? what if it is a male employee that looks like brad pitt?

that's great news.
i could not get any of mine to take showers until they were in junior high.
at first, it used to be a quick shower when the boys started doing that.
now, todd is in that shower for a loooonnnngggg time..

i'll time him today and see if he beats julie's record.

I cant answer for everyone, but the 4-5 times I have been in a tanning booth I was naked. If there was a hot guy..it's a bed..let's make it useful:smooth:

...ignoring Ed's comment....;) :rotfl:  I'm not a nude tanner, I leave the all necessary undies on...LOL...you can fall asleep Mac, but they are on a timer, so they shut off automatically, you can't overbake your fake ;) No hot guys at my place, young gals running everything :sad2: although I don't need another man, I have one to take care of now, that is enough ;)

Nico got in the shower, that is great news! He is facing lots of fears, didn't you say he rode a ride at WDW that he never had done before and loved it?? good for him...he is a big boy now!!

Bob, you can share recipes with us if you like to cook!! That's what you say now about soap opera's...just wait...you'll be like Michael Keaton in Mr. Mom.....:lmao: Still thinking good thoughts that all goes well

Pam, I can't hardly believe Aubrey is off to school today!! where has time gone??? All the little ones here are growing up so quickly.

Me?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Not a chance. :rotfl2:

But my dad, my uncles, nearly everyone of my friends and 1/2 of the state did, so much so that the Monday after Thanksgiving (the start of buck season) was a school holiday. :upsidedow

even though DH has seniority in his dept @ work, he'd never hear the end of it if he took the week after Thanksgiving; guys head to off to camp/wives Black Friday...

of course, said week is one of the slowest/cheapest weeks in MCO:rolleyes1 so we always vaca the 1st week of the month. Doo-doo may hit the fan next year since Thanksgiving falls unusually late in the year are we men or mice? Hope you don't have to wait 'till after the weekend for a decision.

Aubrey is a big girl now:wizard: , congrats to Nico too - 'da man.:cheer2:

Took my Pepcid AC last night:thumbsup2 always takes most of the red away. Still have pink face/chest - hope i don't peel.

as for nudie tanning, i hesitate to plop myself down on tanning beds. I always clean them 1st (yes, i carry my own disinfectant); would never subject the areas that don't see the sun shine to that hot-bed lol of germs. DSs girlfriend worked at the fancy-pants place I tan during college break this summer...lots of gross stories, Won't subject you to the gory details:scared: of course, they were banned for life, just soooo disgusting.

Saying hi too the Newbie :tink: and answering her question:

My boys go back the wed before Labor Day and then have Friday thru Monday off, I guess easing them back into school?

And Chris just started taking showers this summer too.

My kids all had good days:cool1: Aubrey said that she had a fun day and that she is ready to go back tomorrow.

I agree with ks...i always always always disinfect whe i go. The last time I went i started going to a salon where i knew the owner....much better. I will go back there again when i get the time. When i do tan though you will se NO tan lines;)

Aubrey started taking showers i think last summer. It is easier but sometimes she still doesn't get all the conditioner out of her hair.

I did take pics of the first day of school...i will have to post them later.

I'm off to watch BB8.........will drop in later...

Glad the first day went so well Pam, makes you feel better about sending them all off to class. Usually its around the 3rd week they start complaining and whining...LOL :cutie:

Mac, when you going back to teach? WOW, won't be long you will be off to the MotherLand again...

i have to attend the mandatory teacher meeting on blood pathology ........
required by the school district/state every year.
it's always the same video.
good thing we are not tested on it, i always day dream when it is on.....
