I don't remember if I mentioned, but ds gave dh and I a gift card to take a dinner cruise in DC for Christmas last year. I just got around to picking a date. We are going on Sept. 15th. I got a wild scheme and now I'm kinda excited about it. I kept thinking how yucky it would be to have to drive home from DC after a 3 hr. evening cruise, especially if we want to have a couple drinks, and it doesn't end til 10 p.m.......so I decided to find a motel near by. We will go down earlier in the afternoon, check in and go to the Pier from the hotel, spend the night, and then on Sunday, either try and meet up with BIL who lives in Alexandria or just go do something for the day. Maybe drive down to Mt. Vernon, we haven't been there in years.........figured it would be a little getaway and something different. If you want a peek at the cruise, here is a link:

DH's company used to take 25 and 30 year employees on this, so we went on one I guess about 10 years ago. Seems it's a buffet now, when we went, it was a 7 course meal....we had a lot of fun as it was with co-workers who were also good friends. We all met at the plant and they bused us down to DC.

Ok, I'm getting sleepy...off to Neverland....BUT ! TOMORROW IS FRIDAY

okay, i didn't get my pictures downloaded today and i have a good reason. This morning when we were getting ready to leave i turned on my camera and guess what....NO BATTERIES!!!! I looked and we are completely out of batteries for that dang camera sooo i robbed the tv remote control. We got home today and dave tried to turn on the tv and it wouldn't turn on so i told him what i did and told him to go and take the batteries out of the kitchen remote....different batteries so he took his batteries back and put them back and NOW my camera has none seems he thinks that the contorl is more important i have yet to get them on the computer but i will tomorrow when he is gone helping my dad.

that is my story and I'M sticking to it

Oh, honestly, I wish all of you COULD go on the dinner cruise with us, it would be SO much fun!!! We had a great time when we went on the company cruise...you can stand out on the deck and see a lot of the sites from DC....very cool indeed.

Gotta run.......but first....DAVE....DUDE....your remote is NOT more important than Pam's camera!!! GET THAT STRAIGHT RIGHT NOW......

Late yesterday afternoon, I cleared one more hurdle -- I got my reporting manager to agree that working for her part time wasn't going to work. So I think I might be free now to do the part time gig with my current boss, who has a ton of projects for me to work on.

This is sounding like a broken record, but I think I should know by the end of today what my plans are.

Most likely, I will be still climbing the walls and not have a final answer today, as I've just been told the final decision potentially will need to be made by a different person altogether, who unfortunately is in Singapore this week.

Love the school pics, Pam. As expected, they get gradually more excited looking the younger the kids get.

Cam had his orientation this morning. Nicole said she was talking to some of the other moms, ones who live in our neighborhood, and she volunteered me to help out at school occasionally on Mondays and Fridays, when I will be off. They said I could bring Ryan, who'll be excited to see his big brother at school plus will love being around the "big kids".

DIL dropped a bit of a bomb today, evidently they're ready to put an offer in on a house not without mama realtor giving the a-ok they're not.
