test Part 10

The Bears lost, but they must have covered the spread because Nico and I tied for the win this week.:cool1: In the begining of the pool, TVT said that he didn't want to win the pool, he just wanted to beat Nico and I. Well, TVT, how does it feel to lose to a 7yo boy and his mom?:lmao:

Keisha - thanks for the compliment. Lee is in the picture this year. He got kicked out of where he was living back in Sept. At first, I tried to tell him to move back to DC, but he didnt have a job there. So, he moved into the computer room here and that is where he has been. When he first moved back, life was AWFUL! The weekend he moved back..I had to take the kids and leave the house because he was on such a rage.

But, I give him a lot of credit now. He has actaully been doing the dishes and cleaning the house. TVT actaully came up with the idea of a Chore Chart and Lee has really stuck with it and done his chores pretty much almost everyday and the kids have too. Although, the chart was more for Lee than the kids. He has even been nicer to talk to..and deal with even when he lost his job, he was helpful. So, as bad as this sounds..I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, but I am hoping for the best.

I thought I told you all this, but when I was talking to Pam the other day, she said I hadn't updated any of you..so that is the latest.

I need to run and finish my chores for the day so I can go meet Nico for lunch at 10:40. Last year it was 10:20. I can't wait for the dya when lunch is actually after 11.

Hope you all have a great day.

ocm - thanks for the update, glad things are relative calm in your life:goodvibes ; 'ya never know - miracles do happen:wizard:

luv, luv the job chart - tony should come organize my house! I favor the individual lists, where they can check off their accomplishments. Although, stickers might help the cause lol.

Morning all!

Ocm--Nico eats really early. Although, he might start school alot earlier too. My kids start school 8:05, 8:10, & 8:15 and they eat lunch between 11:30 and 12:30. Then they get out between 3:10 and 3:20. Noah and Aubrey get a morning milk and most of the time a morning snack if the parents want to supply it. I usually send some pretzels or something with them so their class can have a snack with their milk.

KS--I know I don't know everything about my computer either. I can't figure out how to get it to print some info. i typed on it...i'll have to sit down and figure it out before we leave on our trip.

tony--i bet you will have such a great time catching up when you go back home.

mac--don't cry...it's just football:rolleyes:

mic--i miss you here durning the day.

ed--where are you? do we need to come find you?

bob--are you starting to feel better?

gant--where did you go for your lunch yesterday? hope your meetings went good.

I just heard this morning that one of my bestfriends dad past away this morning. He had pancreatic cancer. They lost their mom when we were in 6th grade. Atleast they are a close family so they can lean on each other.

Morning all. Hope everyone is in good health today.

Lunch went fine yesterday. It was held in a Marriott so the food was good. It was mostly appetizers. Shrimp Scampy, bruschetta, egg rolls, pastry puffs and the like.

Got OCM's card yesterday. My wife said "who's the guy? He wasn't in last years picture." We had that card posted on our hutch all year so we just replaced it with the new card.

Have a great day all.

Gant - I'm glad your lunch went well yesterday. I think you should keep last years card..it was much better than this year.

Keisha - I love my "Family Helper Chart" too. I worked really hard on it, color coding and assigning jobs. and placing it right in the kitchen for everyone to check. My kids not only really stick to it, but they make a big deal if I forget to change the day. No stickers or anything for them..it's just expected that they do it. Someone who was here a few weeks ago asked me if the kids get rewarded for doing their chores. I had never even thought about giving them anything, but I do always thank them for all their help and tell them what a great job they did when they are finished.

Pam - I have to send a snack and water in with Nico as well. I think they have snack around 1:30-2pm. But his lunch is really early. He comes home hungry every day. Im sorry to hear about your friend's dad.

Basketball seems to be Cam's sport!

He really is loving basketball (we signed him up for the next session which goes Jan-Feb), but Tae Kwon Do is still his love right now -- he'll be getting his black belt in April. :cool1:

I'm feeling much better today -- I think I'm finally over this.

Lunch break is over -- time to go back to cooking for our Christmas party (on Sat). :)

ha! it sat with the rest of great photo cards (why don't I ever think of doing it until it's too late:rolleyes1 ) until recently too.

DS saw the new batch secured in my card holder/rudolph's rack; asked if we got one from "the hot blonde":)

ocm -

Yeah next year I think I should be IN the picture too !!!! We can get Lee to take the picture!! :lmao: :lmao:

I got your card too OCM, you and the kids look great.

I think I have most of my Christmas shopping done, I still need to go get my wife a new digital camera ( looking at canon elph).

We are looking at doing a bunch of renovations this spring so I've bee trying to chase down contractors. We want to put a retaining wall in the back yard to level it off and put a patio outside of our walkout basement replace the sliding glass doors with French Doors. Replace the front picture window with a Bay Window and install a new garage door. (I know there is other stuff but I can't remember right now)

How about them Patriots and the Celtics and shhh don't tell anyone the Bruins are actually playing well.

The Skankees are all big steriod users but we all knew that.

Ed - Find a really hot male contractor. They are always the best at what they do. I'm sure Lin will love the digital camera. Glad to hear you are almost done..isn't it usually early for you to be done?;)

TVT - you can be in the Christmas Card next year. You fit right in as Grandpapa Tony.

Bob - Im going to be you tomorrow. I have to bake all those cookies tomorrow early so they can cool. I only have to decorate 32 for Julie's class. Nico's class can decorate their own.:thumbsup2

Keisha - I try to get my done right around St nicholas day. It seems that if I wait much longer than that, people don't get mine well into the new year. (I think that happen the first year the test thread exchanged cards.)

Missing posts? It was wicked slow so maybe it didn't post completely. Other than that..I can't think of why it wouldn't be there. Mysteries of the test thread:scratchin

we are a mysterious bunch anyway :lmao: so missing posts shouldn't surprise me....but I remember saying a lot of stuff, that I can't remember now :upsidedow ...I hate losing a perfectly good thought that I've typed :p

The owner came up to me late this afternoon and said "I want you to make copies of this page and make sure everyone gets one"...so I read it and then do that for him.........he is donating $10,000.00 to charity, and each of us employees can pick our own charity and he will put $500 to that charity that we choose. I think that is so awesome and giving...and I'm thrilled to pick a charity. I was gonna divide it up between 2, but I think I will keep it local and put it all towards one.

i think you should ask the money to be donated to you mic and call it the charity for the mouse people......

jk

that would be nice to keep yours local.
i always like to help out with our volunteer ESDA group and the fire department.
our FF gives out stuffed bears to kids when they have a crisis and lose everything.
