Good morning friends.........off to work I go, then home tonight to bake pies :upsidedow

Everyone have a good day...Tony, are you off to Atlanta? Be safe if you are on the road, and remember, no parking in places you don't belong :rotfl2:

Thanks mac, her surgery is scheduled late morning, and the surgeon said he would call me...so time will tell. Thanks again for kind thoughts

Pam, what the heck, do buy and turkey and try to cook it :lmao: Oh, for those that cook turkey's, anyone ever brined one? I've seen on the food network you HAVE to do this, so I might give it a try.

Monring Everyone,

Mic - your mom is in my prayers

Keisha - your guest list sounds CRAZY!! I hope you solicite help. I hope the new computer works out well for you. I plan on getting a laptop in the next few months, but I may wait until the end of Christmas sales to get it.

Mac - what time are your reservations tomorrow?

Ed - that is awesome about the car. Good luck with getting it

Pam - I hope the babies are feeling better. It isnt fun to have sick kids in the holidays.

Mic to answer your question, no TVT isn't coming this year. He turns 50 on Friday and I think he just wanted to do his own thing. He is going golfing with about 8 guys in a tournament. So that should be a blast for him and a good way to spend his bday.

It is suppose to be wicked cold here on Friday and I plan to be at the Disney Store at 5am. I'm not sure where else I am headed, but that is the must do.

morning all!

:scared1: :scared1: it's snowing here!! the kids were excited until they realized they wouldn't be able to go outside for recess.

my kids seem to be all better...i'm still waiting for noah to get sick though.

mic--good luck to your mom today...she will be in my thoughts:hug: oh, and i don't think i will try the turkey thing this year...sounds like waaay to much work for me:laughing:

ocm--where did you decide to eat on turkey day?

mac-- hope things are going okay for you and your family with all those dr. appointments.

ks--are you done cookin' yet?

gant--where are you? seems you have been to busy for us lately:sad1: hope you check in soon.

bob--how did the muffins for mom go?

ed--how did your last trip to WDW go? you never mentioned anything about it.

Does everyone have friday off?

I think we might put up our x-mas stuff tomorrow as we don't need to be at my aunts until 6pm

Have a good day everyone.

Momma, that is nice that TVT is spending his big 5-0 doing something fun. He loves golf, so that should be right up his alley:thumbsup2

Very nice here today and already around 60 degrees...I can't keep up with the weather, it is cold, warm and everything in between.

Got some work to do, so I'll drop in later

Mic I'm not gonna be able to get up to see OCM and the kids this time. :sad1: It won't be the same this year that's for sure. I will go play golf Friday with the guys and I'll make them let me use the SENIOR TEES!!! :cool1:

So anyway.......Happy Thanksgiving again everybody...LYMI

OCM....Nico....Julie.....Sammie...Love you guys......:grouphug:

guess what i just did????

I just washed trent's razor cell phone. I am hoping it will dry out and still work but i kinda doubt it will:sad2:

He knows he is suppose to empty out his pockets before he puts them in the laundry. He is going to get an ear full when he gets home.

morning test buddies.
well, kind of like it's still before noon time...

pam, kiss the razor phone good bye.
water is not a cell phone's friend.......

do try to use a hairdryer on it to clear up the moisture.
then later when you think it is dry, try calling his number to see if it works.

sweets, prime rib ressies for 1 tomorrow.
i am guessing around 6:30 tomorrow night it will be time for whoppers then.

where did you decide to eat at?

mic, keep us posted on mom's condition.
still have you all on my prayer list.

had to take off work today. needed to get things organized and updated with the ssa people. it is like a full time job handling all of this.
have another doc appointment at noon for son today.
was able to get his meds picked up last night so that's a start.

in my next life, i want a normal family.

see you later gator.....

OK..I have great news and something truly to be thankful for this year. Lee had been out of work since Halloween. It is a long story..but today he accepted an offer. It's a little less money annually, but the company is BCD travel and they get a TON of perks, especially on vacations. The latest he would start would be Dec 3rd, but we are hoping they can push the paperwork through and he can start next week. It would make a difference on when the insurance would kick in and that is really big when you have three little people.

I have been overly stressed out since Halloween and TVT has been there every step of the way, listening to me cry, complain and last and most of all completely freak out. I am really going to miss him this Thanksgiving..but I am very thankful that I have such an amazing friend.

So..my plans for Thursday..I haven't decided. I have reservations at Maggiannos and their menu looks amazing. But..it is a lot of food for just the 5 of us. So, I could still go to Fridays and I could even pick up Boston Market and bring it home.

I changed my Friday plans a little. I think I am going to take the kids to see the movie Enchanted. That and maybe go bowling...after shopping that morning of course.

Pam - that sucks about the cell phone!! Did you have insurance on it?

Mic - I agree. TVT is an amazing golfer and he is doing what he loves to do. Everyone should spoil themselves..especially when they get old & senile.

Mac - In my next life..I want a normal family too!! Oh..and I want to be extremely weathly. At least we get to pick our friends right?

I'm really pleased Lee took the job. :thumbsup2 I've told you since day one my dear....I'll always be here for you.So you just cry and whine anytime you need to. I'm bummed too that I can't be there with you and the kids tomorrow...:sad1:

WAIT A MINUTE!!! SENILE???? Remember a post or two back when I said I loved you and the kids??? Well now it's JUST the kids....:rolleyes1

;) you know that ain't true huh?

My Thanksgiving wish for us all...

health, love, happiness, normalcy (y b normal;) , although it's on mac's list so i'm throwing it in:) ) and buckets of $s:thumbsup2

enjoy the holidays guys!

mic - hope everything went well with ma! I spent over an hour throwing out expired can goods in my mom's larder this am...no wonder she always has a stomach ache...said she'll need to re-stockpile next week - NOT!

pam - u r taking the cell phone incident better than I

ocm - still waiting for dell to let me know if they "approve" my configuration:confused3 evidently, proprietary stuff?

i called my cell company and they said i denied the insurance:confused3 No one EVER asked me if i wanted it!! I would have taken it if it was offered to me because I know how trent is. the cheapest phone they have which is a plain phone...no camera nothing is $140...i'm thinking i am going to make him pay 1/2. I will pay half since I am the one who put it in the washer....even though it is his responsibility to empty his pockets.

ocm--that is cool that lee accepted the job. how cool would that be to get travel discounts.

ks--did you build a computer? I got a flyer in the mail from dell that i am thinking about ordering for the kids for x-mas.

mac--what is a normal family?

mic--how is your mom? have you heard how her surgery went?

tony--happy birthday if we don't see you before then

Two pies baked and the turkey brining in the fridge, and here I am...we got off around 3:30 today so that helped some. I was home around 4 so I got a little earlier start on baking.

The surgeon called me around 4:30. What he went in and removed and repaired went well and as he hoped for. She did have some racing of her heart prior to surgery, but heart dr. ok'd it, and I guess she had a slight episode during the surgery, so she is now in ICU until cleared by heart doc's. I called the ICU and spoke with her nurse. She said she was having considerable pain, so they were medicating her for that. The nurse seemed rushed, so I guess she was tending to my Mom, so I just said please tell her we called and we love her. I will call again tomorrow morning to see how the night went. Now we have to hope nothing was/is cancerous. What a lot to go through at 80 years old, but it happens and it is what it is. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts...today was a long afternoon for me. And then my cell phone rang twice while I was waiting to hear, both wrong #'s...:headache:

Momma, that is wonderful news for you and Lee and I wish him well. Hope you get lots of perks out of it. and I can imagine how thankful you feel...I'm very happy for you guys.

TVT...HAPPY BIRTHDAY...couple more years and you'll be caught up to me ;) Enjoy the 'senior tour' on Friday........

KS, are you ready for the hoard tomorrow that is coming to eat? LOL...I'm cooking for 4 and I feel the sleeplessness getting ready to set in thinking about what I have to do...I'm keeping it simple though, so we will be fine.
What kind of Dell are you configuring? I love my Dell and we have Dell's at work.

Still quite warm here.......very strange

Pam, oh yuck on washing the phone...that just plain sucks big time...I can't believe they won't give you a better deal on the phone, just tell them you will sign on for another 2 yrs.

I have to agree, normal would be nice..this has been some 1/2 year....my year started going south around June...and it's been one thing after another...but I'm still thankful for a lot of things and try not to dwell on the negative, but man, it's hard.........that's why I'm glad I have you all as friends:grouphug:

mic - glad to hear all is well w/mum:) ; i'm bushed-wacked lol so glad DH is pitching in; he might even take the empty paint cans out of the DR now that the LRs been painted for a week:rolleyes1

#1 turkey is done, stuffing just needs the bread added tomorrow & i'll cook it w/#2 turkey (refuse to make 3 this year).

Threw a Sara Lee fruit pie (strawberries, rhubard, blueberries, etc). we already polished off 2 of the pumpkin pies, 4 left. DH & I are deciding whether to have a beer or a piece of pie..hmm.

pam - hopefully, dell will decide to build my computer afterall, so weird it has to pass muster with the tech geeks:confused3 ; they promised it by the 29th...since we leave on the 30th that would be swell.

ocm - i didn't know about your troubles, here's to things looking up for you.
