I was a little skeptical at first because I usually like to manage every detail myself but we had booked a trip for the last week of August on a whim and didn’t have any big plans so I decided to take them up on their offer. I emailed them a list of dining reservations and a fishing excursion I wanted in advance. Today at my 60 day mark they emailed me back at 6:45am to say they had all been secured (for my party of 11) and I just have to call in with my credit card to secure in the next few days. I’m impressed! Was nice not having to be up for 6am and have the website crash multiple times while stressing to get reservations 😂

Are you in a GV? They’ve been doing this for a few years I think for poly bungalows, copper creek cabins, and all GVs.

We had them book our dining reservations during our last bungalow stay. They booked all our dining reservations for 8 days and did a great job.

It’s a great service!

I had forgotten this - we have a GV booked in January, and it would be marvelous if we didn’t have to stress about booking ADRs!

I hope the OP will comment on whether or not they are in one of the high roller room types!

I would love this kind of white glove service (and not waking up at ungodly hours on the West Coast) but do not need all the space of a GV. I have been meaning to try out a cabin though. 🤔

Is this a service provided with not for direct members? We are booking a GV for next summer (party of 10) and this would be fabulous!

White glove service indeed, very nice! Especially the assist with the ADRs, as everyone has noted. I wonder if it is only for direct members though, as I have GVs booked for the end of August at both BLT and AKV and haven't seen anything like this. All my contracts are resale.

We had this same thing in 2022 when we were booked in a RIV GV. So they've been doing this for at least a few years for certain reservations.

My take on it - it was kind of nice to not have to get up at 3am (PDT) to reserve ADR's, but they didn't get many of my first choices, so I ended-up eventually changing most of them anyway. The rest of the services were kind of nice but certainly not essential, and you can do all of them yourself fairly easily. Basically, I would use this again as long as it stays free, but it would never be worth paying for this service, IMO.

We got this e-mail for our upcoming stay at a SSR GV, but I didn't bother with it as there wasn't anything that we needed them to do. Heck, we still aren't 100% sure of the exact number of people that will be with us! :)

We are in a GV at OKW! Never thought about that being a factor!

We technically did not buy direct but it was before all the restrictions so we do have the blue card perks.

Oh my, I wonder whether this service will extend to help with booking LLs under the new system? Maybe not have to be up and awake at 6:00 AM Central, 7 days before checkin, to book LLs at 7:00 AM Eastern? (OTOH, DD is always up at that time - I'll let her do it, if this service won't! :cutie: )

That would be amazing! We have 8 of us, but it's 2 families so it's cheaper to book 2 1 bdrms than 1 villa.

I am wondering why Member Services wants to do this. I mean it takes time and thus money so what is in it for them?
Good question. There was a much bigger thread on here about this in late 2022, if I recall correctly. The hypothesis at the time was that DVD was using this as a test/practice to eventually open it to all DVC members as a paid service. But so far, that hasn't happened, so IDK.

Considering there are thousands of Disney travel advisors or whatever they call themselves on Instagram jumping over each other to do this for people for free, I can't fathom who would pay for it. Granted DVC members can't book with a travel specialist, but we also know what we're doing (or we wouldn't have bought DVC).

We do know what we are doing - true. That said, it was so nice to email them a list of the dining reservations that we wanted, they made the reservations (along with some back ups if the specific time wasn’t available), and then they called once it was all done. It was so nice to not have to book each dining reservation ourselves at zero dark thirty. Depending on the price, I would totally pay for this.
