Diamond Horseshoe-walk in?

We are going to MK 7/8 and currently have Diamond Horseshoe reserved for their first reservation 12:20. I am thinking, with the heat, if we do an early morning we might want to go back to hotel by this time to relax and then return to the park. Is it easy to get a walk-in for this restaurant or should we hold our reservation? TIA!

I suppose it depends on crowds that day; however, we were able to book in the late afternoon on Friday, June 20th for a 6:40 pm reservation. I think I booked it around 5 pm.

For the month of July Diamond Horseshoe is one of the restaurants AP holders get 40% off Mon-Thurs. That might make walk ups a little more difficult to get. Liberty Tree has the same menu so thats an option too.

Whenever I’ve stopped in Diamond (for their water station) in the month of July, it was pretty quiet. Not sure if it was due to the heat and heaviness of the food or time of day ( we normally hit MK early in the day and then scoot out) but the AP discount will probably change things around.

I’d be inclined to stick with the current ADR and then leave the park immediately after. You could always return later in the day.
