Pathology report next week.
Resting comfortably.
Hugs Mel
Thank you for the update. I've been thinking about you and your brother today, might have said a prayer or two. I'll continue to pray for the results to be positive.
Take a deep breath, think good thoughts and rest for a few days. Try not to worry. Your health is important as well.

I'm thinking that airmiles just jumped the gun on that A-mazon offer. Prime Days are coming soon and i think that's just a sneak peek!

So glad your brother's surgery is over and he's moving into the next phase of his health journey. Positive vibes for whatever the results are and that a plan is put in place to help him.

I got gas yesterday and opted to do the premium for 95 miles. My new car does not require the premium but an extra $8 for the miles is ok with me and I would not have been able to wait until next weekend for the $1/1. Interesting, I went straight home after getting gas and checked the AM app when I got there...at most 20 minutes later. Nothing was there for that purchase and it always posts immediately. I then looked at the Shell app and it was showing there as part of the monthly count. The miles did eventually show up on the AM app at some point in the next 4-ish hours and all was there including the 95. I only ever put in the 30L so that I make the 3 or 4 every month. This was my 3rd for the month so I earned 141 miles.

Not sure if doing the 30L at a time is going to continue for me. The new car is bigger and has a bigger engine, so uses more gas. Once things settle down and I stop wanting to drive all over the place I will have to see how much gas I will be using. I hate getting gas so more trips to the station will not be welcome. I might be just filling the tank right up. That said, if AM doesn't start giving us something better to work with I might be stuck with my current gas routine. All I'm really earning on a regular basis is from gas and BMO. UGH, how I miss the days of spending a Saturday driving from Sobeys to Sobeys to Sobeys buying gift cards with gift cards :sad2:

and BTW, I mentioned a while back that my BMO AM card was being discontinued and they were downgrading me to the basic card. I called and complained saying that they should have given me the option to choose which card I preferred....downgrade or upgrade. The downgrade was going to be cutting my AM nearly in half and that if I had no other option I should be given some significant bonus miles. The lady I spoke with agreed and put me on hold to see what she could do. When she came back she said that I could have the upgraded card with the same offer as if I was a new customer. She also submitted a formal complaint, I was sent an email confirmation of that complaint. This was back in mid May and I still don't have the new card. My old card was discontinued as of May 29th but I'm still using it. I predict another phone call in my near future.

That's really bad on their part. My BMO debit wasn't due to expire until September and I got a text the other day to say that my new debit card was in the mail (arrived a day or two later). That was 3 months early. I would definitely be calling them about the M/C.

I'm actually going to downgrade my BMO World Elite AM MC to the no-fee one in November. They do have an AM promo of spend $1500 in the first three months and get 1200 miles.

I am in the middle of my free year of my TD aeroplan VISA and ramping up my aeroplan points right now. I plan on keeping it after the year as I will get another 15,000 bonus miles.

The expiry on my card is August but right after they sent the letter saying my card was discontinued they sent a new card...the basic card. When I called nothing was actually said about them sending another card. So maybe my fault but I think it goes without saying that if I've agreed to the upgraded card (and we did discuss the annual fee) they should send one. I guess when my next statement arrives next week I will see what's what.

There is a note across the top of the online banking page that says they are sending out cards early due to possible Canada Post disruptions. It's been there for a couple months now so that would be why your card came so early.

My eldest son and family are among a large group of people who were evacuated from Samuel de Champlain Park after a tornado ripped thru the area around 11 last night. It took until about an hour ago before they actually made it to the front of the park and got in an ambulance to Mattawa. Took shelter in the car just before it was crushed under about 5 trees. A few other campers managed to help them out thru the hatch after about 30 minutes . They went with 2 other families and all have kids the same age as Arthur, 3 part of a moms group

No idea how they'll get home to orillia, as i said at least one car was totaled, none of the camping gear was left standing.

Didn't get much sleep worrying about my babies!! Seems our son is one of the only people who has intermittent cell service. The official info is sketchy at best.

I got the Aeroplan visa 2 years ago. The bonus points were just too good to pass up. In total I think I got 90K in that first year and no annual fee. I had planned to cancel it but I can easily earn back the annual fee just in free checked luggage.

Whoa....that's crazy! Thankfully everyone is ok. I had the news on his morning and nothing was said about a tornado.
I did see severe weather warnings yesterday that included possible tornados. Did they not know about that?

OMG Jaqueline, what a night you and your son have had. You worrying, him everything else he's gone through. My thoughts are with you today until you hear more news and they are safe and sound at home.

There is still little to no cell service in the area, roads are completely washed out, no electricity most areas and a shelter in place order is still active. Look up Mattawa on Facebook that's where I'm getting the info that I'm feeding to our son and his group.
That and the Twitter feed from the OPP (don't have, just relying on updates posted to Google newsfeed)
It's impossible for even EMS vehicles to navigate the area at the moment, it will take days for boots on ground evaluation to provide official reports

Officials say Mike Rodden Arena in Mattawa has been declared an evacuation centre.

"Those needing shelter, not able to get home, shelter and food available there," Calvin Township stated.

Hope they get this info,,,best news is all are alive and will have a story to tell.

Thank Heavens they are safe! It doesn't stop the worry and the "what ifs" though. Thinking positive thoughts for you, your son and his family, and all those affected!

OMG
Words can not describe. I am so sorry they had to go through that terrifying nightmare but so so happy they are safe.
Many caring loving thoughts are being sent their way.
It's ok mama they will be ok. My heart goes out to you Jacqueline.
BIG hugs Mel

Thanks, Mel. I hope that I can remember that on Friday/Saturday.
