Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Thanks Michelle - I didn't wear jeans much until recently either. They just never seemed to fit right... I'd have to get them big enough for my butt, but they were always too big in the waist. Some pants I'd get with the elastic just so they were fit better in the waist. Won't have that problem much longer :p :p :p

I'm going to check out the low rise boot cut when I go to get pants next time. Any certain brand you like better? I also read in that same article that women with the big bottoms also look better in heals. Makes us (ME) look taller... You obviously have had the right idea ::yes::

I'm over the bowling... and thanks....

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Tera, you are strolling and slurping your 0 point soup down to a new clippie!! Look at that ticker slide!!

I had the same problem with the waist being too big, very annoying. The low-rise fits below the natural waist so it's not a problem. I have many pair of Route 66, it's a K-Mart brand and I love them! I have jeans and also some business casual pants in this style and I feel so good when I wear them. Yep, I love my heels! LOL I have about 40 pairs of shoes and 35 of them have some sort of heel on them.

I'm glad to see that you're a fan of The Biggest Loser! I'm totally addicted. I was SO happy to see Dave go tonight, my gosh was he annoying. Every time the red team has been in there I've wanted him to go home, I'm glad my wish came true tonight.

Thanks Terry!!! I'm doing the electric slide......:hyper:

Michelle - I'm going to check those out and see how they look on me. There's a K-Mart by the bowling alley, so I'll go by next Tuesday. You and my DD's would get along so well, especially my oldest. She's 12 and LOVES shoes already:hyper:

OH MY GAWD!!! We're still watching The Biggest Loser and haven't seen who gets eliminated and you already know!!! That's too funny :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: I like the Blue Team anyways:D The show inspires me to workout hard and stay OP.

Oh Dude! I'm so sorry! I completely forgot about the time difference. I hope I didn't ruin it for you! I like the blue team better too! The red team just seems to have such sorry attitudes. They are bad winners and they are bad losers. The only person on the red team that I like is the dark haired girl, Kelly. I wish they could put Mo on the red team and Kelly on the blue team then I would be happy. LOL I just think Mo is cheating or something unless he has some kind of medical condition. Someone his size should be dropping some major pounds at the start of a weightloss program and the people a third his size have lost more weight than him! Have you been to their website? It was interested to read through their food journals.

Hi Tera,

I was reading your post about jeans. i have the same problem, and I love low rise boot cut. I have a couple of pairs of levis. The only problem is they are stretch, so I don't get the reminder to stop eating.:p

Have a great day, and I probably won't see you til Monday.
Beth

Michelle - That's fine, don't worry about it. I just thought it was funny at the timing :D I agree with you about Mo. A guy that big should be dropping tons of weight and what was he last night, 0 loss? I love that show and I'll have to check out the web site.

Hi Beth - I'll have to check out those pants next week... maybe I'll buy a 14 and give myself something to shoot for :p I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and we'll catch up next week

I think he lost a pound last night, that's insane! You can tell their trainer is so frustrated with him too.

I hope you and your family have an awesome Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, Tera!

Okay ladies, you need to share the joys of low rise jeans. I never try them because I am afraid my belly will just flop over the edge! TMI?

Michelle - If the team didn't need his weight loss so bad, he would have been outta there.

Well tonight was the beginning of a LONG weekend. DH got home early and we went to TGI Fridays for lunch. I had a side salad and half of a sandwich and of course, 1 beer:p I ate the sandwich and most of the salad and I felt sick after  Kicked back the rest of the afternoon, watching movies and then headed down to the neighbors for a cocktail (or two... three... four...) I had 5 Mike's Hard Lemonade's :earseek: :earseek: and then we ordered pizza, which I had two slices and two small chicken tenders. I swear I thought I was going to puke after. I don't know if it was from the drinking or the pizza. I'm not in the process of sucking down water. I had a good workout today (20 minutes weights, 13 minutes on the step machine, 30 minutes on the bike and 25 minutes on the treadmill so I'll use my AP to off set tonight) Tomorrow is going to be a challenge, but I think I'll be okay. Need to stay away from the alcohol this weekend and think about those 1.2 pounds I need to lose...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving:sunny:

Terry - I know what you mean about the tummy hanging over :hyper: I'm still going to give them a try and see how they fight. Might need to wait a few more weeks before I'm "ready" for them though

Terry and Tera, here is a picture of me in my favorite pair. I was 224lbs. in this picture, the jeans are an 18, they have no type of stretch to them whatsoever, thankfully and also sadly they are getting too big for me now, especially in the butt. Anyway, I thought I would post a picture of how I look in the jeans and maybe you could get an idea of how you might look. I think they are really slimming personally. ::yes::

Michelle - Thanks for posting the picture. It's always nice (and sometimes sad) when pants you like get too big :p You said those were low rise? They look higher in the waist than I would have thought. I look forward to trying some on next week :D

Hi Tera,

I bought a couple of pairs of Lee riveted ultimate 5 jeans at Sears. They are pretty comfortable. They are low rise, but not drastically so, boot cut, and they have a little bit of Spandex in them for "give", which is great when they come out of the dryer!;) I got 12's and 14's so depending on my level of "bloat" for the day, I can choose! :teeth:

Have fun shopping. It's always great to buy new clothes. Are you hitting the stores today?

Yep, they are low-rise, this particular pair sits just below my natural waist but I have a couple of other pair I have to be really careful about when I sit down...I had to invest in some low-rise underwear too... :p

AP - Thanks for the info. I like the Covington brand at Sears, so I'll have to see if they have any low rise in that brand. I like the spandex fabric too.

No shopping for me today. I did it once "The day after Thanksgiving" and didn't find it worth getting up early and dealing with the crowds. I like to do my shopping when the kids are in school during the day.

Michelle - Too funny about the low rise underwear:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: I'll have to keep that in mind when trying pants on.

Well today is the DAY AFTER. I think I did really well with my eating, but I did not get a walk in before dinner or after  I was very careful trying almost everything, but just a tablespoon or so. Everyone complained that they were sick because they ate too much, but I was full, not STUFFED. Today DH woke me up at 8:00am so I could go to the gym. I was determined to get some kind of workout in. I did about 15 minutes on the weights (working just my upper body), 40 minutes on the eliptical and 30 minutes on the bike. I felt good when I left and thought I could take a nice shower before going to our yearly "after Thanksgiving movie". I wanted to see National Treasure, but it wasn't early enough so we went and saw SpondgeBob Squarepants with the neighbors. Can't believe I actually paid money to see that. It was cute, but would have been better as a rental.

Getting ready to put up our tree and do some decorating around the house. I would like to get as much done today, so I can enjoy the weekend off.

Oh, made the mistake of weighting myself yesterday (before dinner) and I was up to 187.5. Of course, it is now that TOM so I'm hoping it's all water. The scale was the same this morning, so atleast I didn't go up anymore. I'm hoping by Monday the water will be all gone and I'll be back down to 184.2, if not more....

I just re-read my post from the other day and realized I had posted the wrong weight. I guess it's still hard for me to realize that I'm not in the 190's anymore and hope to never be there again. Anyways...........

Well today is Sunday and it's football day.... Slept in till about 9:00am and there is snow on the ground and it's still coming down. They said it will snow all day...

Had a bowl of cereal this morning and then a tuna sandwich on wheat with some chips for lunch. Didn't eat too many chips and I'm drinking lots of water. I had a WW meal for dinner and still drinking LOTS of water. I'm trying to keep my losing another 1.2 pounds in mind, but I have to remember that I lost 3 pounds last week and should be happy about that. But I really really want to be at 25 pounds. I need to keep losing to stay within my goal and I would like to be at 30 pounds by the end of the year. That still leaves 38 pounds to my goal, which will be tough, but I think I can still do it,especially if I increase my weights. Today I will keep sucking down water and pray my fantasy football team wins. I can't wait to be under 180 for the first time in almost 10 years..... I did get on the scale yesterday and I'm down to 185, so I'm thinking I'll be back to my 184 by Tuesday since I should be done with TOM and extra water should be gone. Kids might have a delayed school schedule (one hour late start), so I might try and get off to the gym before they leave. I figure I'll do some shoveling of the drive-way for some extra exercise :bitelip:

We got our Christmas tree up yesterday and most of the house decorated. I love when all the lights are up, candles are lit and DH has a fire going.... :flower: DH got lights on the house up yesterday, thank goodness since the house is covered in snow today. :bitelip:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Oh... shouting out a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my girlfriend MICHELLE today!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi Tera,

You are doing an awesome job. Just sampling all the goodies on the holiday is the way to go. I am so impressed with your exercise again. I am sending :wizard: for your weigh in tomorrow. Keep drinking and the Whoosh fairy is sure to visit. I know that you will make you goal. You are determined, and that is half the battle.

Have a great evening,
Beth

Thanks Beth - I peeked at the scale again today (Bad Teresa bad :earboy2: ) and it said 184, so I'm sure by tomorrow, it'll be lower :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Today has been a pretty good day, but went by quick. Kids had a late start for school, so they got to sleep in (I was up at 6:15am). After dropping kids off at 9:15, I headed to the gym. I did 20 minutes weights, 30 minutes eliptical, 30 minutes bike and 40 minutes on the treadmill. I hated being there after 11:00,but I needed to get a good workout in, especially with weight in tomorrow. Did some grocery shopping after and then headed home for a shower and pick up around the house. Before I knew it, kids were home and getting ready for sledding. It is so stinkin' cold out today (about 20 degrees)... as soon as that sun hit behind the mountains, I was outta there. I'm having my 0 point veggie soup for dinner (I had a slimfast for breakfast and oatmeal for lunch). Haven't had much time for snacking (good for tomorrow, bad for my tummy :D )

Tomorrow is weight in day and also I'll be taking my measurement... we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Well today was weight in and I lost only .6 for a total of 24.4... Just can't seem to get that 25 pounds! I shouldn't complain because I did lose 3 last week and the fact that I lost ANY during a holiday weekend is a mircle in itself. I can't seem to change my ticker since they changed everything. I read they were working on it. Anyways, my measurements for this week are:

Chest 36.5 (down 1/2")
Waist 33.5 (down 1/2")
Hips 43.5 (same)
Upper Arm 13 (same)
Outer Thighs 47 (same)
Thighs 27.5 (same)
Calves 15.5 (same)

For a total of 16 inches! I hope to see the rest of those numbers go down in two weeks when I measure again :D
