Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Hi Tera,

I got the movie for a stocking stuffer for Katie. I love movies where the humor is appropriate for adults AND kids. It makes the 100th viewing much more pleasant.

I hope you are having a great day.
Beth

Terry - That's a great scene. I was going to get it for the girls, but I really wanted to see the movie again:teeth:

Beth - I'm sure Katie will love it. After seeing it again, there are so many things I didn't catch when we saw it at the theater. You could probably watch that movie over and over and not catch everything. I think it's better (more entertaining) than the first.

Well today hasn't been the "best" day. I dragged my sorry butt out of bed at 6:30 (as usual) and was aching a bit :earseek: Katie woke up early and wasn't feeling well. She felt warm and said her stomach was bugging her. With everything that is going around already at school, I went ahead and kepted her home. She was running a bit of a fever, so good thing. I went ahead and went to the gym for a little while, doing 15 minutes on the step machine, 30 minutes on the treadmill (my mp3 player died  ) and 30 minutes on the bike. That's about all I had the energy for and went home to check on Katie. She's been running a fever (not too high, but high enough), so we stayed home and I did stuff around here, caught up on email and actually got a shower in :teeth:

I can officially say I'm out of size 18 pants since my 16's that I've had for over a year officially fit without being snug :bounce: :Pinkbounc I can't imagine walking into Kohl's or JcPenny's and pulling a 16 off any rack and having them fit  I will not be buying any new pants until my 16's are hanging on me and I can bypass 14's and go straight for the 12's!!!!!:bounce: I have a pair of 14 white shorts (they look smaller) hanging on the outside of my closet, daring me to get into them. I won't try them on until after the first of the year and just PRAY they fit.

Way to go getting into those 16's, Tera! That's my first stop on the size down track, I'll be glad when I get there. I don't think it will be long because my 18's are getting so baggy in the waist and droopy in the bottom. You'll be in those shorts before you know it!!! ::yes::

I'm sorry Katie isn't feeling well, I hope she is better soon!

Thanks Michelle - Katie was home again today (lucky me:crazy: ) Her fever is down now and I'm sure she'll be back to her annoying self tomorrow :hyper:

Today wasn't too bad. Nick was home today, so he was able to stay home with Katie while I went to the gym this morning. Did 20 minutes on the weights (my poor arms) 40 minutes on the eliptical and 30 minutes on the bike. I was sweatin' like a dog:earseek: :earseek:

Came home and cleaned up before I had to run out again. Volunteered to help at Jessica's school serving Thanksgiving lunch to all the kids. Was a lot of fun and they had a huge turnout of parents to help. Went to the store, then came home and had lunch. I was STARVED by then. I was proud since I didn't "indulge" in lunch (I'm saving myself for next week). Actually laid down and took a nap (Katie even joined me) and I'll be off to Happy Hour in a little while. Not really in the mood, but I'll make an appearence and then come home. Nick and Katie will stay home and watch movies.... We're expecting 3-6 inches of snow in the next 24 hours here, so I'm not looking forward to doing errands tomorrow in that :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Sounds like you had a great day! I'm sorry Katie is still not feeling well but at least Nick was home to give you a bit of a break.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I'll take some of your snow if you really don't want it! :teeth:

There is the S*** word again!

:faint:

Note to self: You *really* need to go and buy a winter coat!

Hi Tera!
Sorry Katie isn't feeling well again. Poor girl. It stinks being sick, although it is nice how quiet kids are with a fever. :p I hope she feels better soon and the rest of the house can stay healthy!

You are doing great on your workouts! Those 14s will be baggy before you know it! ::yes::

Thanks Michelle and Terry...

Katie is feeling better and her fever is gone. She's thrilled because she has a birthday party to go to tomorrow.

Great job Michelle on getting that 15 pound clippie!!! 4 more pounds and we'll be even :teeth:

Terry - The thing I really hated about living in St Louis was the ice  and it was SO cold there. I can deal with snow here since it melts pretty quickly.

Last night was happy hour and I did really well with trying to stay within my points. I had some chips and guacamole for snack and then shredded beef taco w/ tomatoes, onions and lettuce (no cheese no sour cream) I also drank 3 Mike's Hard Lemonade, but then followed up with lots of water. Wasn't as bad as I thought (had a dream last night that I gained 5.7 pounds back :( ) If I can get through the weekend without "indulging" I'll be okay.

Hi Tera,

I'm glad your Katie is feeling better. Yeah! She got to go to the party. Guacamole sounds really yummy. With all your exercise, I know you'll work it all off.

Have a good night,
Beth

Yeah! Katie is feeling better. It is nice when you don't have to worry about your little ones not feeling well.

I think it sounds like you did very well at the happy hour, Tera! Good job on ending the night with lots of water! :drinking:

Thanks guys... She's definitely back to her feisty self

Okay, did well with eating today... oatmeal this morning, salad for lunch and salad and pizza (I had the points, so I used them :p) for dinner . Had a few snacks here and there, but was well under my points. Been trying to drink LOTS of water. Took Katie to her birthday party and then went shopping. Still feel really fat since nothing seemed to fit right. Bought some new workout pants (first size Large pants I have purchased in a LONG time), but they are tight in the butt. Will wait a couple of week before wearing and hopefully will loosen up a bit. After trying on some size 16 pants, I felt disgusted since they were tight. I won't try on any more pants until after the first of the year and hopefully will lose 20 more pounds by then. I don't feel like I've lost 20 pounds. It's almost TOM, so I know that's why I'm feeling this way (bloated and just UGH  )

I only have 2 days to myself this week since the kids are off from Wednesday for 5 LOVELY days off :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: I'm still going to the gym Wed & Friday and will try and get a good walk in on Thursday morning (gym will be closed - LOSERS!) I'm so darn determined to stay OP and I'm not letting Thanksgiving or any other holiday get in my way of my size 14 white shorts :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Woo Hoo!! I love reading the determination in your post, Tera!! You are going to look smashing in those shorts!!!

Thanks Terry! I just hope that my results keep coming, even if it's just a pound so I don't lose my determination.

Tomorrow is my weight in for week 13 and I think I'll lose 2 pounds or atleast I hope so. Got on the scale this morning and I was 185.5, so down 1.7 pounds. Pretty good, but I would like to be down just 2 pounds even or 2.2 pounds to make it a even 185 and 23 pounds. I had a great workout today, 30 minutes on the weights (worked out HARD) 25 minutes on a crosstrainer machine, 60 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the bike. I didn't realize how long I was at the gym and I'm sure I'm going to be hurting tomorrow. Ate well today.... slimfast for breakfast and weight watchers meal for lunch and a salad and another ww meal for dinner. I have been drinking LOTS of water, but it's after 8:00pm now and I'm slowing down so I don't retain too much water for weight in. Need to remember to bring a slimfast or granola bar since I'm usually starved in the morning. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow......

Hi Tera,

I'm sending :wizard: for weigh in. You are doing an amazing job, and will not let a number deter you from your weight loss. If you do, well. I'll come over and kick more than your scale.;) JK. Yopu are truly an inspiration to me. You put in so many hours at the gym. Keep it up, and you'll keep getting results.

If you are sore today, keep motrin going for 24 hours. It will honestly help.
Take care,
Beth

Tera, I know you are going to do great over the holidays, your determined attitude is wonderful! I'm walking Thanksgiving morning as well so when you are out there think of me and I'll think of you and we'll send each other good thoughts to have a great day! :)

I hope you have a fantastic weigh in today! Can't wait to hear about it. :teeth:

Can I ask you something? How tall are you? I was just wondering because you weigh about 24lbs. less than I do and we wear the same size clothes. I'm 5'5" so I'm thinking you might be a little shorter. It always fascinates me to see how much height effects how you look at certain weights.

Thanks Beth and Michelle for the good vibes... it helped:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

My weight in was better than expected (you gotta love that) I lost another 3 pounds for a total of 23.8 pounds in 13 weeks. I wasn't even shooting for 3, but I'll take it:sunny: I'm going to try and be REALLY good this coming week, work out hard and hope for a 1.2 loss next week (more would be nice) so I can get to that 25 pounds. Looking foward to getting under 180 for the first time in almost 10 years.

Michelle - I'm 5'4" (actually a tiny bit under). I carry all my weight in my butt, hips and thighs. When I can get these saddlebags toned, I'm sure I'll start to drop in the sizes pretty quickly. I'm wearing my 16's comfortably and hope to be in 14's by the end of the year (Argh! That's like 5 weeks away :earseek: ) I'll need to post a before, during and then an after picture (when I get to goal) on the pictures page.

Tera! You're a weight loss machine!!! :faint: LOL Way to go girlfriend!!! 3lbs. is FANTASTIC!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc You are gonna be picking up that 25lb. clippie in no time! ::yes::

You inspired me to try on some size 16 jeans I have hanging in my closet, I still can't button or zip the darn things but they are closer than they've been in a long time!

I carry the bulk of my weight in my butt, hips and thighs as well but I have plenty of fat elswhere too. My face is pretty chubby. My arms are huge and I'm sure that there is enough fat in my belly that I could hybernate with the bears this winter and be just fine...

Thanks Michelle - I needed a good laugh this afternoon. You know different brand pants, even if there the same size fit differently. I like the relaxed fit (extra room in the seat and thighs). Yours will zip up in no time, just keep plugging away at it. I also read in a magazine that women like us (big bottoms) should stick with the boot cut pants because it doesn't draw attention like straight leg (all the pants I own). I'm thinking when I go for my size 14's, I'll look for those.

My day started off really well, but now I have a raging headache :earseek: and I bowled like crap today  I have since taken some motrin and trying to get over the whole bowling thing and just focusing on the fact that I lost 3 POUNDS!!!! I still can't believe it... I think it had a lot to do with the 0 point veggie soup that I had all week. Need to make another batch of that for this weekend. Going to kick back tonight, watch some TV and have some green tea.

Tera, I never would even wear jeans until a couple of years ago when the low-rise, boot cut style became really popular. Other jeans just don't fit me right but this style is fabulous. I don't wear the low-rise to show off anything, my mid-drift is most definitely covered ( ), I just wear them because they fit and I love the boot cut because I like to wear, well, boots and high heels with my jeans so it looks better to me. :) They are pretty cute with sneakers too though. They are really a pretty versatile jean now that I think about it. LOL You should definitely try them, they make your tushy look great too! ::yes::

I'm sorry you didn't bowl well, that's stinky and having a headache is even stinkier. I hope it gets to feeling better soon.

Enjoy your night and most definitely keep repeating to yourself, "I lost 3 pounds, I lost 3 pounds, I lost 3 pounds". :teeth:
