Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Hey Tera!!
Great job to Katie! We just had conferences yesterday and we are off today as well. Cool! We taped Survivor, CSI and WIthout A Trace. My 3rd grader loves Survivor.
I call it an elliptical. It certainly gives a good workout, doesn't it? No impact on that puppy! I miss having that available to workout on. I think it would make a nice workout for my crosstraining days.
You are doing great and I can see that new clippie! It is shiny and just waiting for you to claim it! ::yes:: Enjoy your Happy Hour and have a great weekend!

Thanks Terry!! I see your in St Louis now? Whereabouts? We lived in O'Fallon before moving to Denver (we also lived in St Peters & St Charles for a little while). We were out there 7 years (both my kids were born in Creve Coeur)

I guess I should post my day:

Kids were off today, but I still got up at 6:45 and got to the gym around 7:15. Did 40 minutes on the eliptical than walked 80 minutes on the treadmill. I could have done longer, but kids wanted to go swimming. Took the girls for haircuts, then the rec center to swim. I didn't feel like swimming and was able to get my "baby fix" with a friends 4 month old. Katie and I went to the airport to pick up DH and now we're kicking back before heading the to neighbors for happy hour. I made sure I earned plenty of extra AP, so hopefully I'll be good with my eating & drinking. I might try and go to the gym and get on the treadmill or bike for awhile, but I don't usually workout on the weekend. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.............

Tera, if we sold it we'd be billionaires and we could buy DCL! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You did great today, have fun tonight with the neighbors! :)

Billionaires!!! Whoo hoo!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well today is the day after Happy Hour and I don't feel TOO bad. I did really well yesterday up until dinner time. I had a good workout at the gym... 40 minutes on the eliptical and 80 minutes on the treadmill. Got home and got things together to take the girls to the pool. I took them to get their haircuts first and then we headed over to the rec center. A friend had her baby, so I was able to sit and have my baby fix while the girls swam. I had a slimfast in the morning, granola bar (2 points) for a snack and a lean cuisine type meal for lunch. At happy hour, I ate some meatballs, crackers, chips & salsa and LOTS of veggies (not necessarily in that order). Not TOO bad, but not the kind of food I should be eating. I did pass up the dessert and was very proud of myself. I had "several" drinks, but I am now consuming more water than what is on this earth and hope to flush all that bad stuff out. This morning I had a bagel & ff cream cheese and then Katie and I went to Mimi's Cafe for lunch, were I had a half of turkey sandwich and fruit (and some of her fries). Not sure what I'll make for dinner, but it'll need to be low in points so I stay OP today.

Tera, it doesn't sound like you did bad at all, well, except maybe for the drinks... :p Seriously though, you had a good day!

I hope today was even better for you! ::yes::

We have Mimi's Cafe here too! I haven't ever eaten there though, do they have good food? :)

Hi Tera!
My parents & brothers live in O'Fallon! They are spread out but are all north of 70. (Not off of K) Since you say your kids were born in Creve Coeur, I will guess they were born at St Johns Mercy.

We live in Chesterfield -- we moved here this July from Nashville, TN. DEFINITELY a big change in the weather! I want my warm temps back!

It sounds like you had a great day! WOW - that's quite a workout! I don't think I could stay on the treadmill for 80 mins.

A Mimi's Cafe just opened here. What kind of place is it?

Michelle - I hadn't been to Mimi's Cafe in awhile, but always have had a good meal there, including today. They've added a low carb/low fat menu (which I ordered the 1/2 turkey). You should check them out for lunch.

Terry - We lived in Aspen Pointe off of Mexico Road near Hwy K. We were out there for a wedding a few years back and it's incredible how quickly that area has grown. Yes, both my kids were born at St John's Mercy. My DH worked in Creve Coeur and I use to work in Clayton.

You should definitely check out Mimi's Cafe. They have a good variety on their menu: salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc.

Today I've done pretty well with eating and drinking my water. Had a low carb bagel & ff cream cheese for breakfast, 2 weight watcher carrot cakes for snack, sandwich w/ low fat turkey (on wheat) and a salad for lunch and made the 0 point veggie soup for dinner. I did sneak in 2 slices of thin crust pizza from DH dinner as well. I've had 128 ounces of water and probably will be peeing the rest of the night (or float away :fish: ). Tomorrow I'm back at the gym and plan to have a good workout. Tuesday is weight in and want to be down to 187 to claim my first 10% and my 20 pound clippie!! If I haven't lost atleast 1 pound, I'll need to tweek my diet a bit and see if that helps. My cruise is getting close and I feel like I'm slowing down too soon

Didn't get any exercise in today besides getting out of my chair and walking to the bathroom 50 times today. My fantasy football team DID win though :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Just figured out a new goal for myself. I have 24 weeks to get down to my goal weight before our trip, so I figure I need to be down another 15.8 pounds by February 6th (12 weeks) to be half way. That's doable!

I take that back... I need 24.9 pounds to get to my half way point in February. A little more, but still doable!

Tera, thanks for the info on Mimi's! :)

I'm glad you had such a great day and that your team won! Woo Hoo! :hyper:

I'm sending lots of prayers your way that you'll make your 10% goal when you weigh in on Tuesday! I know you can do it!

What you want to accomplish by February is completely doable and I have complete faith in your ability to get it done! ::yes::

Have an awesome day! :sunny:

I agree with Michelle. I checked out Mimi's website and it looks like a good place to try next time we go out. It's not at all what I expected based on how Mimi's Cafe looks.

Sending you some extra strong vibes :goodvibes for tomorrow's weigh in! You can do it!!

BTW, I know where Aspen Pointe is. Isn't it amazing how much the area has grown and changed?!?! :earseek:

Thanks Michelle!! I'll need all the prayers I can get for tomorrow. I'll need you to keep pushing me along to get to that goal in February :teeth:

Thanks Terry!! Loving those vibes:goodvibes :goodvibes

I can only imagine what that area looks like now. When we built our house in 1991, there was NOTHING around that Hwy K area. We were back there about 4 years ago and it's unbelieable how much new construction there is.

Oh, guess I should post my day...

Feeling pretty crappy earlier today, but have perked up since. Had a good workout today, 20 minutes weights, 40 minutes eliptical and 60 minutes on the treadmill. I felt good after.... Came home and did some cleaning and then got my shower in. Eating was good, slimfast this morning, 0 point veggie soup for lunch with a low carb english muffin & ff cream cheese. I had the 0 point veggie soup for dinner again with a low carb bagel & cream cheese (really LOVE the 0 point soup). I was pretty busy cleaning, so no snacking today. Drank 92 ounces of water (so far)

I'm nervous about my weight in tomorrow for some reason. I guess because I've been SO good the past week, if I don't lose anything, I will be majorly bummed. If I have lost, then I'm doing the right things. Tomorrow's also my measuring day, but I'm feeling bloated, so I might wait one more week. We'll see how it goes................

Tera,

You have been doing everything right, so I am sure weighin will be a good one. I'm sending extra :wizard: :wizard: just in case.

I think you can definately make your goal. You have been totally dedicated to your exercise regime.

Have a great evening,
Beth

Tera, I hope your encounter with the scale was a positive one! No matter what, you've been treating yourself so well and doing lots of healthy things, like water, good food, exercise. You KNOW that scale will cooperate sooner or later! ::yes::

Thanks Beth & Doreen - The scale was good to me this week:tongue:

I was down another 2.6 pounds for a total of 20.8 and reached my first 10% with WW. I also went ahead and did my measurements:

Weight 187.2 (down 20.8 pounds)
Chest 37 (down 1")
Waist 34 (down 3 1/2")
Hips 43.5 (down 4")
Upper Arm 13 (down 1 1/2")
Outer Thighs 47 (down 2 1/2")
Thighs 27.5 (down 1 1/2")
Calves 15.5 (down 1")

So I'm down 20 pounds and 15 inches!!!!!! Wow! Until you measure and look at your starting results, you don't realize how many inches are really gone. I'm SO stinkin' excited today.

Off to bowling.... I'll post later tonight
:sunny:

Ew... I forgot to mention earlier that I got my blood results back and my cholesterol is down from 187 last year to 174! I was pretty excited because I've always had a low cholesterol and about 2 or 3 years ago, it had gone up to 199 from the weight gain (I had always been in the 160's). It shows my weight loss and diet are helping. Everything else was fine, so I'm healthy a horse, but I don't feel like one and hopefully won't LOOK like one pretty soon :p

Anyways, just thought I'd share my good news about the outside and now the inside.

Oh, eating has been very good and drinking TONS of water as usual. I love that 0 point veggie soup from WW, that I made another batch today and had some for dinner. I think not counting my AP points has helped me lose the 2.6 points and get back on track with my goal. I'll do everything I did this past week and hope I can lose another 2 by next week::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

:thewave: Tera!! :thewave:

GIRL, You ROCK!!!! What a GREAT job you are doing! I hope you are proud of yourself, because I know I am proud of you!!

Thanks for being such an inspiration to me! Congrats on hitting your first 10% goal! I know you will continue to hit your goals with your determination!

Go Tera! :cheer2: Go Tera!! :cheer2: Go Tera!! :cheer2:

:cheer2: :cheer2: CONGRATULATIONS TERA! :cheer2: :cheer2:

You have so much to celebrate. You have met your 10% goal. You've lost 15 inches, and improved your cholesterol. You have proof in the numbers that you are making major positive changes in your life. Keep up the great work.

Beth

Thanks geetey!! I appreciate that. There are so many people on here that are inspirational. I just hope I can keep going and get to that goal weight before our cruise.

Thanks Beth!!!! I am happy to lose the 20 pounds, but thrilled with the 15 inches.

Well today was a good day... went to the gym this morning, did 20 minutes with the weights (focuing on my arms & chest) 30 minutes on the eliptical and walked on the treadmill for 70 minutes. My legs were a little sore after, but I'll get over it  Went to Sam's Club after and picked up a few things. Picked up Wendy's and had lunch with Katie at school. I had a Jr cheeseburger and a side salad. After, I volunteered in the library for 2 hours putting books away (my poor knees). Left there and headed straight to my doctor's appt. Everything is fine and was in and out pretty quickly. The nurse noted my weight from last year was 198, so I gained 10 pounds from Oct 03 to Aug 04. I was 210 the year before.... Hope to never see those weights on me again::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: I bought Shrek 2, so when I got home, we started watching that. I LOVE that movie:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

TERA!!!!!! YOU DID IT!!!! HURRAY!!!!!

I knew you were gonna get that 20lb. clippie this week and I must say, you look fabulous in it. :teeth:

Way to go on all those inches lost and the lower cholesterol too!

You are just simply amazing! Congratulations! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

LOVE Shrek 2!

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How much longer?

:rotfl:

Look at me! I'm a STALlion!

Okay, so we could quote that movie all day long over here. :p My mom picked it up for my kids for Christmas so now we have to WAIT to watch it again!

Keep plugging away, Tera, and you will be cruising at goal!
