Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

While I feel like I should be saying Rats because you didn't get the 25 pound mark this week, I can't because..... :cheer2: YOU ARE DOING SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! :cheer2:

I am so proud of you, Tera!! A loss during Thanksgiving?!?!? :earseek: AWESOME!!! You are dropping inches as well. Next week you can claim that 25 pound clippie (See the boards wouldn't cooperate this week either!) and we can have another celebration then!! Wooooo Hooooo!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks Terry! I guess I just needed to be reminded that I am doing pretty good and not to get discouraged. Thanks for the support!!! :flower:

Only got in 35 minutes at the gym this morning, so maybe that's why I feel like I didn't accomplish anything today. Tomorrow will be better... Note: My legs are sore as heck from working out with weights yesterday, especially the leg press. Hopefully tomorrow it'll be better :D

Eating has been good today and I've stayed OP. Slimfast for breakfast, veggie soup for lunch AND dinner with 2 slices of light wheat with each meal. I had a weight watchers snack at bowling and 100 calorie oreos when I got home from bowling. I am REALLY looking forward to my No Pudge brownie tonight for dessert :earboy2: Next week I know I'll have a bigger loss and just want to stay focused for my goal (only 156 days/22 weeks to my vacation).

Michelle - I decided I'm going to wait a couple more weeks before checking out those jeans. I'm hoping to be done another 10 pounds by the end of the year, so I think I will be shooting for 14's, if not 12's by then :earboy2:

Hey Tera! Looks like you are doing an awesome job!!! Keep it up! Nearing 25 lbs!! That is terrific!!! How's the bowling going? We're nearing our mid-season! Time is flying by! You'll be at that 25 in no time! Just wanted to check in on you and see how you are doing...sorry to be MIA and non-supportive.

Gail

Tera, please don't be bummed! I know we want those big losses every week but any loss is a great one! ::yes:: Just think another .6 and you are down 25lbs.! I know you will get there this week, in fact I'm willing to bet you go over! Not to mention all those inches you are losing!

Hey, I don't blame ya for waiting on the jeans, I hope you are in those 14's in no time! I tried on a pair of size 17 shorts today that I hadn't been able to wear in a long time and they fit great so I know that 16's are just around the corner! :cool1:

Thanks for the birthday shout out! :teeth:

Are you watching The Biggest Loser tonight? It's not on until 9pm here. I'm going to watch that new Gilligan's Island thing to pass the time. It looks pretty stupid but I'll give the first episode a shot I guess.

Hi Gail - Good to see you and thanks for stopping by. Bowling has been going okay (REALLY bad last week - average dropped 3 pins),but today was better. I'm looking forward to my leagues being over and might take next season off.

Michelle - Great job on the shorts and I bet you will be in those 16's soon.
Yes,we'll be watching The Big Loser, so don't post who gets voted off :earboy2: I have no desire to watch that Gilligan show, but let me know how it is :D

LOL, I promise I won't post who got kicked off. I will say I was upset though because it was yet another act of stupidity.

The Gilligan show was a seriously cheap rip-off of Survivor. It's not something I'll waste my time watching again.

Michelle - We watched NCIS instead (my youngest LOVES those CSI type shows and this is the only one that she can really watch).. I'm glad I didn't waste my time with that new show.

I can't believe Kelly got voted off. Mo should have been the one who went home and they are going to lose again because of him. Gary really screwed things and his team. They showed Kelly after and she looked really great. Did you see the previews next week? Looks good :D

Hi Tera,

I know you were disappointed with your loss this week, but you are doing a simply amazing job! You will definately get the clippie next week.

I watched The Biggest Loser last night too. I hadn't watched the show before. I think GGary is a schmuck. Mo should have been voted off.

I hope you have a great day.
Beth

Hi Beth - I'm over it :earboy2: I realize it was still good, especially with the holidays and next week I'll have a huge loss.

My kids LOVE Biggest Loser (they love Survivor too) Gary was an idiot and you can tell he regretted his decision right away. Next week it looks like they'll combine the groups, so that should be interesting.

 Hi Teresa!!

I've never watched the Biggest Loser but I must admit that all this talk has made me curious. :D I may have to check it out!

You have been doing an AMAZING job with your eating and exercise :worship: and boy, is it ever paying off!! You'll hit that 25 pound mark next week, I'm betting! Hang in there!! :flower1:

Thanks Doreen - I hope your right :D Just being so close drives me nuts. I can't wait for weight in next week. I think when I get to that 30 pound clippie (by end of year), I'm going to treat myself to something, not sure what, but something :earboy2: You should check out the show. It's like all the other reality (Survivor), but I find that it modivates me to work out harder.

Well tonight was a bust. :earseek: :earseek:

The day had been okay... had my slimfast in the morning, went to the gym and did 35 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of weights and then sat in the steam room and hopefully sweated off about 5 pounds :earboy2: Came home, showered, had lunch and then headed to the school to help set up for the Holiday Shop (where the kids can shop for their families for the holidays)

DH decided he wanted to go out to dinner and we had a free kids meal at TGIFridays, so I thought cool, I could do dinner. Ended up eating the grilled chicken (not bad) with fried shrimp. Yes, I said FRIED :earseek: :earseek: Also had some of the mashed potatoes and a BEER. That had to be so many darn points, I don't think I can add them all up   I'm so stuffed.... I wish I had made a better choice for dinner, but thought I deserved to "indulge" a bit, but now regret it. No dessert for me :guilty:

Tomorrow I'm planning a big day of cardio and work off some of those calories and will be good the rest of the week.

 Tera,

So how much cardio did you do today? Tera, it seems you rarely use all your flex points and activity points. They are there for a reason. No one is perfect all the time. You are also a workout machine. If you :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: today, I bet there won't be to many consequences. Just make sure that you enjoy what you are endulging in. it sounds like you had a great meal out with your family. Now, it is time to forgive yourself.

Beth

Hi Beth and thank you. I know what you mean about not feeling guilty about enjoying a good meal once in awhile. I just wish I could have made a better choice, but I'm not dwelling over it anymore. I guess the reason I'm not using those points (flex or AP) is because I'm trying to stay on target for my goal. I haven't hit a plateau yet (thank God) and want to keep changing my diet and exercising so I don't hit it anytime soon

I was only able to get in 45 minutes of cardio today, but worked it pretty hard. I was up at the school at 7:45am and helped out at the Holiday Shop till 10:00am, went to the gym for 45 minutes and then picked my Dad up to take him to the military base pharmacy to get his prescriptions. Got him dropped off and back at home to eat something for lunch. Had my veggie soup and 2 slices of light wheat bread. After lunch, headed back up to school about 1:00 and was there till 4:30. My legs hurt from standing, but nothing beats having those little kids come in and buy gifts for their parents. This one little girl was so thrilled with a bracelet she was able to get for her Mom. Almost made me cry :flower:

Tera!!
Girlfriend, I bet you are going to be REALLY surprised with your weigh-in this week! You didn't do too bad with your meal. I am guessing you had some fried shrimp on the side? Every once in a while, a big jump in points (notice I said every once in a while) will actually spur you to lose MORE weight! Weird how the body works, but I think it stirs things up. It's a strange thing but it has happened to lots of WWers.

All of this talk made me try and catch the Biggest Loser show. I agree - Mo has to be cheating and he should have been the one to go. Kelly deserved to stay. I saw the end credits and she looks GREAT!! :) Good for her. :jumping4:

The Gilligan's Island show - saw about 10 minutes and just couldn't take it anymore. We love Survivor over here (thank goodness Eliza didn't do something stupid last night!) but Gilligans Island isn't worth watching for me.

Enough TV talk. ;) You are still cruising towards that 25 pound clippie and more, Tera! Stay focused and it will be yours!

What is the no pudge brownie? Sounds tempting!

Hi Terry! Thanks for stopping by with words of wisdom :flower: I have heard people talk about screwing up your diet once in awhile to give your metabolism a shock :earseek: I think if I can get through this weekend without screwing things up, I'll be good for Tuesday. Working out the last two days have been tough (45 minutes cardio yesterday and today) Monday I'll make time for a good workout.

I was disappointed that Ami got voted off Survivor. She's from this area and I just liked her. She was tough and had the right idea about getting rid of the guys. Eliza is just as backstabbing as Scout. Oh well...

I had no desire to see Gilligans Island and now between Michelle and your comments, I won't even bother.

I'm sure The Biggest Loser will be good next week :earboy2:

You're doing great Tera! Can't wait to see how you've done come Tuesday!!

I watched Gilligan's Island for a little while that first night...it was awful...the kids like it though...they think it's funny stupid  I never started watching Biggest Loser, wanted to, but I don't watch much tv.

I love those holiday shops...I used to work them all the time.

Have a great weekend!!

Gail

Hi Gail and thank you. I'm looking forward to weight in and will hopefully will be celebrating my 25 pound clippie!!!

Today I'm feeling crappy... not health wise, but my fantasy football team is totally sucking and it's bringing me down *pouts* Slept in till 9:00am and had a bowl of cereal. Had my veggie soup for lunch with 2 slices of toast. I've been trying to drink lots of water today, but doesn't seem like I'm getting much down.

Last night I had soup for dinner, my no pudge brownie for dessert and 3 beers at the bowling alley. I was proud of myself because I wanted to drink more, but held back (having Katie there helped too). We won't bowl for 6 more weeks, so I know I can be down close to 10 pounds by then. Not many people have said anything about my weight loss(either to be polite or they just don't notice) but I'm hoping to be 30-35 pounds less and hope people will see a difference by then. Got on the scale this morning (minus pants) and I was 182.5, so I'm hoping by Tuesday, I can be down to 182. I just CAN'T wait to be under 180!!!!!!

Tonight I'm having chili... I know it's not the best thing, but I've been good all day and I have the points, so why not. I have a 32 ounce bottle of water that I will finish with my dinner. Maybe I'll even sneak in a brownie for dessert :earboy2:

Tomorrow I will have a good workout, especially weights, drink lots of water and have my veggie soup for the day.

Tera! You have to stop talking about these brownies without giving me more information! They sound awesome!! Where do you buy them? Are they just like regular brownies (which I have avoided for a long long time now)?

Sorry about your football team. I hope you don't any Rams on your team. They don't seem to be playing very well, from what I hear.

I bet that 6 week break from bowling will give everyone just enough time away from you, to really notice the change when they see you next! I think most people just don't know what to say, so they say nothing. Soon, though! Soon, the compliments will start flowing!!! :)

Here's to a GREAT week!!!! :)

Hi Terry...

I'm sorry.. I forgot to post about the brownies last time *hangs head in shame* Their called No Pudge Brownies and they are FAT FREE!!!! I find them at Safeway and King Soopers here. You add yogart (fat free in our case). It's in the baking isle, but down alittle from the cake and brownies mixes (go figure). You can make an individual size and with ff cool whip, it's only 3 points for WW :Pinkbounc

No, no Rams on my team, but Brett Favre completely STUNK and cost me a win again DH  :sad2:  :sad2:  :sad2: I only have one week left, but I think with this loss, I'm out of the playoffs :sad1: Oh well......

Today I had a good workout. Did 20 minutes on the weights, 15 minutes on the step machine (that's a tough one) 60 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes on the bike. Was feeling proud of myself and was heading home when DH called to say he had to pick up DD at school because she had pink eye :earseek: Took her to the doctors (YES, she has pink eye) and got a prescription for drops. School says if it's still red tomorrow, she'll need to stay home. Lucky me.... :earboy2: Had my veggie soup for lunch and will have it again for dinner in hopes of dropping SOMETHING for tomorrow's weight in.
