My Mom and I made a lunch reservation at Teppanyaki in Japan but haven't been in many years. How are the meals here and how is the service?

Any review would be greatly appreciated

i love that place - i've been there 2 times and have a PS for when we go back to WDW in march. the food is very good, i love how they cook in front of you and the chefs I've had have been very comical and talented. i highly recommend it! :goodvibes

We ate there for lunch in January. The food and service were both excellent. It is now one of my favorite places to eat. :flower:

We've been there 3 or 4 times - never had a bad experience. Always felt we had gotten good value for our time & money.

We went once and won't be back. Found it over priced and not really anything special....too many better places to dine in WS! Maybe if our chef had been entertaining we would have enjoyed it more but all he did was cook our food.

We were there last Thursday for lunch and enjoyed it. My DD14 and I shared the shrimp and scallops, my DDH had the shrimp and chicken and my DD9 had the child's lunch. Everything was good and we had plenty to eat. The only thing lacking is that that serve steamed rather than the fried rice that they had back in 2003.

For $1 you can add a salad or miso soup. I had the soup but the salad looked better.

They seat you at a table for 8, so you get to meet people. I really enjoyed that part. We had a great time, had a female chef who was really great with the 3 kids at the table.

We tried for PS's Tuesday am for lunch that day and couldn't. We had our pick of lunch or dinner times Wednesday or Thursday.

Did this for dinner on the 5th. Our group of 8 has a great time. Daughters boy fried didn't want the mushrooms so the cooks made us bid for the extras. Same thing for the zuccuni that was not wanted.

The childs meal comes with frozen vegi's and the cook made a big deal about he had his own special vegis.

I had shrimp and chicken and was going to share the shrimp with my daughter. When she tried to get one off my plate he stopped her. Then took them off my plate and offered them to anyone who wanted to try one.

We had a great time - just be prepared to get what you give into it. If you are quite and laid back so will the staff be.

Enjoy

We had a great experience there just 2 weeks ago on our "girls" trip. We went for lunch - I ordered sushi, the others had the chicken, shrimp and steak and shrimp and scallops, respectively. We had a wonderful cook - very amusing - and a very sweet and helpful server. Ate with a family from Maine who were delightful. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Japanese food, and watching the talented cooks prepare the food in front of you is amusing for all ages! :sunny:

I dined here Feb. 8 for the third time for lunch and loved it again. We used are AP to get 10% off our lunch. Which was added bonus. If you are a really picky eater you probably not like it that much. You kind of have to be open to different flavors.
