Just back from 4 days at WDW on the DDP and thought I would give some reviews, as you all have been so helpful in making our decisions.

Me, my husband and 4 year old daughter at dinner at Teppan Edo. This was my 2nd visit to this restaurant (the first was in 2005). I wished the appetizer was still included in the regular DDP!!!!!

We ordered sushi appetizers and the were good. The "show" at the table was fun as usual and the food was incredible. I had the Steak and Shrimp and my husband had the Filet Mignon. My daughter had the chicken. Everyone loved their meal and it was cooked perfectly. We were seated in a small room at the back (just 2 "tables") and it was very noisy - I could hardly hear the man beside me as we were making conversation. That is my only complaint.

Dessert was fine but I could have done without it. I had the green tea pudding and my husband and daughter had ice cream.

quick question, do they make you use chop sticks or can you use knife and fork if requested, i just cant use chopsticks:scared1: been to a japanese resteraunt and they only had chopsticks, thanks

YES-you can have a fork. They also tie the chopsticks together for you if you want to try using them. It is like training wheels for new chopstick users. You'll love it. Lots of fun. :)

many thanks, thats great, got nerve damage in hands so near impossible for me to use them

I have read so many great reviews about Teppan Edo, but I have to be honest and say that it doesn't even come close to comparing to the hibachi restaurant we have by home (in both the tastiness of the food and the show put on by the chef)...we unfortunately won't return there again.

I completely agree! My biggest issue is that instead of fried rice its noodles and they just didnt seem to have any taste to me.. I did enjoy the meats and veggies..

We have a ton of different hibachi places here at home that we frequent so in WDW Id rather eat somewhere else..
