I see on the menu's that are posted that the meal comes with steamed rice. At these types of places around here, you can get fried rice instead. Can you order fried rice instead at Teppan Edo? Thanks!

No, they don't have fried rice on the menu at all. The explanation I've read for this is that fried rice is a Chinese dish, not Japanese, and doesn't really belong on the menu at a restaurant that strives to be authentic.

I knew they only served sticky rice instead of fried rice but never knew the reasoning behind it. That's a tidbit I'll store. LOL. I also prefer fried rice over sticky rice but it was definitely a small thing because we loved the meal/entertainment here last May.

They also try not to duplicate menu items around the World Showcase. Since you can get fried rice in China they don't sell it in Japan.
