It's been a while since I've been on the DISboards and couldn't remember where to post this. Anyway...my family and I may have to change our orginal dates in October to December (we're not booked for anything at this time). Anyone know what the temps are like in Orlando during that time of the year?

Thanks.

We were there this past Dec 9-15 daytime temps were nice not higher than maybe low 80's and night time temps were not lower than maybe mid 60's on a couple of nights. Swimming after sunset was kinda chilly though. We were comfortable not really needing jackets at night and not feeling the need to jump in the nearest fountain during the day.
Hope this helps. If you've never been to WDW at Christmas time you will love it!

Wow! I'm surprised that the temps are still pretty warm for that time of year. I've seen pictures on the DISboards of people dressing pretty warmly for December.

We've never been during Christmas before and may have the chance to this year. We went for Halloween in 2006 for the first time as a family and loved it. This time we want to surprise my mom with a trip and originally were planning on going the 3rd week in October again. However, my "dear" DH told me today that both him and one of his employees might be submitting a proposal to speak at a conference in Monteray, CA during that week (Argggghhhhh).

We went this past Dec 12-16 (thought we ended up staying until the 17th because of snow in the northeast). They did have unseasonably high temps and it was lovely. However, I personally did not like visiting at that time of year. I didn't care for the Christmas decorations because (while they were lovely) I found myself missing Disney as I know it (and the music too).

However, I found packing to be a real pain in the butt. The temps were in the 80s, but could have just as easily been in the 40s. We had to bring everyrhing from jeans, sweaters, hats and gloves to swimsuits and tanks.

Varied.

In 2006: temps were warm every day -- I think we swam almost every day

In 2007: the kids swam for about 20 minutes on the 1st day ... 2 days were actually pretty cold. We wore coats and had to buy a blanket to wrap DD in. Then by the end of the trip - we were back to wearing shorts.

Take a wide variety of clothes.

we go in october one year and december the next year. december is ruff, 07 it was unseasonal warm. you have to pack for warm and cool weather in december. i remember one year we had our winter coats on (and were from the northeast) in december for a few days.

We were there this past december 07, and the wheater was awsome! Most days everyone wore t-shirt and pants or shorts. The humidity was great compared to all our other trips in August. There was a couple of chilly evenings where a pullover came in handy. All in all I'd say this is a great time to go as far as the wheater goes. Have a great trip!:mickeyjum

It can be just about anything. I've been with temps in the 80's and I've also been with lows in the 30's.

Yes, 30s to the 80s. That about covers December in Florida. Chances are it won't rain. Definitely packs lots of options. Layers work well. Enjoy!

Sounds like it varies. Why can't the Value Season start earlier than 11/30 this year  I would love to see the Christmas decorations set up all over Disney, but at the same time, I'm still hoping we can still go in the third week of October. That seemed to be the perfect time to go.
