Temperature Checks

If a guest was denied entry into Disney World just only due to an elevated body temperature, does that mean that guest is banned from all of Disney parks, cruises, and resorts for life? Does anybody know also if their ticket will be refunded if they were denied entry just only because they had a fever?

Why would they be banned for life?

I was wondering since so far, based on what I heard so far from others, all guests who were denied entry or asked to leave are banned for life to my knowledge. If this happened to me (not used to checking my temperature before leaving home and not used to packing a fever thermometer when I travel) that if I failed a temperature check and asked to leave, then that would mean that I will never be allowed back at Disney even if the fever was been eliminated weeks later.

That's the first I've heard of that. If people don't follow WDW's rules in the park, they could be asked to leave. Depending on the severity of the issue, WDW may 'trespass' that individual making them unable to ever return until that tresspass order is lifted.

I have not heard reports of guests being banned over a high temp screening. Maybe if the guest punched the temp taker in the face, then I could see a ban there. As far as a high temp screen, WDW just turns the guest away for the day. The screening happens before park entry so most of the time the guest hasn't even used the ticket so there's no need for a refund. If they are returning to the park later that day and get denied over a high temp, I guess they'll need to call Guests Services.

The temp check stations include a second nearby tent for guests w/ elevated temp to be out of the sun to cool down. I guess security is nearby in case a guest has to be escorted off property. Nobody has reported this on any forums , so who knows.
Universal Studio Resorts have a slightly different way to perform there temp checks
Do they perform temp checks at airport?
Wish this would not be the new normal but just wanted to remind others to travel safely.

Looks like OP just joined today to ask this specific question....but the temp screen is just a spot check to weed out anyone who may be infectious and not know it. Once the illness subsides you can return to the park.

No, they would absolutely not be banned for life.

If you get banned for life you have tried to surpass or do something illegal. Having a fever is not illegal.

The people you know are joking around, or they have done something they are not telling you.

If WDW banned so many people for life, it would be all over the news. Getting banned for life is newsworthy usually, because people try to get in after hours, or assaulting other guests/guards etc.
Having a fever is not illegal and therefore it would also be newsworthy to report about.

Right. I read about a guy who jumped the fence to get into Magic Kingdom without paying. They immediately caught him and banned him for life.

But if your temperature is too high, they'll give you a chance to cool off and try again, and then if it's still too high, they'll say too bad, so sad, you can't enter today. But they won't ban you. People run fevers all the time without even realizing it.

I hope no one is actually trying to get in, knowing they have a fever.
