Tell me how do you wake up in the am?

First, I let out a long string of swear words. Then I roll over and try to rationalize sleeping later. Then I talk myself out of it, stretch, swear some more and get up.

Then I pee, spend waaaaay too much time in front of the computer, swear some more, get dressed and am out the door to work.

Good thing I live only 2 minutes from work!

Yeah, I'm really unpleasant to be around in the morning. Even more so now that I've given up caffiene. I didn't used to get up so hard, but I have a weird schedule. More accurately, I have a boss who doesn't know how to schedule. Today, I'm 10am-4pm. Tomorrow? 5pm-11:15pm. Back and forth and back and forth. Also, lately I have every other day off. Some people say they're jealous - I find it ridiculously hard to adapt to. I've been a beast at work lately - I'm just so tired. My days off I sleep 12-13 hours and usually nap, also.

You sound like me! LOL but I bet I meaner :rotfl:

Once I am out of Bed I am awake. i set my alarm every night but i am usually awake before it goes off. I do have my back up bitty kitty alarm who sits on my bladder at about 6:45 until I get out of bed to feed her If i am not up by 7 she starts meowing in my face to let me know she is starving to death. I used to hit the snooze for over and hour but stopped when i realized it was basicly training me to sleep in 9 min bursts. Once i stopped i started sleeping alot better.

I am a morning person and do not need an alarm clock. I wake up make coffee and smile for the day.:sunny: :surfweb: :goodvibes

At night...I am grumpy and should be in bed right now. I am "done" after 7PM.....:furious:

Dh's alarm goes off at 6:00 am - he gets up and turns it off and goes back to bed until the absolute last minute. I am usually dozing/half awake until my alarm goes off at 7. I wake up to the radio, and I have it set so it goes off at the beginning of the 92 second update, so I get the news and weather.

Now that we have a puppy, I have to get right up and get dressed to take her outside. I usually end up playing with her and watching tv until I leave for work. I can usually fit in a 1 hr Tivo'd show. I don't drink coffee and I shower at night, so sometimes it does take me a while to wake up. On the weekends, we leave our alarms set, but we usually get up and turn them off and go back to bed. I get up anytime between 7-10, but DH will stay in bed until noon or later if I let him. That kind of drives me nuts sometimes. I try to get him up around 11 or so.

I'm definitely a night person. Right after college I took a month off and didn't work at all. I immediately started staying up until 3 am or so, and sleeping until 10 or 11, and was happiest that way. I have the Brain Age game for my Gameboy, and it's funny to see the difference in my mental abilities when I do it in the morning before work and then when I try it in the evening. My brain is just not functioning fully in the morning.

I wake up every morning to my early riser DS. He's chipper at 7am. If DH isn't out the door by 615 it is a late start for him. He leaves DS's breakfast ready on the counter.

I generally grouch around a while and try to talk DS into to watching a movie or something so I can sleep longer. After much nagging I finally get up in a huff, and sit on the couch and watch DS play. Sometimes I'll get on the computer but that generally requires too much thought.

I'm not ment to get up before 10am. I could go to sleep at 7pm and I'd still struggle at 7am.

I also get terrible headaches if I don't get at least 7 hours. I do not function well on little sleep.

I've tried everything to change myself and it hasn't gotten any better.

Morning person here!! Something about the early morning sitting out on the deck sipping my coffee that just makes the whole world right ;)

However, on a weekday here is what I do:

Wake up at 5:00 a.m. - usually just before my alarm goes off
Quickly let out our new puppy to relieve herself
Take Shower - makeup, hair, get dressed all that junk
Wake up hubby
Start coffee
Start load of laundry
pack DH lunch (kids when their in school)
clean up living room if any glasses from night before
Wash any dishes in sink
Put laundry in dryer
Make bed, open shades & windows
Kiss kids good bye
1/2 drive to work

However, by 9 p.m. I'm beat!!
