Tell me about the Illuminations Cruise????

Can someone tell me about the Illuminations Cruise? I am not familiar with this, and I keep reading about it on the boards.

Do you have to have admission into EPCOT for this cruise, or does if board outside of EPCOT?

We have a cruise booked for our trip. It leaves from Yacht and Beach Club Marina. It is a pontoon boat that holds about 10-11. Cost is $120 (tip extra). It takes you down to WS to see IlllumiNations and then back to Yacht Club Marina. It also leaves from Boardwalk. I was told that you do not have to have park admission, since you aren't actually doing anything in the park per se. For more info, check out the thread about booking IllumiNations.

Park admission is not required. We did this on our family WDW and consider the highlight of the trip. A magical evening for sure.
