Television Monitors in Small World's 'Good Bye' room?

I know someone had mentioned tarps being up in the final room at IASW at WDW, and I noticed last week they'd kept the majority of the old signs, with two signs being changed to what appeared to be framed, compact monitors/screens.

Any idea what's going to happen there?

Were there only two? I thought I counted more than that. I expect them to be tied into the magicband. We should get our own personal Adios!

They'll definitely be tied into the magic bands. I've been reading that they'll have personalized goodbye messages for random people in your boat.

It is down for refurb for most of our trip actually...hmmmm

Guess we'll see Dec. 13th to see if it's working by then!

I hate to be this guy, but how about spending money on something that will actually enhance the guests' experience? I really think this is total crap.

I counted four monitors when we rode on 11/15. Not sure how to "Personalize" this with a TV monitors. I don't want them creepy dolls calling my name...

I could not agree more. While I think that MM+ in theory will make some aspects of your experience more streamlined and modern (e.g. park entrance, hotel door entry, merch./dining purchases, etc.), it's these weird additional things that seem like total wastes. They need to stick to making the bands work with the simple stuff first. And then get back to creating new experiences for guests - not creepy ones...

I always thought they were going to modify the song as your boat went by, using the names off your scanned magic band:
