My dh,dd(8yrsold) & myself are going to dw on July7-14).My 2 older dd's didn't want to go, they were supposed to go with there friends somewhere else, but their plans fell through. There twins,18yrs.old. We're staying at the GF RPC & theres no room for them there. Can anyone suggest where we can have them stay for the week. I'd need a place where there's alot for them to do at the resort, because they're not into going to the parks much. The CR,Poly are booked for our stay and they don't like the WL. I was leaning towards the CB, but as we never stayed there I don 't know to much about it. It doesn't have to be CB it could be anywhere else. But it has to be a resort with alot going on there. Is there any place dtd? I figure being this is a last minute trip for them, they have to settle for what they can get.( I TOLD THEM FROM THE BEGINNING OF MAKING MY PLANS "ARE YOU SURE YOU AREN'T COMING WITH US", I should have known better & just made ressies for them from the start). Thanks so much....

P.S.: a place with good transportation, because god forbid, they have to walk alittle.

You might want to check out the links below. CBR is a great resort but I would find it hard to believe that they won't have a great time no matter where they stay.

Once they are there they will be fine.

Defiantly keep your teens onsite if transportation is important to you. Transportation from the DTD resorts is mediocre at best. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the moderates.

The BWI or BC seem to fit the bill. Lots going on, and my bet is taht because it's a quick walk there, they will spend a lot of time in Epcot. The BW entertainment district will keep them busy at night. Both have great pools as well.

I would cast another vote for Yacht/Beach or Boardwalk. Great pools and easy access to Epcot/MGM. If cost becomes a factor - check into Swan/Dolphin. The pools are not as great as at the previously mentioned three resorts, but you still have quick access to Epcot/MGM (I realize you said they didn't care for the parks - but it is so close, I'll bet they go & like it). Swan/Dolphin usually have good rates- good luck!

I Think the BC/YC is a good idea. The boardwalk is suppose to be very fun at night too.

Just a thought..... Can 18 year olds check-into/stay without an adult? For some reason I was thinking you had to be at least 21.

You need to be 18 to check in w/o an adult. DS did this 2 years ago with his friends.

I echo the Boardwalk hotels.....lots to do and great pools....including the Swan and Dolphin. Actually, since they will be on property, why not book them at All Stars? They can get anywhere with Disney transportation.

Teens!! Too Funny! I have two DD's ages 15 and 16.

Good Call By Ducklite...BC or BWI would be my choice as well. Great Pool, the proximity to Epcot and MGM is wonderful.

Good Luck! ;)

Have fun...it will work out.

They will love the Boardwalk area. I go with teen boys (one mine, one borrowed) and they always want Boardwalk. Plenty to do at night and the area (and pool) seem to have lots of teens of the opposite sex to hang out with.

Of course, that may be a reason you DON'T want them there...

I don't undrstand why they can't stay with you at the GF?? Doesn't the room sleep five??? If they charge extra per night, it would only be fifty dollars and you would save on their breakfast and snacks.

I don't know about the OP but I would never stay in the same room with two 18 y/o girls! Besides being cramped for space there would be a constant battle for the bathroom! We always get two rooms at hotels and put the oldest two in their own room. I've never stayed at the Epcot resorts but would vote for them as they are in a a great location with lots to do. I would still try to get the Polynesian by calling every day for a cancellation. Resorts tend to get a lot of cancellations at the 5 day out mark so you may have a good chance.

I'd vote for any of the Epcot resorts - BW, BC, YC, Swan or Dolphin. Tons to do there - my to teens love it.

Two sand volleyball courts
All pools are heated!

ALSO, STOP BY THE CABANA BEACH HUT for:
Tube rentals

Summer apparel
Complimentary life vests

These resorts are DELUXE, and affordable~with easy access to the Boardwalk.

Visit www.swandolphin.com for reservations! Enjoy. ;)

I really enjoyed the Beach Club when we stayed there last year. Great location, nice pool, and overall a really nice hotel. Your teens would love it! ;)

If you want a moderate with a lot to do I would probably choose either CSR, great pool, more variety of food, or Port Orleans Riverside for the activity in the area, as well as the boat ride to Pleasure Island and the Marketplace. (that is of course if you want them in that area) The Boardwalk area hotels are my favorite if you can get them for your time and for what you want to spend. Another idea would be an OKW studio for the boat ride and the activities they offer. I wish my parents were this generous when I was 18.
Enjoy your trip.

Here's yet another vote for one of the Epcot resorts. We are partial to the YC, but any of them will do for your girls, because the location just can't be beat!

A short walk to Epcot, MGM or the Boardwalk. All Miniature Golf is closeby, and there is plenty to do at the Boardwalk including renting those surrey bikes.

Good luck with your decision. I have 2 teen DD's (19 & 16) myself!!!

Having just returned from WDW with a 19 yr old DS, my vote would be the all stars for them. There are tons of teenagers hanging out there. Plus if they are like mine they don't wake up until the late afternoon and then stay out late. They can take the bus anywhere from there. Teens are just into hanging out.

I feel for you, my 20 year old decided not to vacation with us this year because of the girlfriend. Then doesn't he break up with her 3 weeks before we leave for our cruise. To late to change plans.

Good luck,

Nancy
