Hi. I'm TxTxYeHA, and I'm Obsessive/Compulsive regarding planning our May trip to WDW.
My vice of choice is MS Outlook which syncs up with my Treo 650. I have almost 150 items on my calendar and about 75 items on my task list. First I have to say that the managing the list of tasks on the personal digital assistant (PDA) has never been easy - couldn't do it effectively on my Blackberry and the same holds true for my Treo. Therefore the tasks tend to be done in a range of dates (e.g., the week before our departure purchase park tickets), and I manage those via the PC.
My calendar appointments are more day/time specific and vary from flight information to ride suggestions to shopping lists. For example, each bag we are packing has its own 30-minute "appointment", and in the notes section I list everything going into that bag. Another example is the ride suggestions appointment. I made this an all-day event, therefore it is a header on that particular day. So on Friday (our first day) I have a list of rides we should avoid b/c of our 4 YO (e.g., Enchanted Tiki Birds has a simulated thunderstorm that not be well received).
The ultimate goal is to be able to use the Treo for all information such as maps and touring plans. MarlynNP posted this address to get park guides and restaurant menues: http://allearsnet.com/din/palmshop.htm I am anxious to check that out. Curious to know how/if anyone has incorporated touring plans on their PDA.
Thank you for allowing me to speak - I feel much better now.
