Thanks for the b-day wishes. Not doing anything today, I'm afraid, except maybe catching a flick & getting take-out by myself. But the well wishes are much appreciated.
Nicole: WTG in reading your goal weight! That's fabulous news! As is the REI stroller--I, too, am a member. You're going to really make an impressive sight out there running with BOB. People will be checking the two of you out.
Richard: Woo hoo for your 10K PR by over 8 minutes. Fabulous! Glad to see you avoided all the controversy with the wrong course directions. (Seriously, though, I would be steamed if I were an elite.)
Jackie: I believe our respective chunks will learn to run from us. Or us from them. Whatever.
How is your calf doing today? You're still going to the therapist tomorrow regardless, right?
Christine: Oooh, a Bunny Hop sounds like fun. But I really understand the desire to kick back and have a relaxing day. And you DID do strength & conditioning--so you weren't a slug at all!
John: As a person who does have the stereotypical MIL, let me just say how happy I am you do not. I hope you're having a fabulous time with the family!
Jen: Awww, I have to say that I think it sounds cute that Laurel wants to be held all the time. (Can you tell I'm not a mom?) I'm so glad to hear the training-voice happy tone in your posts!
Allie: Hi,girl! Miss you!
AFM: Not much today. Still trying to crawl back into a healthy place, where simple WOs don't exhaust me. But I'm having a better April, so far. Of course, Easter chocolate makes everything better--luckily, I'm hoarding. (Just kidding, I'm going back on that diet tomorrow!)

I hate when it gets like this, but at the same time I am enjoying working on these shows. I decided that I'll be doing the Get in Gear 10K on the 24th rather than the half marathon. Cheaper and sounds like more fun. Next Saturday, I've got a 5K scheduled and will hopefully see Nicole there and with any luck at all, get my legitimately timed sub-30 5K. If I don't let the training slip too much more, anyhow.

I ended up seeing The Art of the Steal, a good documentary about public funding an art. It wasn't Clash of the Titans, but...
for your super-secret kick-booty training for the Wine & Dine. It sounds like the relay will have quite a few surprises! Shhhhhh, we'll keep the secret. And you've got some stamina with the other distance events you're doing weddings! I couldn't sustain interest in my own wedding, let alone someone else's.
.
You are going to do us proud!
By the way for anyone who cares (that may just be me). Castle has been picked up for a 3rd season
It seems like only yesterday that so many of us were getting ready to turn 40. Where has the time gone? Congrats on your new niece too. How have the work outs been going? I've gotten better this week.

It's been way too long, and I'm like a starving woman. Wait. That could be my diet. Anyway, I'm adding to my list, so Maria let me know about Heat Wave. I'm looking for something really light, bedtime or elliptical reading.
You do indeed sound ready for your Ironman!

and got a solid 7.5 miles before the sun went down. What a gorgeous evening for a run. I have the Challege Obesity 5K on Saturday morning - hoping to break 27, but it will depend on a lot of factors coming together, of course.
