I'm first awake here! Very strange... My kids have always been up at 7 no matter what kind of kids. Baylie started sleeping until7:30-7:45 last semester and that was fine. But now (since Christmas) my little buddy started sleeping until 8 or even 9! :scared1: I thought maybe he was getting sick at first. Today Camryn's still sleeping! She's the only one I could count on to be up at 7 everyday.

She's up! :lovestruc

So, we don't have anything super exciting going on here, thank goodness! When everyone gets up, we're going for breakfast, then a movie later today. :thumbsup2 I'm sure I'll be working on school plans a lot in my pretty new room. :cloud9:

About the 2010 trip, is anyone absolutely against taking their children out of school?

I'm never against taking Michael out of school to go on vacation. In fact, I prefer it:thumbsup2

Kristel - those are some great pictures...LOL at the billboard and :confused3 with the biblical sights...wow - they look HUGE!! Way to get the message out I guess.

And man, oh man, you got a Wii too?!?! That's it. I must be the only person without one.

Well, I can't have that, now can I? It's just wrong:sad2:

Happy birthday, David!!! :wizard:

I think I finally got the picture of my cute new phone cover to work. Photobucket's acting funny. :confused3 It was hard to find one that matched lime green. Everywhere I look at dance there's a dance team girl with the same phone as me. They must like the color too. It's one of the team colors.

Good Morning All !!
No I am not opposed to DD taking the kids out for a Disney vacation. #1 it is less crowded and #2 often cheaper . The schools close her for 2 weeks at Easter so the Teachers can go down South :thumbsup2 so they hadn't better complain about a Disney Vacation after all Epcot is very EDUCATIONAL !!:rotfl2: We are going as a family in Sept!! That should be before thay get to deep into the school year !! Last time we all went DGD's teacher gave her FP to use so I know she was cool withit !!:cool1:
Got called into work last night for a while Med keys were locked up and I have a key !!!:goodvibes Woken up this am again!!Nothing serious though !! So I hopped on the Dis:thumbsup2

Regarding FB I don't seem to have any luck !! I registered but I have verizon internet and it seems to not accpt it Anyone any ideas ????:confused3

I likely wouldn't be willing, only because I'm anticipating taking him out for a trip to Europe already. But I'm just down the road, so I can usually work it out to visit for just a day or two if that's all I can manage!

We had a great time in NC.
Yay - it looks beautiful!
I got a surprise Christmas gift from Doug when we got back home. A Wii!
Ah, we have another addict! :rotfl:

I saw some talk about budgeting, so I'll chime in...

I do a monthly budget and forecast up to 6 months out. 95% of my expenditures are the same each month (mortgage, car loan, childcare, phone, maintenance fee, etc.) so I plug those in, along with estimates for groceries/gas/extras, plus deposits from paychecks and child support. I have money taken out of my paychecks that's put straight into a savings account and that's my combination fun and emergency account. I rarely carry cash - most everything goes on a Disney Visa, which I pay off each month, and I use the points to pay for APs and/or food at WDW.

It all works pretty well. Sometimes I go over my estimated budget, sometimes I come in under so it's mostly a wash.

I have a proposition...

With quite a few of us dedicated to exercising more/losing weight/staying healthy/etc. this year, would anyone be interested in our own support thread in teh WISH section? Over my years on the DIS I've found that it gets frustrating when the talk on a non-WISH thread gets bogged down in diet/exercise talk. Likewise, when the talk turns to non-diet/exercise on a WISH thread it can be frustrating. So we could maybe separate the two and keep TFW for our usual fun, but have a WISH thread in which to support and encourage one another. Who better than our favorite DISers to cheer us on?!

Anyone interested?

I have some pretty exciting news. Last summer, Steve & Emilie (my friend who passed) had their BOB stroller taken from their yard. I have been working with a local upscale baby store and BOB strollers to have it replaced.

IT CAME THROUGH!!!

This is such an awesome thing. Their strollers are in the range of $4-600. I don't know which one they are giving the family, but any would have made Emilie so happy.

Sadly, it is bitter sweet... Emilie passed before it came through. I bet she knows though.

That's great news Jen!

The girls got another Sing Star ---it has oldies like Papa Don't Preach.... they are amazed that I know the words...

OLDIES:eek: :sad2:

BTW--I am loving my new car! When I get in, it syncs with my cellphone and has all my contacts so I can voice navigate it! The funny thing though was that the computer couldn't understand me! She said "perhaps we should get to know each other better" :confused3
and then she made me repeat 25 phrases.

And I don't think I talk funny at all. :confused3

You better make her buy you a drink first;) :lmao:

Did you get one of them yankee cars? :rotfl:

:lmao:

Shall we plan another big focker trip for 2010?

ALsready in the works I believe. The plan was late August again...becasue of Jo:rolleyes:

Here are a few pics of the before and after of the school room. :goodvibes

Looks great Dawn!

Katt-How do you only spend $140-160 on groceries every month?! Share, please? popcorn::

She hunts her own meat:confused3 ;) :lmao:

Good Morning Fockers!

Morning V

Morning all. Just got off of FB and am going to head out to the store. Nana is making a meatloaf for dinner and wants some stuff to make it. This is the last weekend before the madness of real life hits us again. I think I will spend some time with the kids going out and doing something today. Talk to all of you later tonight.

I have a request to you but I am not under Margie as that is my middle name and I used my first name on FB. Yes I need to find one name and stick with it. I am very confusing
It is confusing. When we met that time, I was so confused because you told me your name was Margie and then your voice mail had another name.

Too early for me to decide. I usually am for it, but considering trying to get a teaching job.

The kids were driving me crazy yesterday. ds is usually well behaved, but lately having a little attitude. I made them both take naps yesterday. Today I am going to clean up and litte and we have a babysitter coming. We're going to dinner tonight for our anniversary, which is actually tomorrow.

I'll talk to you all later.

Rosie - could it possibly be a filter that Verizon may have on? :confused3 I bet if you called them they could talk you through getting on it...

I caught that too Janet:headache:

I don't have one either LL:sad2:

Good! I'm not alone!

Oooh...a date night! Have fun :thumbsup2

JenJV- Are you feeling better? How's the family doing?
Everyday I feel more and more better. Still needing the steroid nebs. DS is doing pretty well. Thanks so much for asking. :)
About the 2010 trip, is anyone absolutely against taking their children out of school?
No... but I do try to aim around when we have a day or two off. We seriously have days off of school just about every month! It is crazy! Fall break, workshops, conferences... on and on. 2010 would mean my ds would either be in 2nd or 3rd depending on when. 2nd is no problem, but 3rd is the big year for testing. Major priority for our school.
Good Morning Fockers!
Ok so there is no way I am going to read 50+ pages.
Don't blame you one bit! Glad the trip was great. Those were some interesting field photo's. ;)

Another day of rest for me. DH says I can't come downstairs until he cleans... I'm scared! I am going to keep trying to do the laundry. It seems to be a great thing to do where I get to go back to bed and rest in between loads. :thumbsup2 We are getting a bug snow storm today. Never know if it is all hype, or if we really will get dumped on. I'll keep you posted.

Happy birthday Mr. T!

Shopping diet. Yeah right. It's US you're talking to Mo, not some complete strangers you met on the internet ya know!!

Hey I resemble that remark!

I so love Talbots!:lovestruc I get about 95% of my clothes there because I'm always the same size. And their sales are fabulous! :thumbsup2

Don't cancel. It's lovely. :goodvibes I should be around all week. :thumbsup2
Most of my clothes are from there too, love their semi annual sales, did you hear they are trying to sell J Jill stores to raise money.

Ok, I'll PM you so we can set something up.

T2 and I have tentative plans that week too.

Ok, that made me :rotfl2:
Dude, you hit the nail on the head! LY, Mo! ;)

LY too T

We just got something in the mail about doinf this from the mortgage company. Thinking of doing it!:thumbsup2

You save a ton of interest this way.

( I know I saw someone else say they are against this for prepaying interest, but in reality you are prepaying principle saving you interest over the life of the loan)

I'm sorry, what? No shopping at DTD?

Um, where did I say that;)
Shall we plan another big focker trip for 2010?

Yes, definately, the spring is bad for me, as I plan on the ABD trip to Italy, I can't wait for the 2010 trips to annouce so I can book it! I have to see Rome and Venice!!!!!

Here are a few pics of the before and after of the school room. :goodvibes

Looks great Dawn!

Uh ok...........I've made Friend requests.........and still have no friends.......I'm feeling a bit lonely............

I will head over there today and befriend you oh supreme leader!

About the 2010 trip, is anyone absolutely against taking their children out of school?
My kids don't go to school;)

And man, oh man, you got a Wii too?!?! That's it. I must be the only person without one.

Well, I can't have that, now can I? It's just wrong:sad2:
Nope, I don't have one and don't see getting one.

Uh ok...........I've made Friend requests.........and still have no friends.......I'm feeling a bit lonely............
You should have ask earlier.. Making requests when respectable people are in bed

But I looked at where it was born, and it said Louisville, KY---but you know how strange them Kentuckians can be! ;)

The problem with the car is that it was MADE IN LOUISVILLE:snooty: .. We have Made petitions to have that section of the state hacked off and given to Tennessee... EVEN THEY DON'T WANT IT :lmao:

Never mind, Dawn---just remembered what the L is for!
From the color of the room... I thought she became a "Louisville" Fan :rotfl2:

Ok--now I've went and done the Facebook thing----now what do I do with it??? And I have no friends.:sad1:

:rolleyes1

Katt-How do you only spend $140-160 on groceries every month?! Share, please? popcorn::

Thanks for the room compliments. I'm loving it too. I'll have to find out what the red is. It's Behr (like your puppy, TE :flower3: ) from Home Depot.

I'll die laughing if it really is Cardinal Red :rotfl2:

OK... Clarification.... on the $140-160.. that is more like and average per week.. then figure that into the

However... My meat comes from a local farm here now that I have a real freezer... that saves me huge.. Steaks some hamburger... bacon and sausage, and some chicken.
There are weeks I spend 90.00 at the store... others is 160.00.
I buy at Sam's and break up the bigger lots.. and that makes stuff cheaper.

Potato's I get several pounds from the same farm in the fall.. so that cuts down on potato purchases. If I had a house with land... Yes ma'am... vegatable garden ::yes::

I wish it was 160 a month... that was what is was WHEN I MARRIED SCOTT 22 years ago

did not mean to get the hearts a racing... I do use coupons... and rebate checks while shopping at Wal-Mart which has the cheapest prices on most items. Milk has to come from Sam's club.. nearly a dollar cheaper on the gallon.

I had one time I took in 25.00 in coupons... bill would have been 125.00 .:thumbsup2

Unless we move to where kids go back after Labor Day it does not work

And this year I am there in August... I was in 2007( but I did not know you guys then) and I had a couple of days where there were or should Be "Fockers" there... ( if you were doing it this year):headache:

I smell a conspiracy against me:mad:

Well you could move here; the house across the street is for sale, it's perfect for you, then you can put your children on "track 2" and we will have our choice of when to vacation throughout the school year. Sound perfect?

Funny story:

In 1982 when UNC and Louisville were both in the final four; we happened to be in New Orleans for a trip my dad won with Allstate. We were staying in the same hotel as the Louisville team (travel agent with Allstate should have been fired :snooty: ) Anyhow, one night we ended up being babysat with some other kids; one was the Louisville coach's daughter; I remember her being a turd.

My dad was able to get us tickets to the game and we were all decked out in beautiful blue. The elevator doors opened, we step in, and find ourselves surrounded by some really tall guys and a few men wearing business suits. One of the men in our party looked at their coach and said, "what is that on you jacket? A chicken?" :rotfl2: OMG! That was the funniest thing ever!!!
