Nice pictures Doxy! I'm glad you had a good time.

It seems the end of August works out best for everyone. BUT, it is so darn hot in August and hot makes me grumpy. :mad:

(Not that Sept is any different :rolleyes: )

You save a ton of interest this way.

( I know I saw someone else say they are against this for prepaying interest, but in reality you are prepaying principle saving you interest over the life of the loan)
THat was my thought too!

Um, where did I say that;)

Oh, ok...you had me worried there for a minute;)

Well you could move here; the house across the street is for sale, it's perfect for you, then you can put your children on "track 2" and we will have our choice of when to vacation throughout the school year. Sound perfect?

Hmmm, so they have any teacher opeings there!:idea:

Funny story:

In 1982 when UNC and Louisville were both in the final four; we happened to be in New Orleans for a trip my dad won with Allstate. We were staying in the same hotel as the Louisville team (travel agent with Allstate should have been fired :snooty: ) Anyhow, one night we ended up being babysat with some other kids; one was the Louisville coach's daughter; I remember her being a turd.

My dad was able to get us tickets to the game and we were all decked out in beautiful blue. The elevator doors opened, we step in, and find ourselves surrounded by some really tall guys and a few men wearing business suits. One of the men in our party looked at their coach and said, "what is that on you jacket? A chicken?" :rotfl2: OMG! That was the funniest thing ever!!!

:rotfl2:

Hey Guys.. I did say something about this.. and maybe I was MISUNDERSTOOD..

What I AM AGAINST... is "PAYING a Fee" to "ENROLL" in this program.
You do not have to "PAY "THE MORTGAGE COMPANY and ENROLL to do what Mo is doing.. that's a waste of your money. Just make the extra payments.. or pay twice a month on your own.

You see what I'm, saying... We make extra payments.. ON OUR OWN... and it comes off the principle.. helping us pay off the loan quicker.. AND SAVING INTEREST.

What bites us is the Property assessments going up so much.. ( when house values are dropping) so they can have more of my money :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

I'm sure I'll be working on school plans a lot in my pretty new room. :cloud9:

I love it! It's red! :cool1:

And man, oh man, you got a Wii too?!?! That's it. I must be the only person without one.

We're losers too. ;)

Another day of rest for me. DH says I can't come downstairs until he cleans...
Nice! :thumbsup2 Glad you're feeling better.

Happy birthday Mr. T!
:cheer2:

BUT, it is so darn hot in August and hot makes me grumpy. :mad:

Me too! ;)

Hi G-Luv. :banana:

Happy Anniversary Miz D. :yay:

So my parents just came over this morning. :rolleyes: Ever heard of calling first? I have no idea why that annoys me so much. We're not doing anything. Is is Tuesday yet? 17 days is too long to stay! :sad2:

Hmmm, so they have any teacher opeings there!:idea:

Tons of them!

1 I would need info on such said house
2.Sell my house

all brick, two car garage, one level, I'm sure 3BR 2bath, and best of all across the street from me!

3.Visiting the Tar-heel state is one thing:rolleyes1 I think it's againt my religion to actually move there :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ( JK... after all I married Dean Smith:headache: )

I have a pic of your DH above my computer? :rotfl2:

4. should I move there... My van would have a big target on it.. "kykatt" plate.. Guess I'd have to pack heat all the time:rotfl2:

No, we try to avoid VA plates in general! And I don't think we are too worried about KY this year. :snooty: ;)

oops .. I forgot something.. or somebody !!!!!

Hi G-Luv !!!!!

Hi Silent Jen; only 6 days left!

Sorry, not us. We can't make it then ever. :sad2:

Bummer!

Wow! Six pages.... really?? In one night??? And there was no drunken Spanish either!!

So, we had a great dinner last night. We had bacon-wrapped, crab stuffed shrimp for an appetizer (yummy!), a filet for my entree (melt in your mouth), yummy mashed potatoes and snow peas, and creme brulee for dessert (heavenly). They also brought out a special anniversary dessert -- flourless chocolate cake. It was yummy, but really rich. I let DH have most of it since I was getting the creme brulee.

All in all, it was a great night! I posted some pics on FB. Then, I went and ruined it by weighing myself before going to bed..... let's just say that I'm starting my diet today....

Let's see.... what to respond to....

V - we've already started a weightloss group on Yahoo. Dawn's in charge, so you can contact her for the info.

Janet - we pay on our mortgage every two weeks. We basically make one extra payment per year (26 half payments vs. 12 full payments). Not sure what difference that will make over the life of the loan, but every little bit helps.

About Fockerfest 2010.... I don't really mind taking my kids out of school, but my problem is that DH will be in medic school. He won't be able to take off for a trip. Our school starts in mid-August, so late August is out for us. We get a fall break in late October and various three day weekends. I'm not sure what DH's school schedule will be yet though.

A quick MIL update.... she is HOME from the hospital! The problem is that the doctor sent her home because he couldn't do anything for her. But she's still in pain and they can't figure out why. So, although it's good that she's home, she's not better. :sad2:

I'm off to get some cleaning done and to try to figure out my shopping list for my new lifestyle plan! Have a great Saturday, Fockers!

Oh, I almost forgot...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID!!!

and

GO COLTS!!!!!

Oh yeah...sure...so waiting a week and then going will make a huge difference in the temperature...Just sayin':rolleyes1

Hey Guys.. I did say something about this.. and maybe I was MISUNDERSTOOD..

What I AM AGAINST... is "PAYING a Fee" to "ENROLL" in this program.

OMG - I remember we refinanced our mortgage once and wanted to do the bi-monthly payments (like we were doing with the previous mortgage co) and they charged us $400 just to take the money outta my checking account twice a month!!:mad: I'd forgotten all about that.

I have CitiMortgage now and they didn't make us pay. Sirva didn't either. What a rip-off...

We're losers too. ;)

YAY - we're in good company then!:thumbsup2

No, we try to avoid VA plates in general! And I don't think we are too worried about KY this year. :snooty: ;)

Oh I got ya now, yeah, I pay no extra fees, but am saving over 7 years on extra interest:thumbsup2

Paying fees for that payment option would not be worth it.

So my parents just came over this morning. :rolleyes: Ever heard of calling first? I have no idea why that annoys me so much. We're not doing anything. Is is Tuesday yet? 17 days is too long to stay! :sad2:
OMG, I would kill Murph if she just showed up!

Does she have another DR she can see for another opinion?

YAY - we're in good company then!:thumbsup2
The real cool kids don't have it:snooty:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OMG I can't stand how bored I am. I have cleaned the house, done the laundry. I'm thinking of ordering a movie or 2 from ON Demand. ANy recommendations?
Hmm, I could pack for my trip, by this point (36 days to go) I had already packed for Fockerfest...
I thought it would be so great to have this time off, like the saying goes be careful what you ask for:sad2:
As for budgets - the folks on the budget board have some good ideas, I lurk there, as it can be scary. However, I do question some of their ideas from an ethics standpoint, IYKWIM.
One tip I got there and is great for food shopping, plan your meals on what's on sale in the flyer. I used to plan my list on what I wanted to eat that week. Now I look to see what's on sale and base my meals on that. I am amazed on what that saves me. Also, for stuff I purchase regularly, when it's on sale I stock up. And of course coupons! Combine coupons with sales and you can really save a nice amount.
Sounds wonderful! :goodvibes
Is she supposed to go back to the doctor? :confused3
GO COLTS!!!!!
:cheer2::cheer2:
Wait. They came over without calling, and they are staying for 4 days?
That didn't make sense? :rolleyes1 They are staying with my sister and just came over here this morning for a while. All together they & my grandmother will be in town 17 days!
I put my mother on a plane this morning :woohoo: just a few days shy of a MONTH long visit (29 days to be exact. Not that I was counting:rolleyes:)
My mother keeps saying that my grandparents used to visit them for at least two weeks at a time. Of course they were much more capable back then. My grandmother should't be doing much for herself so I fix her breakfast, which she is very particular about. I had to buy juice glasses because that's where juice goes. Why can't she just use a glass and only put a little juice in it? :confused3 She eats next to nothing and no matter how much I in front of her, it's too much. Then I have to help her get in and out of the shower. I know she's 96 and I should be glad she's still around, but everything takes her so long and she gets sidetracked so easily. She can't hear even with hearing aids so she talks all the time, to me, herself, whomever. I'm used to being with myself all day and now I have a full time child to take care of who feels bad that she can't do all the things she used to so she tries anyway. Shame on me. I know. :rolleyes:
