I got it!!! Well, Kirt paid for it all and I loaded it in a basket. The kids didn't even know Kirt was in the electronics section right by them, hiding with the stuff I wanted him to buy!

I got extra nunchucks and Wii-motes so we'll have 4 each, a Disney Sing It game for the girls and me, a Chicken Little game, Wii play games and a quad charger. Thank goodness for the bonus Kirt got this week! We wouldn't be getting any of this if it weren't for that.

Now I need to organize the last stuff and wrap a few things. I just have piles of bags all over the upstairs!

Dr Seigle, ever the sadist, decided that he'd poke me with the needle again. The cyst had reformed and the pressure was back to 34. So, he did his needle thingy and then it was 10 again. He's Jewish, but I brought him Xmas cookies anyway. He said, I'll eat one every night!
So, I go back to see him on Dec. 31st but he did warn me that it could be for MORE needling. Blech. Glad I get a few days off!

I grabbed two books on the way home for the kids. I am glad someone brought up the equity question. I'm really struggling with this. My kids both asked for LARGE dollar items this year. Sd a guitar ($399) and Gus a new snowboard ($400). I told them that I'd give them each $150 towards the items. But, since that's a large chunk of what I spend on them for Xmas, they aren't getting anything under the tree...other than a book or two. That's really depressing me. It makes me feel like I need to go out and spend a bunch so they have stuff to OPEN. It's really a dilemma when they get older. All the relatives are giving them cash, so they don't have a SINGLE thing to open, except envelopes.

SO SAD.

But, what to do? I mean, they PREFER cash. So, that's what they get. right?

Ok, it's not snowing yet. I have to pick up SD in about 30 mins and then go to Gus' party at 3. I'll pop in tonight and let you know about dinner!

Do you "practice" Christmas? Meaning, do you see what everything will look like out? I'm doing that right now and it looks, well, rather pitiful. I know Frank Lloyd Wright's less is more crap, but I'm a more is more person. DS11's pile is soooooo small especially compared to DD. I know this is good that their stuff is getting smaller (although more $$) but it just doesn't look even, KWIM?

BUT, at least we have "stuff".

I don't lay it out, but I know what you mean. And we did skis for all of us from all of us, if you KWIM, so it's particularly small.

I'm back from Gingerbread day at second grade. DD7 was the teacher in their play and she did such a great job! She knew all of her lines and said them so clearly and loudly! I'm so proud. Then, we put together and decorated graham cracker gingerbread houses. Of course, the kids ate more of the candy and icing than got put on the houses, but that's to be expected, right? I walked in the door and DH walked out to go to work.

I'm so glad it worked out that you got to go!

Morning!!!! I just checked the school calendar and tomorrow is the last day!!! I thought I had Monday and Tuesday!!! I`ve got too much to do!!!!! I went to my tennis class, then out shopping, and the post office, so:

I Finally Mailed the Ornament!!!! Sorry, to the recipient, but I did mail it Priority, so hopefully Monday at the latest. I do apologize for being late with it.

I also finished up for Buzz's teacher. I am getting lots of response to an e-mail I sent about Woody's teacher group gift, so that's good. The party is progressing very nicely, too!

I am nowhere close to done with my dad, but they aren't coming until the 28th or so, so I'm not in a total panic yet. I still need a couple of things for my mom, but she's easy to buy for.

So, I'm feeling pretty good!

D should be home by dinner tonight. The snow is coming tomorrow, though - go figure. They've rescheduled the school concert to Monday (it was supposed to be this last Tuesday, snow date yesterday) and so that's fun.

I need stocking stuffers, and gifts for the girls of the friends we have Christmas dinner with, but other than that and finishing my folks, I'm done, and that's not too bad, for me!

Party was fun, it was actually breakfast so that was good! I won a $10 Wally World Gift Card playing Christmas Bingo!!!!

Then I ran to KMart and spent $45. I got Jimmy boots, new sneakers, new hat and gloves, some gloves for the snow, and a pair of slipper socks!

The rest of the afternoon should be a waste!
