Good morning everyone! :goodvibes

Jodi- I'm sorry to hear of all the trials in your life at the moment.  Try to have fun at your DD7's program today.

Mel- Good luck at the appointment with the doctor. I hope the snow and ice give you, and everyone else up north, a break.

Jo- All I can do is agree with Mel. "Hormones are a *****."

CE- I'm glad to hear things are going well enough for your kids' school to open for business today. :teacher:

Dawn- I hope you find your Wii.
------------------------
All the kids are on the school bus on their way to school. :woohoo: I'm popping in briefly before I head into the office.

Jenny and I had a wonderful night out for our anniversary. We had a quiet dinner at Fires of Brazil. It's a Brazilian steak house where the severs wandering around with skewers of different meats that they carve at your table. We had a table right next to the fire pit at the center of the restaurant, so we had some nice atmosphere. :cloud9: We did have some Disney conversation centering on our contemplated DVC purchase and just how much of a commitment that is, but most of it was just enjoying each others company and catching up on things little and big.

After dinner we adjourned to Barnes & Noble, one of our favorite haunts for browsing and sipping coffee drinks. Predictably, I hit the Disney section and browsed the Passporter's Guide for 2009 which I had not seen before. :rolleyes1 Jenny did more of a wander browse last night. We made it home by around 9PM as our sitter has finals today.

We did almost have a problem with the sitter earlier in the evening. The arrangements that I made with her and her dad last week never made it to her mom. So, she ended up having to go somewhere else until around 8ish. Her dad thankfully stepped in and subbed for her until she finished her conflicting commitment with her mom.

TTFN!

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, I know though that I really wish her period would hurry up and arrive :rotfl2: Oh and at least I got a kiss at the end of the note :rotfl2:
A kiss or a curse?:confused3

You've got to save that note. And OMG poor Jess. I just can't believe her mum likes to see her in pain. :rotfl2:
I'm going to see Dr. Seigle in an hour. This better be a much better visit than last week.
They are predicting 6-10 inches of snow tonight, which normally I'd be thrilled about as it might mean a snow day. HOWEVER, tonight is my Bday dinner redo... Hope it starts AFTER my dinner!

I hope you guys have a good day today. I'll check in after Dr Seigle's....

MEL:goodvibes
Hope things go well at the appt.
I also hope the snow starts after your dinner. No one here drives if it is snowing. We don't know how to handle it.

.

Jenny and I had a wonderful night out for our anniversary. We had a quiet dinner at Fires of Brazil.
Sounds like a nice evening! We ate there once and I told dh that I didn't think I could eat meat again for a week. We went for mother's day or father's day and they had some exotic meats along with the regular. Every time they brought us meat I had to ask what it was. There was a couple that they couldn't tell me.:confused3

Well, my day has continued to go downhill..... now it's the dog.

:grouphug:
jodi, i'm thinking of you .

Ya'll try not to chat too much tomorrow. I am volunteering at school and then taking ds to SC. I am dreading that drive. I wish I could dump off dd, too. Mr Diz won't go for it, though.
hi mary!

*******************************************
Well, since it is a school day :cool1: (never thought I'd be so happy about that) I need to head off to bed. D is on the phone right now, sounding a little happy.

I hope everyone has a good night's sleep! :grouphug:

hi ce!

Hey Kat, did you see they may be changing the actor for Jacob for New Moon movie??
They're saying it might be this guy
269937609_b828923164.jpg
i really need to go see twilight! btw, why are they changing actors??

I had a letter on my pillow when I went up stairs last night and no it wasn't from my "boyfriend" :rotfl2: Here it is.................

Dear Mum,

I have decided who you love more in this family out of Ellie and I as you never say anything that I make or do is fantastic. And you like watching me in pain. So Ellie is your favourite dream child.

Hope you take this into consideration.

Oh no, Jo! :rotfl: Poor Jess. Has she started at all or she's just got PMS before she starts? For us, once she started for the first time, things have been better. Less drama. Or, only drama once a week. :sad2:

I'm going to see Dr. Seigle in an hour. This better be a much better visit than last week. If he comes near me with that needle I'll scream!!!

Good MOrning all :wave2:

Today is the Office Christmas Party so I don't think there will be much work getting done:rolleyes1

I have to run out at lunch time to get Jimmy some boots. With the threatof snow for tomorrow we tried on his boots, and of course they don't fit:headache:

I will check back in later!

Morning! I'm happy to say that moods are improving around here. Leo was up early this mroning and SMILING!!! :goodvibes Now, if my toilet magically repairs itself, I'll think I'm experiencing a holiday miracle.

Many    to all.

/
Jo,

Be sure to hang on to that letter. I have one from DD about running away and one to the tooth fairy.

Morning lovelies!

My eyeball swelling has gone down. :teeth:

 to Jo. Yucky hormones.

 to Mr. T---what a wonderful time it seems like you had on your anniversary!

 to everyone else!

Have a wonderful day!

This is mainly for those with more than one child:

Do you "practice" Christmas? Meaning, do you see what everything will look like out? I'm doing that right now and it looks, well, rather pitiful. :sad2: I know Frank Lloyd Wright's less is more crap, but I'm a more is more person. DS11's pile is soooooo small especially compared to DD. I know this is good that their stuff is getting smaller (although more $$) but it just doesn't look even, KWIM?

BUT, at least we have "stuff". :yay:

]Good Morning Ladies... and Gents

Looks like our "Anniversary" will be JUST ANOTHER DAY on the Calendar...
:headache: We had planned to go to Great Wolf Lodge... BUT that went out the window. EVEN though the kids would be with us.. at least I was out of Roanoke.

Dinner.. :confused3 where ever it is.. it will be for 4 ...at least I convinced Scott to NOT help out at the "Train Store" on that day.

May do a Jeff Foxworthy dinner.. "McDonalds... and Supersize those fries for the Mrs., ..... it's our Anniversary"

See ya later

Oh... BTW... I have ALMOST finished decorating the CHRISTMAS TREES:headache: and it looks like it will stay ALMOST.
How many of you remember the Christmas Special with"The Family Circus" when they could not find Granddad's Start for the tree Top?
I CAN NOT FIND MY ANGEL:mad:

JO: Your unloved daughter....omg. Poor Jess. Hormones are a *****.
They sure are :rotfl2: How did the eye Dr go?

Poor Jess. Little sisters are pesky though. :rolleyes1
I know I have one too :rotfl2:

Jo- All I can do is agree with Mel. "Hormones are a *****."
They sure are and fantastic that all the kids are back at school :thumbsup2

A kiss or a curse?:confused3

You've got to save that note. And OMG poor Jess. I just can't believe her mum likes to see her in pain. :rotfl2:
I'm not sure I thought it was a kiss but you never know :rotfl2: And I so am keeping it!

jo, is she usually sensitive or just during her period?
She is quite sensitive and she only started last month so I'm not sure!

 Oh!  Hugs to you both!
Thanks and enjoy your quiet day

Oh no, Jo! :rotfl: Poor Jess. Has she started at all or she's just got PMS before she starts? For us, once she started for the first time, things have been better. Less drama. Or, only drama once a week. :sad2:
We're waiting for her second one to arrive :sad2:

Oh Jo:hug: Have you talked to her about it yet????
We had a hug this morning and I told her not to be so silly, whether she believed me is another matter! Have fun at your party :goodvibes

Jo,

Be sure to hang on to that letter. I have one from DD about running away and one to the tooth fairy.
I am definitely keeping it to taunt her when she's older :rotfl2:

 to Jo. Yucky hormones.
Thanks, so any more to tell us????

I know what you mean when the girls were little they got almost identical things, now they're bigger they get different things so I always make sure they have the same number of presies at similar value. Also I always get them something like a puzzle as it's big for their stocking :rotfl2:

BUT, at least we have "stuff". :yay:

Been practicing that for years... Boxes used to match up.. then as Joshua got older... and his stuff cost more.. box totals were harder.. but $$ is very close.
Trains we have actually boxed "cars" separately... to make his "pile Bigger"
This year.. it's a perfect fit. Sara's getting a Wii Joshua is getting another Locomotive.. and Lego Train.. there will be things boxed seperately.. but the box totals .. Sara May actually have 1 box more.. $$ wise... 15 dollars difference.

I'm back from Gingerbread day at second grade. DD7 was the teacher in their play and she did such a great job! She knew all of her lines and said them so clearly and loudly! I'm so proud. Then, we put together and decorated graham cracker gingerbread houses. Of course, the kids ate more of the candy and icing than got put on the houses, but that's to be expected, right? I walked in the door and DH walked out to go to work.

DD4 had a piece of bread for breakfast this morning and no puke so far, so that's good too. She's still got a touch of a fever, but she's definitely talking more and had been down off the sofa playing a bit this morning, so I think she's starting to feel better. I just hope she can go to school tomorrow for her party!

Nothing new with the MIL. They're still trying to figure out what type of metal she has in her head so that they can determine whether or not they can do an MRI. She had brain surgery 50 years ago and they can't figure out what kind of metal clips are left in her head. :sad2:

As DH left for work a few minutes ago, he said, "we've had enough drama for one week. No more is allowed in the house!" I totally agree!

:car: Morning!!!! I just checked the school calendar and tomorrow is the last day!!! :headache: I thought I had Monday and Tuesday!!! I`ve got too much to do!!!!! I`m in panic mode now!!!!! and my sister is coming tomorrow morning for the weekend!! and we are getting a storm tomorrow, . I`m off to get lots of stuff done!!!:scared: wish me luck!!

Oh dear. Maddie's already started with this drama. I'll find her in a ball crying saying I love Evan more. Honestly I've had to step back and really watch what I say and do. Evan is my baby - and since I can't have anymore, I really milk keeping him a baby for as long as possible. I know, bad mom. :guilty: But, I've explained to her that she's my big girl and that I love doing things with her (Brownies, shopping, etc.) but she wants to be the baby sometimes, too. I'm more aware of it now, so I try to cuddle with her more and have "girl talk" more. Some girls just need that extra reminder that you love them both the same. :goodvibes Having daughters is just not easy.
I'm going to see Dr. Seigle in an hour.
Good luck, Mel! :goodvibes

Now do you go by $$ spent or by per gift? This year is difficult. We bought a Wii as a family gift, but took that into consideration when setting the dollar limit on individual gifts.

We had our Brownie Investiture last night. It was really sweet and my little Brownies did wonderfully! Lots of parent support, so that was nice.

Evan's too sick to go to school, so he's home with me today. I've got Maddie's classroom party this afternoon and then I'm free until tomorrow evening when we have Girl Scout Christmas Caroling. I'm on the home stretch ladies!!! Woo Hoooooty!!
