I feel like a horrible MOMMY

Scott went and bought a new Betta and new green plants for the tank...whilst I cleaned, scrubbed and sanitized the Tank and contents.

I got the tank cleaned and set up Scott came home with "Turbo"
and we got him in the tank just before Sara came home.

She came in noticed how clean the tank was and the new Greenery and Thankfully has not said anything about "Turbo".

She said .. "well he still looks a little bad.. he does not have all his color back but he is looking better..Maybe the clean tank will fix him up"
She fed him some "blood worms" and Turbo actually ate.

I want to tell her the truth... but Scott wants to remain on the DL...unless she actually says something. At least she is not crying her eyes out.
I gotta admit he does look A LOT like Turbo

No, I just heard it yesterday. Although if I feel bad enough, I might.

I think I'll let you be a guinea pig on that one and let us know how it works out.

Kirt was just called to a meeting at the main office in Austin. He was told not to tell his higher ups what he's going for. That can't be good.

I'm not worried about his job so much as a restructuring that has him computing 1.5 hours each way 3x a week. but, if that's what he has to do to keep his job, then that's what we'll do.

When I hear more details, I'll feel better.

We have a DEAD "Turbo"( Sara's Fish")

I guess I have a fun afternoon in front of me... She get's home in less than two hours... at least I found him and not Sara.
He had not been looking good and yesterday he did not eat...
I told her he might not live...
Scott wants to play the try and fool her game....

Oh no! for Turbo, SB and you. I think I could pull the ole bait and switch on my tow but as they get older I don't think it will work,

Two interesting nights on the road in Ohio ..... first night no power from 10:30PM until 5AM. Last night the power went out in the Cracker Barrel and their computerized cash registers took at least 15 minutes to reboot.

Here's hoping for a normal night tonight.

No, not old just healthy. I avoid my dad's cigar room at all cost...especially in the winter time when he has the door shut and the heat going. YUCK!!!

Well, the doctor ended up calling me from her home today--she was off with her kids today.....and she sent us to get a CT scan........it showed the same intestinal obstruction but that it has moved quite a bit. No other "abnormalities" which is really good. So, she's taking more Miralax, and hopefully things will work on through......really soon.........

I'm glad you got some news. Here's hoping she's better soon.

Kirt was just called to a meeting at the main office in Austin. He was told not to tell his higher ups what he's going for. That can't be good.

It doesn't sound like he's losing his job, so that's good.
Mr Diz has an hour drive to work every day, sometimes longer depending on traffic. Someone told him a month ago that the VP doesn't like him and that he is likely out the door on the next layoff, which is supposed to be end of March. They've had 3 layoffs since October. He is the last manager in his group and says if he doesn't get laid off at the end of March (coincidentally, his big project ends in March) he will likely be demoted (hopefully not a pay cut). On the other hand, he thinks the person who said the VP doesn't like him doesn't know what he's talking about because the VP invited him to a meeting that only the higher level managers go to and told him not to tell anyone that he is not on their same level if anyone asks. The VP does yell at Mr Diz a lot, but he yells at everyone a lot and says some very inappropriate things that I can't believe a VP would say - or rather SHOULD say. He is also extremely arrogant. ( He's English. You know how the English are. )

He phoned it's got septus (sp?) whatever that is and needs a whole new hard drive I should get it back tomorrow!

That's not good news! I need to backup everything on my computer. I would hate to lose these photos I have on here.

Well I have another school meeting tonight, this time for Ells, she's going on a 5 day school trip at the end of March to Norfolk, now to most kids that would be fantastic but that's where David's family live and mine are close by so she goes there all the time She'll still have loads of fun though!

She will have fun. It's different when you are with your friends versus family.

And where on EARTH has Mr T been?

I think he has been busy with work. I sent him a message on FB and he replied that he has a couple projects going on. He is also doing some things with his son's cub scouts group. The group is going to Charleston this weekend.

So I fell asleep in one of my many naps because of this whole stupid sickness thing. It's really thrown my sleep off and I think my fever made another visit because I had chills again after I had finished blow drying my hair and was achy.

Fish Story.......it was a Betta........don't remember name......


When we lived in TX, we had our neighbor watch Ab's beta fish whilst we went to VA.......after we returned, neighbor, Rachel, called me to meet her outside........and then was very upset when she let me know that the fish had "passed away".....she had kept the dead fish........we were both worried about how Ab would respond............
but when I told her about the fish, she said
"that's ok" and went out to play.

Anyway, K said they were just checking to see if K would be willing to do a commute so they can run off one license (his). It's not ideal, but it's not permanent. It would take a month or so to organize and pull off.

It's not a pay cut or a job loss, so that's good.

I'll try and check in before we leave tomorrow.

Well, she woke up vomiting this morning.......so I'm waiting on the doctor to open up..........and I'm "doctoring" on the internet---that's not making me feel any better as it says vomiting is not good. Plus she's stressed about missing school again--she's having a tough time with chemistry this year. She's getting a tutor to help her next week so maybe they can catch her up. I'm outta work again, but luckily I can catch up even on the weekends. (love my job for that)

We had lots of wind here and a tornado watch---but all my goats are accounted for this morning!

Eek, we have gotten so much rain the last two days and almost all the snow has melted, melted right into our basement! I woke up this morning and went into my study and the carpet was damp. Luckily it is not much water, and I am able to get it out easily with the dehumidifier.

Long day. We got up kinda late, which was nice. Then we went to Target and of course you can't leave that place for less than $60 and we spent $80. Mostly snacks and some other random stuff. Then we stopped for some $5 foot longs at Subway (all the sandwiches are $5 now) and then came home. We were going to do grocery shopping but KC offered to do it tomorrow while I work.

I actually left him a nice list of things to do, let's see how it goes. I go in at 9am, but thankfully it's the store near my house so I don't have to leave until 8:50am. More sleep for me.

So whats everyone doing for Valentine's Day? KC says he is going to take me somewhere, I dunno where. So I guess I have plans.

I'm off to do my nails while I wait for our heroes to arrive. I'm hungry.

Hi all!

Can't even claim to have been lurking. I've been slammed at the office. It feels like I've been going from fire to fire the last week or two. If we can actually collect on the time we've billed so far this month, I may actually make a dent in that DVC debt. I've been grabbing a few short FB breaks now and then, but haven't had the time to do much DISing. I'm hoping things calm down, but do not slow down, in the next week or so.

I popped in here briefly and saw my name, so I figured I'd post a "Howdy!" before I start seriously packing. As Mary mentioned, DS6 and I are heading out to Charleston tomorrow with his cub scout pack. We've got Magnolia Plantation and a downtown walking tour/scavenger hunt on Saturday. On Sunday, we're touring the USS Yorktown, and we get to stay overnight on board. I'm guessing the accommodations will not be up to DCL standards, but it'll be fun in a much different way. I'm off to pack!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Assuming I'm not totally exhausted, I may get a chance to pop in after DS6 goes to sleep tomorrow or Saturday, as I plan on making this a work-free long weekend.

Well........I was out in the barnyard counting goats.........and glance over.........and Beth Ann's trampoline is overturned down into a giant gully.

I hollered for her and she ran out screaming "get it out!"

Daran's gonna try to drag it out with the tractor this weekend but it may be a goner.......it's her favorite toy.

I remember in Texas, we would wake up and find people's trampolines on other people's roofs.
