I turned on the news to see what they were saying about the weirdness of my state's senator backing out of the cabinet, but it's just full of this horrible plane crash. I hate plane crashes. :sad2: I totally trust that D's a great pilot and very careful, but... :guilty: And then these poor people...

CE, I don't know how you do it...I, for one, would be a wreck. But I'm a worrier by nature.

Well... thanks Z... I said it was an anniversary of Sorts... ;) at least Scott remembers it... how many of you or your guys can remember the date of their first kiss??

However he forgets the day we got engaged :rotfl2: and does not remember what he said to me

I know, but it's still an anniversary. ;) :goodvibes

I keep a journal/diary (yes, still) and I can always look back on my first kisses and read about them and how I felt. Some of them (what I wrote) are so cheesy. But once I read it it puts me right back to that moment.

CE:  I'm sure being a pilot's wife is as stressing as a military wife or police wife.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

The boyfriend went to the Bahamas yesterday on business, he should be back later today. :)

Some friends and I are planning on going to see Friday the 13th tonight. :3dglasses popcorn::

Thankfully I'm feeling a little better. Hopefully I get even better over the weekend because I don't want to be too sicky in the Motherland.

Morning :goodvibes And happy smooch anniversary Katt and CE.:cloud9:

Thanks. ;)

Early spring is just crazy at my house. Three kids, three sports, three different locations but overlapping times :headache: So I'm not here as much as I wish I could be....but I miss you all and hope everything is good.

I'll check back in a bit.

I think we all get there from time to time. We miss you, too!

CE, I don't know how you do it...I, for one, would be a wreck. But I'm a worrier by nature.

Frankly, if I worry, it's more about driving than flying. I hate when he drives to work at 4:00 in the morning (probably after not enough sleep) on icy roads to GET to the airport. :headache: Normally I'm fine, though. I tend not to be a worrier overall, which is good in this case. ;)

CE:  I'm sure being a pilot's wife is as stressing as a military wife or police wife.

Truthfully, not usually, but when this stuff comes up, I get a little freaked. Most of the time I don't even think of it - and I always feel bad for the military spouses and so forth who see them even less and are in much more dangerous situations...

Thankfully I'm feeling a little better. Hopefully I get even better over the weekend because I don't want to be too sicky in the Motherland.

I'm glad you're feeling a little better! :goodvibes

As Mary mentioned, DS6 and I are heading out to Charleston tomorrow with his cub scout pack.
Ooo, Charleston's my favorite US city! :thumbsup2 Have fun!

It snowed last night so golf is cancelled again :headache:
Wow - how long has it been now Jo?

Today is an "Anniversary" of Sorts for Scott and I .He kissed me for the first time 23 years ago today... 1 month later we were engaged... 9 months later.. we got married...
Aaaawwww, happy sort-of anniversary!

Mitch didn't propose. I found the ring.
:rotfl2: Sounds familiar... I was with my ex while he was painting a mural. He said, "I have something for you" and threw a little box to me. I opened it and saw the ring... but it wasn't the traditional diamond solitaire (pearl surrounded by diamonds), so I asked what it was for. He answered "What do you think it's for?" This went on and on until I finally figured out he thought he was proposing! :rotfl:

I turned on the news to see what they were saying about the weirdness of my state's senator backing out of the cabinet, but it's just full of this horrible plane crash. I hate plane crashes. :sad2: I totally trust that D's a great pilot and very careful, but... :guilty: And then these poor people...
 I'm paying close attention; I know a good many people who live in that area. :worried:

Hi Kate - miss you too!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Hi everyone - sorry, I only got a little way back. Hope everyone has a good Friday. I'm not superstitious, but it happens that a lot of pretty horrible things have gone down in my life in the days between my Bday and Friday the 13th's in Feb. (my dad died of a heart attack, my new car was totaled, my friend's DH passed away... and people wonder why I prefer to let my Bday pass by without fanfare?! ). Now a plane crash in a Buffalo suburb I'm VERY familiar with... ugh. :sad1:

Good morning everyone!
I'm heading out, but I wanted to say "hi" real quick-like!
Have a great weekend. I'll be back late Sunday night, so I'll check in bleary-eyed Monday morning with my coffee. :thumbsup2

Just kidding, I don't really follow hockey but had to support my "local" team.

:scared1: ;) . Jodi...Lessa is a Sen's fan :faint: Where is Jodi:confused3

J/K Lessa:goodvibes

Thanks for letting me vent I'm really crabby at the moment. I am going to go hide in a book for a while. Night all.

It'll work itself out! I kind of figured you be busy today since tomorrow is V-Day ::yes::

It snowed last night so golf is cancelled again :headache: And I'm so so so fed up and angry and I can't even speak about it

This just goes to show...be careful what you wish for Miss I want snow;)

It's gonna be a busy day. I do my regular volunteering this morning and then go back for the party in the afternoon. D has his annual review at work, so I probably have to back up our babysitter time. I had her coming kind of early so we'd have plenty of options, but he's not going to be back in time.

Have fun!

WTH:confused3

It's 7:23 and No Mel... :guilty:

Today is an "Anniversary" of Sorts for Scott and I .He kissed me for the first time 23 years ago today... 1 month later we were engaged... 9 months later.. we got married....

Happy Kissaversary!

Speaking of Friday the 13ths and engagements that when my ex and I got engaged. He had something special planned for Valentine's Day but he made the mistake of telling me he had a surprise for me. Well, I couldn't wait I wanted it then and there. He pulled out the ring and I was floored. I should have known our marriage was to be doomed from the beginning. :rotfl:

Morning Fockers! Sort of a busy day here for us. I have to drop DR off in about an hour for school and his Valentine's Party. I then have to head to Lindsey's class to volunteer in hers. Afterwards we have to head to Walmart real quick for a few things. My brother needs to borrow my van tonight because he's heading to a basketball game in Morgantown. His car needs breaks so he gets to use mine so the kids and I will be in for the night.

Hope y'all have a Happy Friday!:goodvibes

Oddly, today is a kiss anniversary for me, too. But not with D. :lmao: My first "real" kiss was on a Friday the 13th - 2/13/87. I was a freshman in high school and "going" with a guy - we kissed for the first time on Friday the 13th in the dark hallway whilst we were at a basketball game. ;) So, I've kind of always liked Friday the 13ths... ;) He's a friend on FB now, btw.
OOOOOOOHHHHHHH;) :rotfl2:

Well. Hmmmm. D remembers our first "date" pretty well, because it was indeed Valentine's Day. The fact that we'd been pretty much attached at the hip (and elsewhere :rolleyes1 )
 Say what ?? :rolleyes1

He proposed a mere 4 years and 5 days later, :rotfl: the day before my birthday when we went out to celebrate it. :) We did get married within 9 months, then, though.

4 years ?? :faint: What were you two.... or .....what was D waiting on??

:rotfl2: Sounds familiar... I was with my ex while he was painting a mural. He said, "I have something for you" and threw a little box to me. I opened it and saw the ring... but it wasn't the traditional diamond solitaire (pearl surrounded by diamonds), so I asked what it was for. He answered "What do you think it's for?" This went on and on until I finally figured out he thought he was proposing! :rotfl:

So both of you have artistic talent :) ... Interesting... SO when is Leo's first Galleria Opening?
Throwing the engagement ring... Sounds so romantic V;) And you threw this guy away....:confused3 :rolleyes1

Well on the engagement things with us... I am just as guilty as Scott... while I may know the DAY... I don't know what Scott said either... I had him tuned out.:rolleyes1 .. since he usually was rambling about nothing anyway...:rotfl:
when I finally came around... realized what had just happened... I asked him to repeat it... and he said "I can't... it was a ONCE in a lifetime thing"

I can see how you would be anxious with the plane crash news V.. it does seem like you do have somewhat of a bad streak of luck in those weeks doesn't it.

I hate suspence... We got a letter stating Sarabeth has won an award for her "Reflections" entries at County Level again this year... HOWEVER.. this time they did not tell us where she placed.. or if only one of her entries placed. Usually they say "you have won 1st place... will you be coming that evening to receive your award ??"
This year the letter states you have won an award "either 1st 2nd or 3rd. "
Well, that narrows it down.:headache: I'll know something on March 2.

And on Sarabeth's school BULLY" issues.. basically nothing is happeneing... in short Guidance ( who shared the letter with the no account horrible CRAPPY GROUCHY Principal) said that Ms Nicholas... ( the Principal:mad:  ) suggests that you make sure the teachers know what is going on... :headache: ... I THOUGHT THEY DID

That is unacceptable Katt!!!!   You must go to the school district next. Immediately. If they don't want want to do anything remind them that you have your local news station on spped dial! ::yes::

My SIL did this when my Nephew, who is diagnosed PPD was in school and the ditrict refused to pay for the bus to get him to the appropraite school. My SIL sat in the SUperintendent's Office with her cell ready to dial Channel 6. When she actually hit send, they miracuously provided bus service:thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary Katt and Scott :goodvibes

 You'll be golfing again soon Jo.
That's not what I was angry about :rotfl2:

Jo, do you watch Top Gear? Great show on BBC America. :thumbsup2 They say whilst too! It's about cars, but occasionally English celebrities compete to have the best time around a track. Jay Kay, :confused3, was very excited he beat Simon Cowell. :rotfl:
I love Top Gear, it's so funny, how up to date are your shows? Has Richard Hammond had his horrendous accident yet?

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry..
That's not why I was angry :rotfl:

I hate plane crashes. :sad2: I totally trust that D's a great pilot and very careful, but... :guilty: And then these poor people...
I thought of you when I saw that this morning

Some friends and I are planning on going to see Friday the 13th tonight. :3dglasses popcorn::
Sounds like a great plan :rotfl2:

Wow - how long has it been now Jo?
Well the first snow was on my Birthday so the 1st but this lot is now all gone, it's more the amount of rain we've had since early December!!!

I am OFF for 4 das !!!!!!!
Have fun!

This just goes to show...be careful what you wish for Miss I want snow;)
I know and that's not the reason I'm cross but I can't say about the real reason :rotfl:

Speaking of Friday the 13ths and engagements that when my ex and I got engaged. He had something special planned for Valentine's Day but he made the mistake of telling me he had a surprise for me. Well, I couldn't wait I wanted it then and there. He pulled out the ring and I was floored. I should have known our marriage was to be doomed from the beginning. :rotfl:
Probably :rotfl2:

Do you get days where you just don't want to do anything? There is so much decorating etc to be done but I couldn't be bothered!!! I'm also still waiting for my laptop, I know once that arrives I'll need to reinstall loads of stuff so that will keep me busy so I'm kinda in limbo :rotfl2: But I have got 5 10-11 year old girls here running around screaming so that's fun :rotfl:

Ya'll stay outta trouble and enjoy the next week. I'll check in when I can.

:hippie:, love, and harmony.

We'll miss you! Good luck with the doctor.

CE - that must be stressful to see

It's OK, it just makes you a little more aware, you know?

You, too. :)

 Say what ?? :rolleyes1

 :rotfl:

4 years ?? :faint: What were you two.... or .....what was D waiting on??

Honestly, I can't blame him too much. His father, though a lawyer, is also an alcoholic, so he was not good at keeping the family in good financial form. D waited until he was absolutely sure that he could support me and a family before even proposing, (even though at the time I'd been supporting myself quite nicely for a number of years,) because he didn't want to do to us what his dad did. Was he a little TOO cautious? Probably, but I get it.

Of course, I was starting to get really cranky about it about the week before, and he already had the plan. :lmao:
when I finally came around... realized what had just happened... I asked him to repeat it... and he said "I can't... it was a ONCE in a lifetime thing"

:rotfl2: Oh, no!

I get those days probably TOO often. Why do you have so many kids around?

I'll tell you one day, oooh being mysterious aren't I ;) :rotfl2: But it's just stuff IYKWIM

You know you're just making us more curious! :)popcorn::

because he didn't want to do to us what his dad did. Was he a little TOO cautious? Probably, but I get it.
But that's lovely :goodvibes

Why do you have so many kids around?
Her friends have been taking it in turns, this is our week :rotfl2:

You know you're just making us more curious! :)popcorn::
I know Miss nosey but I can't, it's nothing major, OK it is to me but not to others :rotfl2: Nothing regarding family, here etc so don't worry

I forgot to tell you the most interesting part of my morning, so far.

I went to the grocery to grab the waters for the school party (and maybe a little wine :rolleyes1 :rotfl: ) after I volunteered.

I came out, loaded up the car, and got almost all the way home (thankfully it's only about a 10 minute drive) and remembered that I needed to tell D that Dr. Belle is coming to visit next month (woohoo!) He would probably want to ask for some days off, and he'd need to do it today.

So, I reached for my phone, and my purse wasn't there! I stopped, checked the back where I put the groceries - nope. :sad2:

I drove back to the store and they had found it in the cart. Everything was still there, thank goodness.

I swear, sometimes if my head weren't attached... :headache:
