Hi all. Crazy busy at work today. Walked in the door at 9:00 and had a meeting at 9:30:eek: That meeting just got over and now I have a bunch of others things I have to do...you know the stuff I was planning on doing this morning until I called into a stupid meeting:rolleyes:

:hugs: to all that need them

Get Well wishes for those that need them.:flower3:

Hi to everyone who doesn't need any of the above :wave2: :goodvibes

Check back later!

I finally found a way to get Baby Girl to listen and do what I say.

All I have to do is say, "I think I'm going to have another baby. One that will listen to me."

She immediately says okay and does whatever.

Now I'm not recommending this as a parenting tip. It's a terrible thing that will probably cost her years of therapy. But if I don't do it, I'm going to need years of therapy.:rotfl2:

Bad parent - I know! I've only used it twice - just thought it was funny.
:rotfl2: Whatever works..

Busy day at work here. And busy week over the next week.

Tomorrow I'm going to Albuquerque for the weekend and because Jon has a doc's appt. on Monday.

We come back home on Monday and on Tuesday we turn around and we're going to Dallas with Tera and Kaia for a doc appt. for Kaia. We won't be back until Thursday.

That means I may fall way down on the Focker posting list. ;)

Hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, healthy day. :grouphug:
Have a great trip or two.

But the good news is that you won't be banned either. :lmao: LY/MI
:lmao:

Eek, we have gotten so much rain the last two days and almost all the snow has melted, melted right into our basement! I woke up this morning and went into my study and the carpet was damp. Luckily it is not much water, and I am able to get it out easily with the dehumidifier.
:scared1: Yikes, Lessa!!!

So I'm still mulling over that stupid 4/3 deal and so far it's just too much money to justify it. I mean yes it's a good deal, but really not in our budget :sad1: . Looks like I'm just gonna have to settle with 2-3 days as opposed to a week. I really hate that Disney charges for more than 1-2 guests . Oh and I've come to the conclusion that the Disney reservation people tend to lie. I called and asked for CSR and was told by one rep that she only had POR & CBR availibility at moderates. I called back a few minutes later and asked for CSR again and there was availibility. I mean I know people cancel all the time, but really?

Now I have to wait for the stupid website to come back up.
The website has been messed up since Monday. It's been very unreliable.

Yeah, we get to meet soon! Margaritas on Mel! :thumbsup2

Ok, don't flame me, but how illegal would it be to only put 1 person on a reservation? I mean really do you think the Disney reservation people would notice there's more than 1 person in the room? :rolleyes1
I didn't see anything. :rolleyes1

Margie- have a great trip. :woohoo:

Kirt was just called to a meeting at the main office in Austin. He was told not to tell his higher ups what he's going for. :headache: That can't be good. :sad2:

I'm not worried about his job so much as a restructuring that has him computing 1.5 hours each way 3x a week. but, if that's what he has to do to keep his job, then that's what we'll do. :confused3

When I hear more details, I'll feel better. :guilty:

I hope you get your laptop back soon, JO!
He phoned it's got septus (sp?) whatever that is and needs a whole new hard drive :scared: I should get it back tomorrow!

Well, she woke up vomiting this morning.......so I'm waiting on the doctor to open up..........
Oh no, hope the Dr helps

Yes, that's what I meant. We had to wait until high school (age 14) in my tiny school district, but whilst we all had to take algebra, English, biology, and civics the first year, then we could pick if we wanted Spanish (the only language we offered - really, really small school), home economics (budgeting, cooking, sewing, baby care) agriculture or metal shop... And then we could do band/chorus or have a study hour.

Around here they start languages much earlier and I think you can specialise starting at grade 7 (age 12) and they offer a LOT more things. :thumbsup2
She wants to do reisitant materials (wood, plastic and metal) and then history, music, art and German, her year are aged 12-13 but she's year 8 I thought we were the same as you guys???? Hev fun at tennis!

Tomorrow I'm meeting Mo for lunch at BD and I'll try to get some landscape pictures while I'm there.
Oooh have fun!

Just went out to drive Gus to school and I have TWO huge trees down (though they're hung up against OTHER trees, so they haven't hit the ground yet) next to my garage.

They're leaning precariously over the fence though! Dang it! I hate paying hundreds of dollars to have trees taken down!
Oh no, hope they don't fall!

Good to know, Jo. How do you show proof you have park tickets? With your KTTW? :confused3
Yep :thumbsup2

Then, we leave at 8:30 tomorrow for Dallas. :yay: It's not Disney, but I'm glad to get it out of the way. :)
Have fun :wave2:

I finally found a way to get Baby Girl to listen and do what I say.

All I have to do is say, "I think I'm going to have another baby. One that will listen to me."

She immediately says okay and does whatever.
OMG how funny and whatever works :thumbsup2

I hope it's not bad news

Well I have another school meeting tonight, this time for Ells, she's going on a 5 day school trip at the end of March to Norfolk, now to most kids that would be fantastic but that's where David's family live and mine are close by so she goes there all the time :rotfl2: She'll still have loads of fun though!

Another busy day for T. My oldest brother and his wife are coming over for lunch today, so I've got to get that together and then our kitchen TV took a digger (it's an old tube TV) so we're going to look at a new little flat screen to replace it.
Scott got me this cute tiny flat screen for my kitchen for Christmas... I think it cost 98.00( one of those Black Friday Sales)

:sad2: No he should not. I was actually talking to Jim about this when it was all going on. I don't know about NC, but here in Philly if there is that issue the teacher is supposed to make accomadtions for the child. Either to take the test in a different room and/or give them more time.

UNLESS it is a timed test.. Sara takes her time on her tests... many times going back to finish it later as she has test anxiety like I do.

OMG!! :yay: My Mom just called. they have looked over her blood work. and found no evidence of Leukemia. they tried differant tests. and Marrow is fine and the bloodwork is great! she has to go back every 6 months. the Dr has seen this before. but not that often.

her first words were, "well all of your Friends prayers must`ve worked" and she wanted to make sure I thanked you all for your thoughts and prayers.

So...

:yay: That is so great Carrie... I had a dream last week that there was going to be nothing... and a lady from choir told me Sunday... she felt like the reason the tests were taking so long was because what they first saw had dissappeared. :yay:

Dudes........
Part of my roof blew off!!! !

YIKES !!!! At least you are all O>K

the phone system is weird too because there is no actual hold button just tranfer, it'll take some getting used to.

Is it a "Com-dial" ?? or as we call then CRUM-DIAL.. because they are crappy... so are the Att phones and VOIP's are the worst.. break down a lot and are HIGH Maintenance. :headache: But cheap so they sell a LOT of them .. but they cost more in the long run

Well, she woke up vomiting this morning.......so I'm waiting on the doctor to open up..........and I'm "doctoring" on the internet---that's not making me feel any better as it says vomiting is not good. Plus she's stressed about missing school again--she's having a tough time with chemistry this year. She's getting a tutor to help her next week so maybe they can catch her up. I'm outta work again, but luckily I can catch up even on the weekends. (love my job for that)

Who's house blew away??
We had lots of wind here and a tornado watch---but all my goats are accounted for this morning!

Then where did this stray goat come from in my yard ?? :rotfl:
 for AB... this has dragged on WAYYYYY too long. I'm worried:guilty:

Kella Ripa says this works for sore throats although it seems strange. Fill a dirty, has to be dirty for some reason, sock with Kosher salt and sleep with it on your neck. Apparently it also works for ear aches. :thumbsup2

Uh....:scared: I'll Pass... or take my chances with WebMD:eek: Sounds a lot like the OLD remedies from the WAY ON BACK... Drinking Coal oil and Sugar for Whooping Cough, and wearing a Garlic, Onion, turpentine old sock around your neck for Measles.. I forget what they used "Bird Droppings" for :rotfl2:

Good Thought's coming your way

Back from "WAL-DEATH"... That took way too long.. but they have a ton of things on clearance.. so I HAD to look everywhere .

All these discussions of Vacations, and Multi-Focker meets.. have me:sad1: I was looking forward to seeing Angela AND JANET... maybe at the same time...
but alas.. Looks like I'll be missing Janet altogether.:guilty:

I'm juggling a host of technological problems. Can't login to the DVC site. MS Word keeps shutting down my computer. FB won't let me load a video. I just want to go home and read a book! :headache:

 I hope the day gets better, V.

They're leaning precariously over the fence though! Dang it! I hate paying hundreds of dollars to have trees taken down!

MEL

I'm so sorry!

Today my morning is nice and slow, but the rest of the day is cray-zee! I have a ladies' lunceon at the church with a good friend of mine, then a check up to talk about my hormones, and Baylie's dance classes. Luckily on Thursday I don't have to go in until I pick her up. Since they compete, though, they may not get out at 8. :sad2:

Then, we leave at 8:30 tomorrow for Dallas. :yay: It's not Disney, but I'm glad to get it out of the way. :) [/COLOR]

Busy lady! And I will save a quote and say that I hope Kirt's meeting turns out fine.

Good luck! Are you feeling any better?

Hope y'all have a good day!

You, too! Have fun baking and such!

Hi all. Crazy busy at work today. Walked in the door at 9:00 and had a meeting at 9:30

Well, we don't count kindergarten as a year - so we do kindergarten as 5-6, 1st grade is 6-7, etc. Am I counting wrong? But I know my dear friend who I shopped with yesterday has the older son who will be 12 at the end of March, and he's in 6th grade (and he wasn't kept back or anything...) But because of kindergarten it's technically his 7th year of school... Now I'm just confusing myself!

Tennis was fun, thanks! But I overthought every shot because of Tuesday. :headache:

Well I have another school meeting tonight, this time for Ells, she's going on a 5 day school trip at the end of March to Norfolk, now to most kids that would be fantastic but that's where David's family live and mine are close by so she goes there all the time :rotfl2: She'll still have loads of fun though!

She can show everyone around! :)

*****************************************************
Tennis was good, got my groceries except for I forgot the water bottles for the parties tomorrow (I was asked to bring them for Buzz's class, too.) So, I'll have to run out after volunteering, but that's fine.

It's 43, but cloudy and kind of rainy. I'll still take it - it's not snow or ice! :cool1:

I need to move some laundry and such, but I'll check back!

I absolutely would NOT pay extra. That's ridiculous. :goodvibes

Oh, sweetie. Good thoughts only!

Whew! I'm almost done cleaning the main floor. It smells nice and clean. I have a bad headache today. Not sure why. :confused3

 to all my girls. (And where on EARTH has Mr T been?)

MEL:banana:

Well, we don't count kindergarten as a year - so we do kindergarten as 5-6, 1st grade is 6-7, etc. Am I counting wrong?
Our kids start school at 4-5 which we call Reception then year 1 is 5-6 etc. They finish school at 18 when they're in year 13!

Jess is cooking again, we have beef stir fry and rice, she wants to cook every night, I'm being made redundant :rotfl2:

BREAKING NEWS.....

We have a DEAD "Turbo"( Sara's Fish")

I guess I have a fun afternoon in front of me... She get's home in less than two hours... at least I found him and not Sara.
He had not been looking good and yesterday he did not eat...
I told her he might not live...
Scott wants to play the try and fool her game....
I do not think this will work :sad2:

The bait and switch (for lack of a better term) NEVER works.

Have some wine. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Seriously, hope it gets better. :goodvibes

We finish at 18, too, but it's called grade 12 because Kindergarten (the first year) isn't numbered. Got it. :thumbsup2

Nah, you're retiring! :goodvibes She can come cook here if she wants. I think I'm making my baked penne tonight. But stir fry sounds yummo!

We have a DEAD "Turbo"( Sara's Fish")

Oh, that sucks. I'm so sorry.

Two interesting nights on the road in Ohio ..... first night no power from 10:30PM until 5AM. :scared1: Last night the power went out in the Cracker Barrel and their computerized cash registers took at least 15 minutes to reboot.

Here's hoping for a normal night tonight.

Dang. Where are YOU people?

Question and food for thought...

Have you ever walked into a room so thick with smoke from the wacky tobacky that it made your eyes burn?

Just happened to me. I almost gagged.

Does this mean I'm old?

Well, the doctor ended up calling me from her home today--she was off with her kids today.....and she sent us to get a CT scan........it showed the same intestinal obstruction but that it has moved quite a bit. No other "abnormalities" which is really good. So, she's taking more Miralax, and hopefully things will work on through......really soon.........

Z, I didn't put Alek and Erich on the room ressie in August. I refuse to pay $20-$40 extra a night because the 2 other people in the room happen to be adults and not kids.

As long as you aren't planning on buying the dining plan or going to any EMH I say do it. :thumbsup2

Have walked into a room thick with smoke, but hasn't made my eyes burn, just my throat.

No it doesn't mean your old. ;)

So I fell asleep in one of my many naps because of this whole stupid sickness thing. It's really thrown my sleep off and I think my fever made another visit because I had chills again after I had finished blow drying my hair and was achy. :guilty:

Ok off to check the Disney website....again....
