Do you have many holiday days left?

You mean vacation days? Plenty. I carried 13 over from last year and I get 25 this year:thumbsup2

On the golf course :goodvibes

I was right:woohoo:

Yep, am I that predictable :rotfl2:

Not at all:rolleyes1

I won at golf again today, we played skins at 10p a go and I won 10 of the 18 so ended up £1.20 up, I'll be able to afford a vacation soon at this rate :rotfl2: Thing is the winner buys the drinks so I spent £4.40 on them :rotfl2:

When you pay more than you won, it's not a good day..TFI:lmao:

Ooooh Janet you'll be pleased to know I got UP on DVD today, it's released tomorrow but as I pre-ordered it was delivered early :thumbsup2 Oh and it's Lost tonight too!!!!

Oh, wait....yippee:sad2:

so T, when exactly are you going in June, I um, sort of , looked at air fare and Jet Blue has some cheapish rates:rolleyes1 I already have the AP....

Well TGIF, I can't wait to get out of here, though I do have a drs appointment at 1:30. Going to see a dermatologists about these crazy rashes, I suspect Stress is the cause. I have always had great skin, even in HS, never thought I need a dermatologist:sad2:

They are predicting more snow early next week, I am DONE, though not nearly as bad as Janet:hug:

Have a good one Fockers

Sounds like a plan to me...not that I am enabling or anything:rolleyes1

Let us know how you make out:hug:

Thanks:hug: Pshaw...they areonly predicting 3- 6 inches for Monday, that's nothing;)

Have a good one Fockers

You too. Are you off on Monday?

You were cracking me up too. I think if you really wanted to make it romantic, then you would really have to go with just you and D. Why is Dr. Belle in the picture with this anyway? I know I missed something just coming back here. :upsidedow

Dr. Belle is a college professor. I've always done all her "published papers" editing, but she submitted one to a conference for which she gave me co-author credit because I helped write the survey. Anyway, it was accepted, and the conference is in Milan. :thumbsup2 So, it's totally HER trip - I'd just be tagging along to go to Milan. ;) I tagged along to one of her conferences in NYC back, what, 3 years ago?

I'm getting my hair done this morning. Definitely adding back highlights as it's way to dark for my taste. There's a wine store down from the salon so I thought I'd get a couple of bottles for Mitch for Valentine's. It's a neighborhood store, so they should be pretty helpful helping with picking something and maybe they will have some different wines. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see!

Lindsey actually has school today! :woohoo: She had a two hour delay but at least she's going.

That's great! :thumbsup2

Cub Scouts is cancelled for tonight. The church where it is held has cancelled all activities, so that means we are out:sad2:

Sorry you're stuck and bored. :hug:

I'm telling you, flight to Europe are insane!! :faint:

Yup. :sad2: I even priced flights just to London because you can get EasyJet flights for 80 Euros (I need Jo's cool keyboard... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:), but the flights to London aren't enough cheaper to even justify that.

It did drop about $300 from the last time I looked, though. :confused3

Andy's got the long weekend off (A rare occurance!), so we're heading to DLR tonight for dinner and some rides and fireworks. Tomorrow we'll just chill and do our GADGAD blankets.

Sounds like fun!

Ooooh they're my favourite especially the white ones :cloud9:

White chocolate is icky. ::yes:: :rotfl:

Congrats, I think. :rotfl:

We still only have "snow showers possible - 30%" on Tuesday. This is crazy, but I'm sorry - I'm happy! :rotfl2:

I have more to say, but I think I'm going to hit the smiley limit. Next post...

So, I went up after I logged off to change. Coming back downstairs, I guess I just missed the second-to-last stair, and landed on my feet, but hard. It really jarred my left foot, and actually did send me to my knees in pain. I figured it was momentary, so I went ahead and went to tennis, but it throbbed in the car all the way there.

Tara luckily had Advil with her, and I made it through both classes. I actually even played really well in the second class, but now the Advil is wearing off and it's aching again. The side of my foot hit the edge of the stair, and it's a little swollen. Sigh. Stupid CE trick. :rotfl2:

Then I stopped by the grocery and now I'm just here.

Oh, I had to call our well service guys. The weirdest thing happened last night. The water was fine all day yesterday, but when I went to fill a pot for noodles for dinner, it was all beige and cloudy. :scared: After I ran it for quite some time, it's totally cleared up, so basically they think something might have got sucked up by the pump and is now dispersed, but ew! :rotfl2: Totally fine today, thank goodness. :thumbsup2

For some dumb reason I can't quote !!!:confused3 Thanks for the welcome back Jo !! I should have known you were golfing !!!!:lmao:
It's gone silly on me too!!!

You mean vacation days? Plenty. I carried 13 over from last year and I get 25 this year:thumbsup2

Oh, wait....yippee:sad2:
Wow loads of days off and I knew you'd be excited :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Oh no, hope it gets better :hug:

T and Tracy I've started a trial of DVDFab and we have loaded on 2 DVD's so far so thanks :thumbsup2

Just a quick post I am back and had a great time with all my Dis friends !!!

Welcome Back!!! Can't wait to read all about the DISing adventures!

We've had a couple. They're not bad for a cheaper pick, but don't expect them to last terribly long.

Thats pretty much what i read, but we are a one room house with mostly bare floors.

Boring day here. I have to work and then the kids come home. Maybe I can talk Rob into going out to dinner.

I bought the kids a Lindt Lindor truffles heart box. Not too big but good chocolate. I remember as a kid getting boxes of candy and biting into many of them, then spitting them out. :headache: Yuck. At least with these, they know what they get.

i LOVE Lindt! Yum. We plan to go buy some candy on Monday, when it's half off LOL.

I've seen them on QVC. Check their website or Amazon for deals.

I have been a research maniac. I NEED to pull the trigger sometime today but I have so much trouble lol.

I am not a huge fan of Dirt Devil. WE have a bissell shark, that wasn't expensive and it picks up really well, especially the dog hair.

Now I'll have to try and research those! I am making myself nuts for nothing lol.

Wow, you are a brave soul! One sign of critters and I'd have been outta there! :eek:

if we had somewhere to go we'd have left by now, thats for sure. but we are trying to remember its just a few more days of this carp.

so T, when exactly are you going in June, I um, sort of , looked at air fare and Jet Blue has some cheapish rates:rolleyes1 I already have the AP....

Have a good one Fockers

When are you think of going? we'd be there around June 22 or 23 till probably the 27th. If we go.

Put some ice on that ankle lady! Oh and is it still a possibility to get together when i go down to that convention in Boston end of next month? I'll happily leave KC to the crazy conventioneers for an afternoon of chat and food.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello all. I am waiting on 2 people to come and buy stuff from us, a laptop and some old ipod speakers. I have things to do and waiting sucks, but its a potential $80 so we wait.
We need to go and buy some laundry bags and garbage bags for the laundry fest that is happening before the exterminators come. we have to wash and bag EVERY piece of clothing and linen in the house. we start tonight. KC is going to some hackers meeting thing this evening and then the laundry beings.
while he's gone I am going to make dinner (pork pot pie w leftover rib meet) and get the laundry altogether and separate clothes for us to wear for the next week so we can start washing everything else. I am not excited about this.
Anyone else having pop ups of dreams unlimited travel when they click on threads???
I have to pick a darn vacuum today too because we need it to vacuum after they exterminate, they said its a mandatory to do every other day. We have always just swept and mopped since its one room.
http://tinkykat.blogspot.com Check out my latest blog on selling online, people are too much sometimes.
OH and I updated my TR! FYI. Shameless plug!
Believe me, seeing you came to mind. I still don't like the Lindt white chocolate, but the dark is heavenly. :)
Send an e-mail or PM with dates and stuff, and we will see what we can do! :)
I'm just a grumpus today, I think. :rotfl: The boys came home and then the neighbor girl came over, so they're playing outside. I don't know what we're going to do for dinner - the usual "pizza and a movie" generally involves going to pick up the food, because our favorite place doesn't deliver to our house, but the boys are usually very reluctant to go when D's not here. I have NO desire to cook, so maybe I can talk them into the pizza place that delivers or something else.
Buzz really wants a movie, but Woody wants to watch the Olympics opening ceremonies, so that's going to be a negotiation, too. :rolleyes:
Know what? It's after 5:00. :teeth:
Know what? It's after 5:00. :teeth:
:rotfl: Enjoy!
I do have to say my hair looks sassy, but I don't feel too well, so we're staying in tonight. :rolleyes: I caved and the highlights are back, so I'll try to get a good picture tomorrow. I also got 5 inches cut off. So much for letting it grow. :rotfl2:
Thank you, I am. ;) Foreign languages are possibly in the works. :lmao:
I'm sure you're lovely. :) Picture? Hope you feel better. :hug:
CE your talk about missing the stairs has a familiar ring !!! I sorta did a nose dive at Fantasmic !!! Judy almost went off the road laughing at my account of the Fantasmic Torpedo!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
CE - Ouch on the ankle. Hope you are okay:hug:.
Angela - Can't wait to see the hair!:goodvibes
Kat - WIll check out the TR after jimmy is in bed:thumbsup2
++++++++++++
We wound up going to the library, McD's for dinner:sick:, and then to the Acme becasue we ran out of milk:rolleyes1
We were going to go see Alvin tomorrow, but Jimmy's friend Matt is coming over for a play date instead, so we will probably go Sunday. That's good though since I forgot Jim has a meeting for work tomorrow from 10:00 - 3:00, which he is getting paid for:woohoo:
Jim is reading Jimmy his stories now and then I ma going to head up and read my self once he is settled. I am reading the McKettrick Series by Linda Lael Miller for anyone that likes romances.
Have a good Friday night all/ I'll see you tomorrow:goodvibes
Please let me introduce you to my new vacuum, in KC orange.
vacuumi.jpg
It's the Bissell Powerforce Bagless Upright Vacuum, Orange Mango. After shipping it was $55. I am happy. Now let's hope it's good.
Please let me introduce you to my new vacuum, in KC orange.
Were you only allowed to buy it if it was orange? :rotfl2:
Well Lost was confusing as always but I'm so looking forward to actually being told what's going on, well I hope they tell us anyway :rotfl2:
Ellie has a stinking cold, bright red nose and everything poor thing so she didn't go to singing this morning. Hopefully it'll go soon as we're going to visit my Mum on Wednesday for my Nanny's 90th Birthday and because of her age I wouldn't want to go if one of us is ill, I don't want to be responsible for her not making it to her party :rotfl2:
Today is just a homework and tidy bedroom day, the girls are off for the next week and we won't be back from Mum's until Sunday so I'd really like to get homework out of the way if poss :thumbsup2
Oh and the DIS is still playing up, when I multi quote it won't allow me to highlight anything so I can delete it, it's so annoying, is it doing that to any of you?!?!?
Gotcha. I wonder with my Med. term courses and ICD-9 and CPT coding I could get in with minimal courses. My SIL is the flood super. at our Peds office and she's the one who told me to get into it. :thumbsup2
Andy's got the long weekend off (A rare occurance!), so we're heading to DLR tonight for dinner and some rides and fireworks. Tomorrow we'll just chill and do our GADGAD blankets.
Other than that, it's going to be a quiet day. Off to get the kids to school... BBL. :hippie:
I'm sure any medical you already have will help you. Also, working in a specialty in an office setting is the easiest way to go. I've worked in the ER and for a major company doing Ops, H&Ps, you name it, and it was extremely difficult, but rewarding. I am now with a urology practice and love it because after doing what I used to, this is a piece of cake. That, and I get to type about ED and men's hooha's all day. :rotfl2:
Ummm nothing :rotfl2:
Ooooh they're my favourite especially the white ones :cloud9:
Mean mom! :laughing:
Wow that took a long time to do, for some reason it wouldn't allow me to highlight and delete writing :mad::confused3
The first time I tried doing the multiquote it wasn't letting me highlight either, so I hit "back" and retried it, then it worked. :thumbsup2
so T, when exactly are you going in June, I um, sort of , looked at air fare and Jet Blue has some cheapish rates:rolleyes1 I already have the AP....
I remember Dr Belle! I didn't realize this was HER trip. :rotfl: You should plan a different one with just you and hubby.
OH and I updated my TR! FYI. Shameless plug
So sorry. Since I'm pretty much "new" again here, I have vowed to only start reading brand new TRs. :flower3:
5 inches? :scared1: Everytime I do a major cut, I regret it. :guilty:
We wound up going to the library, McD's for dinner:sick:,
Funny! We all got in the car and drove to Olive Garden - packed! Then drove over to Outback Steakhouse - packed! We wound up at McD's. :rotfl2:
Please let me introduce you to my new vacuum, in KC orange.
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! :banana:
They keeps saying all your questions will be answered, but so far, I have MORE questions! :lmao:
See my previous post to your multiquote question.
Today we're going over to my brother's home for his daughter, Emmy's third birthday. I already gave Emmy her present last month, as I bought matching outfits for her and Ayva (my brother's 1-year-old).
I have to make a chicken wing dip, which reminds me. I have to take the chicken out of the freezer. :eek:
Well I am gonna try again !!! Had a post almost complete when Computor shut down for Updates !!! Grrrrr!!
First I am not quoting or using smilies as the boards are still giving me a hard time !!!!
Jo hope Ellie's cold is better ( hug)
Kat love the new vacuum !!!
I have forgotten whose french ankle /foot is hurting but hope it's better ( hug)
Now for my morning !! Welll our litle stray female dog went into heat whle I was gone and the 2 male dogs lets just say were "dogs" LOL. Judy still had no luck finding her owners and as SPCA would put her tp sleep she called SAVE A Pet !!! The gal came this morning and she was a co worker from my second job which made me feel good as she is a very good hearted person !! Steph was in tears which made Judy cry !! But Bella will have a good home !!!
Next WORK I have 2 consumers in the hospital ,1 had abrain bleed and had emergency surgery, the other is waiting to be admitted so I have my hands full for next few days !!! ( Scary thingie )
