Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

I was very hesitant to tell anyone our choices beforehand.
She did preface it with "you cannot comment" when she said the name.

Good morning, so far anyway. The groundhog saw his shadow and now they are calling for snow tonight (not much about 2 inches) and snow on Friday in Saturday (alot).
At least you won't have to drive in it. Too bad Phil wasn't here as it's raining. Statten Island Chuck says spring will be here early. :confused3

I wonder when our pool guy will show up? He got here about 11 yesterday and left at 12.30 since it was raining then too. At least it's not summer and I'm not missing out on prime pool time. ;)

As you know we went very tradiional with Jimmy's name. It was a good thing the ultrasound was right when they told us boy. We could NOT agree on a girls name at all.

See, we had a huge list of girl's names (though narrowing them down might have been another story) and maybe 3-4 boy's names. We did agree on Woody right away. Well, not "Woody," but you know what I mean... :rotfl:

We thought about the grandfathers, but since there are 3... :confused3

OVER HERE!!! YOU HOO!! I'M OVER HERE!!

....why are these people staring at me??

.....maybe I just need to yell a little louder and she'll see me.....I wonder if she noticed the airplane spelled out HAPPY BIRTHDAY JO......

.....is that Jess??
....she's not making eye contact either......I'd better have her paged....you....give me that microphone...yes, I'm pretty sure it's an emergency.....
See you do funny much better than I do :rotfl2:

We finally got approval for the Avastin from the insurance. :woohoo: I am expecting the doctor's office to call tomorrow to get things rolling. If they don't call by noon. Doug will call them. Now let's all pray that this treatment works.
That's fantastic, fingers crossed it works

I would laugh if I knew WTH you two were talking about:confused:
Well TE said that she was looking for me at LHR which I eventually realised meant Heathrow airport so we were being silly, well unless she really is there and is still looking for me :rotfl2: Sorry about the phone call you would have thought they'd know you just can't add bits on!

Good newa Bree is OFF the repirator and doing better !!!
Wooohoooo and in case I don't see you have a fabulous trip

I think my new nephew will be named Ridley Holden. I like Ridley ok and that's the only name my sister's mentioned, but when she mentioned Holden, I like that much better. Of course I would never tell her any of this. :thumbsup2
Just my opinion but wouldn't Reid and Ridley be too similar?!?!?

As you know we went very tradiional with Jimmy's name. It was a good thing the ultrasound was right when they told us boy. We could NOT agree on a girls name at all.
No baby Janet's? :rotfl2:

I just played the worst golf ever :faint: honestly the beginner lady would have given me a run for my money :rotfl2: it was also cold and wet and of course I'm a year older than last time I played :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just my opinion but wouldn't Reid and Ridley be too similar?!?!?
To me Reid is such a strong name and while I like Ridley, it's just ok. Holden sounds stronger and yes, I like it with Reid better. But again, I'm keeping my mouth shut! :rotfl2:
I'm a year older than last time I played :rolleyes1 :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
:lmao: Technically we are middle age.

i just wanted to pop in and say hi!

Im in my animal behavior class right now and wanted to share somehting interesting with you. Did you know that alligators, and crocodiles dont have sex determining genes? no xx, or xy. instead it depends on the temperature of the mound that they are incubated in. they all have the same genes, but if its hotter they become male, and if the egg is cooler they are female. wierd right?

Hi Fockers,

I have a question, why is TE looking for Jo at the airport????;)

So, don't know if any of you remember when I got some rash on my arm last summer that ultimately got infected.

Well the rash is back, ON MY NECK.

OMG it itches like you wouldn't believe.

No fooling around this time so off to the DR yesterday.

I literally have a bag of medicines here with me. I have it fashionably covered up with a pashmina (well gauze and surgical tape first).

It's a little warm sitting here with the Pashmina wrapped around my neck all day, but better than looking like a tracheomety patient.

Ok I know I spelled that word wrong.

Since it is the 2nd time, my internist said to establish myself with a dermotologist so if it happens again I can immediately go and get a biopsy.

So next Friday at lunch I'm off to meet a dermotologist.

Well, that's what's happening in puggymom's world.

Hope all is well with all of you.

So, the taxes are done - WOOHOO! :dance3:

Anyway... That's been my afternoon.

See you do funny much better than I do :rotfl2:

:

...airport security did not seem to think so.... :lmao:

+++++++

Ridley? I've never heard of that name...but then again I thought my aunt was stupid for naming her child "emma" in 1986 after our 109 year old great grandmother.....but turns out it ended up in the top 10 names!

Abigail--it was fairly original in 1993 when she was born, but now every other 6 year old is named that!

Elizabeth--very traditional as we intended. But the Face book game said "Beth Ann" was original!?? I don't think so tho!

:lmao: Technically we are middle age.
Hey, talk for yourself :snooty::rotfl2:

It's the same in turtles, as Crush told us in turtle talk boys are cool and chicks are hot :rotfl2: (actually that's the opposite to crocs, how weird!)

I have a question, why is TE looking for Jo at the airport????;)
Because she came to visit for my Birthday and to give me a cake silly :rotfl2: I hope your rash clears up quick

Emma? Really? My sister is called Emma and wasn't there a famous Bronte book named Emma? :rotfl2:

Abigail--it was fairly original in 1993 when she was born, but now every other 6 year old is named that!
I loved the name Jessica for years, had never known anyone called Jessica but there are loads of them around her age. Names go in circles don't they!!!!

I'm not feeling very well :sad2: I've had a headache for hours, just taken some tablets, and I just ache :sad2: I'm going to go to bed before the girls tonight I think :rotfl:

Austen. You're really not British, are you? :rotfl2:

Feel better!

Hi...just a little clue as to how my day is going:

Phone Rings -

Caller - I wanna know who my boyfriends PO is.

Me - I need his name and PP# (Number we use to identify cases)/

Caller - I don't know his PP#, but his name is John Smith:rolleyes:

Me - Then I need his date of Birth.

Caller - I don't know that.

Me - I can'r look up information without his PP# or DOB.

Caller - This is ridiculous. How many people named John Smith can be on probation

:headache::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao:I just commented you back on FB!

Jo---there are a zillion Jessica's between the ages of 12-16 here! And Lauren, and Brittney!

I think I just associated the name Emma with our great grandmother---hard to get an image out of your head!

Ab named her minivan "Mildred" which I think is hysterical....all of her friends have older vehicles so they gave them all names...Carol.....Arlene....

someone please call the school board and let my kids go to school tomorrow!!!

can I drive?
no, it's snowing...
can I drive now?
no
can Hannah come get me?
no
Why not?
it's snowing
how do I get to the wellness center?
you don't
I'm bored...

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN A 4 YEAR OLD AND A 16 YEAR OLD ONE

i just wanted to pop in and say hi!
:wave2:

Hi Fockers,
 I hope your rash is better. That reminds me of some movie for some reason! :rotfl:

I can't wait to hear all about it. :goodvibes

So, the taxes are done - WOOHOO! :dance3:
Yes, we need to do that too. :rolleyes1

Ridley? I've never heard of that name
I've only heard of Ridley Scott the director, but my sister's not that into movies, so who knows where she heard of it?

Elizabeth--very traditional as we intended.
That was my grandmother's name and I always thought it would make a good baby name along with Catherine or Victoria. Unfortunately no one that's had a baby listens to me. :rotfl2: My godchild's grandmother is Virginia, a lovely name for her daughter, but they went with Kylee. I love my Kylee but not a supreme court judge name. Good thing I only have cats. :rotfl:

Hey, talk for yourself :snooty::rotfl2:
Except that you are not that much younger than I. :rolleyes1  :lmao:

It's my middle name, and one of my faves. Deb's DD5 is Katherine, which I love - she's Katie now, but... :thumbsup2 Woody has an Evelyn in his class, which you don't hear much anymore, but I like.

One of my great-grandmas was Sadie, which is becoming popular a bit again. :confused3 I kind of like it. Back a few years ago, I really liked Sophie/Sophia for my phantom girl baby, :rotfl: and thought it was different - turns out there are a LOT of 4 year old Sophies these days. Go figure. :rolleyes1

Very Early Good Morning All!

JANET had a ‘day from heck’ on Monday. Tuesday wasn’t much better.
John Smith……now that is funny. I would have told her for a better explanation find JS in the phone book. Oh my lord, even here in the sticks there are too many.

ROSIE says that baby Bree is doing better. She is leaving on Thursday morn for WDW!
Have a great trip!

CE is taking advantage of D this week………. with the kids and cooking.
You go girl!

ANGELA wants the new baby, Ridley, to be Holden.
I like that Holden too. Um, if you have more 30 deg. and rain weather, that pool won’t be ready for 2 months. :rotfl2:

JO did rubbish golf and is blaming it on her age and the weather.
Sorry you had a bad game. I’m sure you’ll make up for it next time.

Hi V! Are ya still a curmudgeon?;)

CEL BEL is sharing her knowledge of reptiles and their sex determination with us.

I’m married to a reptile nut. There are a lot of fascinating differences with that species.

MO has a rash. She is going to a dermatologist on next Friday. Meanwhile she looks like she belongs in one of the zombie movies with gauze on her neck.:rolleyes1

I hope they find out what is causing it.

KAT and KC’s anniversary is on Thursday. The big vow renewal is this weekend.
Happy Anniversary to you both! I hope your party and the weekend are fabulous!

TE’s kids are ‘driving’ her crazy!
:lmao:

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I was out yesterday from 9:30AM until 1PM. We picked up the title for the car. Then I went into the BMV while Doug stayed in the car. I was #44 to be helped and they were on #32. I figured I might as well wait. I didn’t want to have to come back. I don’t know how everyone else’s BMVs are but ours are always busy. I just prayed that there would not be a computer melt down which happens frequently.

I was out of the place by 11:15 with all the new registrations and stickers for the plates for the vehicles. They gave me a temp for the trailer. They are revamping those plates. We should get it in 30 days.

We then took my car to the car wash and had lunch at KFC. They are located next door to one another.

We went to pick up a scrip for Doug.

I was beat as I had no sleep again. On the way home his best friend calls and says he will be visiting around 3PM. CARP! Like I said the house was a wreck. So when we get home, I go into beotch-cleaning overdrive and basically tell Doug to stay out of my way. He proceeds to dump leftover KFC on the kitchen floor and track mud on my carpet in the dining room. I was not a happy camper. :sad2: I did hold it together though. I keep stopping myself and taking a lot of deep breaths.

Any way, the house is somewhat clean in the ‘public’ areas. That’s good for another week. Since I’m off for 4 nights starting on Friday, I’ll get the rest of the stuff caught up then. I want to get our taxes done too. Plus I need to get a 401K transferred to my new 401K.

And……..
Doug will start his treatment on the 11th. We have to be at the hospital at 7AM for the MRI. It will be an all day trip. I am planning to take off half a night on the 10th and all night on the 11th. I have my FMLA paperwork ready for signing.

Again, thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers!:thumbsup2

I doubt that Doug and I will be going to Ireland this summer. Maybe next summer. However, if things go well, I may add some days to our WDW trip in October.:goodvibes

I’m working the next 2 nights.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hugs to all of you!:grouphug:

Good morning!

D started the kids again this morning, but I did get up and help get them out the door this time. He's walking the dog now, though. ;)

It's snowing, but isn't supposed to accumulate much, and should melt off with some sun this afternoon. :thumbsup2:

I have a haircut at 10:00 (just a trim - I am still really missing the ability to ponytail for tennis, so I'm letting it grow), but that's about it. D has a meeting at work, so he's planning on working out and heading to the office from there. I may stop by Target or the Sears Essentials - my friend called Monday to say that they were not going to be carrying the Land's End brand there anymore and she got a $100 coat for something like $30. I don't know how much will be left - and I don't really know that I NEED anything :rotfl:, but I might as well go see what they have! :)

Have a great morning, everyone! :grouphug:

Is this all the Sears or just yours? Lands End has some nice things. :thumbsup2

Now that Mitch is home, I actually have to fix dinner, so I need to go to the store. He wants a squash casserole, as for some reason he wants to eat less meat, which is fine with me, so I thought I'd add a salad and bread. :thumbsup2 Easy peasy.

It's my understanding it's just the "Sears Essentials" stores, which used to be K-Marts around here. We have no K-Marts now, they all switched to "Sears Essentials". :confused3 I can't imagine Sears would drop it in their main stores. I love Land's End, so we'll see. :thumbsup2

Maybe he's listening to whatever D's been hearing on NPR - we are trying, too. Not to cut meat out entirely, but something like 3 less "meat meals" a week - whether it be lunch or dinner, poultry or red meat...
