Good morning all:goodvibes I swear I posted a reply last night, but it's not here:confused3

Anyway - Yes John Smith is not all that common a name:rolleyes1

Angela - If you guys are middle aged, that makes me ancient becasue I am older than you all!

CE- Sounds like you are getting the tail end of what we got over night. If it is, it's supposed be gone byy the end of day. ALthough we are supposed to get a foot Friday in Saturday:headache:

Kristel - :hug: Sorry your trip to Iteland is cancelled, but extra days at WDW should make up for it, at least a little bit. You need to get some rest too. You aren't going to be any good to Doug if you are exhausted:hug:

+++++++++++++++++++

So, today has to be better righ? Right? RIGHT? We woke up to less than a half of an inch of snow, so that was good. All the roads are cleared and it is really just on the grass areas and cars. Unfortunately we are supposed to get a foot or more Friday night into Saturday.:sad2: If we are going to get that at least lets get it during the week so the kids can get a day off.

I'm tired. Stayed up late watching the biggest loser and now I am paying for it. I'm ready for a nap;) Still crazy busy at work, but I will try and check in at lunch time!:thumbsup2

Have a good day everyone:grouphug:

You scared me, so I checked. Guess what? "The models show the storm in the mid-Atlantic states staying just far enough south that we shouldn't get much."

Go figure. I swear, nearly EVERYTHING has been south of us this year. And I'm not complaining at all. :rotfl:

We've only had one snow day so far, knock on wood. Just because we are scheduled to get out so late, I don't need anything added. ;)

Everything has changed.

Doug had 2 seizures this morning around 6:30AM. We have an MRI in an hour in Lafayette. He will start his treatments tomorrow at IU in Indy. I'll Tweet if anything crazy happens.

Austen. You're really not British, are you? :rotfl2:
Shhhhh I really live in San Diego and fake my accent :rotfl2:

Caller - This is ridiculous. How many people named John Smith can be on probation
OMG :rotfl2:

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN A 4 YEAR OLD AND A 16 YEAR OLD ONE
Great :rotfl2:

My godchild's grandmother is Virginia, a lovely name for her daughter, but they went with Kylee. I love my Kylee but not a supreme court judge name. Good thing I only have cats. :rotfl:
So true :rotfl2:

Back a few years ago, I really liked Sophie/Sophia for my phantom girl baby, :rotfl: and thought it was different - turns out there are a LOT of 4 year old Sophies these days. Go figure. :rolleyes1
I know loads of Sophie's aged between about 0 and 16!

I was beat as I had no sleep again. On the way home his best friend calls and says he will be visiting around 3PM. CARP! Like I said the house was a wreck. So when we get home, I go into beotch-cleaning overdrive and basically tell Doug to stay out of my way. He proceeds to dump leftover KFC on the kitchen floor and track mud on my carpet in the dining room. I was not a happy camper. :sad2: I did hold it together though. I keep stopping myself and taking a lot of deep breaths.
Yikes, glad you got it all done!

Oh no, I'm so sorry, hope everythings OK :hug:

I had my new slate hearth fitted today and who knew that slate chips and because it's "natural" has arrived with iregularities. It still looks good but not quite what I expected IYKWIM!

So, today has to be better righ? Right? RIGHT?
Gawd, I hope so! But I woke with the beginnings of a migraine, so the jury's still out... :headache:

Oh Kristel, I'm sorry. :hug::hug::hug::hug: Many good vibes heading your way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, my decision to stick my angry head in the sand and deal only with what I absolutely must has helped some; I'm considerably less stressed today. I do have this nasty headache hanging around, but I think that's weather related. ENOUGH with the rain already! :mad:
Been dealing with a lot of Leo stuff lately. We've long suspected the possibility of high-functioning autism and/or something else along those lines but if it's there, it's so minimal that it didn't seem to be a barrier. It seems like maybe it's become more of a problem with school, though, so I set about trying to find some help. What a freaking nightmare. Tried one psychologist who immediately wanted $600 worth of testing that isn't covered by insurance. Uh, no. I don't have that right now. (Bonehead's STILL not paying. Grrr.) And like I said - it's not like Leo's in terrible shape; we just need some guidance and tools to help him out. So he's got an appointment with someone else in a few weeks who sounds like a better fit. Here's hoping! :wizard:
Meanwhile the refi I began in early Oct. is just now getting ready to close. :faint: It's crazy how backed-up the banks are. Hopefully, it'll be done by next week.
Work... still sucks 90% of the time. But I've been busier this week, which helps a lot. So does avoiding people. :teeth:
I think that's it for me. TTYL! :grouphug:
And as I was uploading photos thought I'd show you a very naughty Boo hiding on my kitchen worktop, of course we had to take a photo before we told her off :rotfl:
It looks great, and the picture of Boo is so cute! :)
Feel better, hon. :hug:
Good luck - I know exactly what you mean - it's kind of how we suspect that Woody has some OCD issues. Not enough to be a huge issue, but we have asked some folks for tips on how to handle it. :hug:
My hair is nicely trimmed. :) I went to Target and picked up some stuff, nothing too exciting. I did pick up a nice rugby-style shirt and a gorgeous cream cabled turtleneck sweater from the Land's End sale - got both for a grand total of $27. :thumbsup2
Now I'm having leftover chili and am just hanging. Nothing after school today, and I put the chicken & noodles in the crock pot before I left this morning. :thumbsup2
Hi Jo, I am still around. I read the thread a lot, I just feel like my life is utterly boring compared to all of you :rotfl:. We did have something great happen yesterday.
Bill's advisor let him substitute the last class he needed with a class he had already taken. Bill is graduating from Southern Illinois University in May with a Masters in Rehabilitation Administration. School's out FOREVER as of yesterday!!
I am so proud of him!!
You need to move here, it would be free
Listen, the way things are going over here, that's a very real possibility - I'm seriously looking into a move to Europe. I don't think my body can handle the British climate though; 60 and rainy is causing me a world of hurt right now, lol!
Pretty! :thumbsup2
Awww - look how big she's gotten! :cutie:
::yes:: It's hard, too, because if I look at the specific things that seem "off" with Leo, they can fall into any number of diagnoses, but none of the diagnoses fit him exactly, either. Between the last counselor we tried and then the psychologist, I'm left feeling like all these people want is more money, not to help people. :sad2:
Nice! I scored some stuff for Leo there last weekend - a new fleece jacket for $14!
Bill is graduating from Southern Illinois University in May with a Masters in Rehabilitation Administration. School's out FOREVER as of yesterday!!
That's AWESOME!!! :cheer2:
Thanks Janet - I will! :hug:[
No problem!
It's never-ending. :headache: AND, I was just informed that the other bank that holds my HELOC wants $100 to remain the secondary lien-holder. Dirtbags.
Aren't they all:sad2: Just heard about the bonuses AIG wants to give out. Um, excuse me???:mad:
So here is what it used to look like, with Boo in of course :rotfl2:
I'm making chili sometime soon, just not sure when. :upsidedow
I just feel like my life is utterly boring compared to all of you :rotfl:
And that's the reason I don't post on FB much! :rotfl2:
School's out FOREVER as of yesterday!!
:dance3: Congratulations!
I'd like to read, but the pool guy is working. It's nice and quiet then all of the sudden he'll start the electric saw. :eek:
Jo, I don't know where your post went, but love the hearth, and OMG your cat is precious! :goodvibes
Kristel- Thinking of you guys and sending good thoughts!!!!
V- so sorry for the drama in finding someone to help you out, it is really sad that helping people isn't the priority over $$. Stupid dollar.
Jo- the hearth looks beautiful!
Tracy- CONGRATS to Bill!!!!!!
HI to everyone else I missed!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well since there was a huge "storm watch" yesterday I changed my plans all around and woke up to nothing this morning. It snowed but it was gone by this afternoon. Thanks universe for messing me up.

I am going to stay in anyway tho, maybe bake some Biscotti I never got around to making before. I am also making some Hash Brown Chili for dinner so we have leftovers for the weekend in case we come home hungry, and then Sunday I won't have to cook!

I do have the whole house to do a once over of, and I am trying to streamline all our clutter. Sometimes I just feel like we have too much crap out in the house. With the prospect of new people coming over Saturday I feel the need to fix the clutter.

Anyways off to be productive, I Hope.

Kristel :hug: :hug: Sending lots of good mojo your way. Please keep us posted.

:wave2: Hi girls! Another crazy week. I'm tallying up cookie orders - what a nightmare! Ugh!

Have a great day! :hippie:
