What can my dad expect after having an eye surgery?

Thanks for this info. I'm currently being monitored for this. Apparently, the film started growing fairly soon after the surgery, so they were thinking that, at that rate, I'd need the procedure very soon. But apparently it's taking a rest-but I continue going back every 3 months. Now it's been about 1 1/2 years since my surgery. I was getting kind of nervous about it, so I'm so glad you said it's fairly common.

Common and really not a big deal.
Takes a couple minutes and really isn't uncomfortable or anything to be worried about.

And the good news is that it is a one and done procedure according to my ophthalmologist and will never need to be repeated.
