It's been a crazy few days... appointments, rain, shopping, rain, ortho, oh and then some more rain. Rain stinks.:headache: Well, at least it's not snow.

SO, you're saying it's raining there;) Seriouslu, I heard about it on the radio. Hope you are all okay. :hug:

I'm not hungry, but all I want to do is eat. :eek: I'm trying for water instead. I have kept off the weight I lost by not eating the whole week of Book Fair back in November, but I'd like to get rid of more - and for sure don't want to put it back on.

Good job!:thumbsup2

Please send some prayers and Hugs to my friend Phil !! His baby is very sick in NYC /Long Island hospital !!! Last I heard the antibiotics wern't helping and she is on a respirator !!!!

Good thoughts heading that way Rosie:goodvibes

One guy actually told me the only way to get it back is if it doesn't work out!

:scared1: I never heard of such a thing!

Waiting in again, it's 9.20am here and I was told the man would call me between 8 and 10am to give me a 3 hour time slot for when he'll visit. Hopefully I'll know soon as it's another limbo day :sad2:

I hate that. We have the people coming on January 30th to install our sateliite dish, they will be there betweem 12:00 and 4:00. That's my who Saturday shot:sad2:

He never phoned but did turn up about 20 minutes ago and it's all done, one of the electrodes was cracked. It means though that I can do stuff :thumbsup2

Yay, glad it's fixed:yay:

I have to leave for fun tennis in a few - and then I have to drive fast :rolleyes1 to the dentist for my own cleaning. Poor dentist, 'cause there's no shower time involved in this plan... :rotfl2: (I should be relatively OK - I did shower last night when I dyed my hair, and I'll wear deodorant and take clean clothes, I promise. ;))

:rotfl2:

Then, nothing much. I'll have to make the picnic dinner for the menfolk for ski club at some point, but then that's about it. Probably some laundry, again... Exciting stuff around here. :rolleyes: :lmao:

Have a good day!:goodvibes

My mother is supposedly coming in March to keep Reid whilst his school is closed. My aunt can't keep my grandmother, so my mother wants me to keep her. She did ask me if that was ok, only because my sister told her she needed to, :rolleyes: but of course, I can't say no, and the thought of having her here for 2 more weeks is killing me. :headache: If my they would only come for one week, I could handle it, but since my mother feels she's entitled to celebrate my birthday, they are staying 2 weeks. Yesterday I texted my sister and told them not to come and I'd just keep Reid, but I haven't heard back from her. I think I need to take up yoga or something to learn to relax more around them.

I hate the thought of you stressed. Hopefully your sister will see the light;)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Good morning. Another day in heck planned. Just busy at work. Not meetings or anything tonight so that will be good. Maybe I can get to bed at a decent time.

Hope you all have a good day. Will try and check in at lunch time!:goodvibes:grouphug:

Can't the Grandmother go with your Mom too? Hope you get it sorted :hug:

Fingers crossed :hug:

Well I've been quite productive. I went to the club and practised my chipping and putting for half an hour (that's all I could handle as it was so cold) I then did a big supermarket shop and have just finished baking a cake, from scratch not a box ;):rotfl2:

I've lost 6 lbs since Jan. 2nd.
Congrats - that's great!:woohoo:

Completely understand. We aren't going this year so we can save some $$$. We though we'd just do along weekend somewhere....For what i an lookng at payng for a long weekend, i could do a week at WDW:scared1:
It's crazy, isn't it?! :sad2: What I'd really love is a long weekend at WDW... with NO PARKS - just eating and pooling. :cloud9: Fat chance of doing that now, though; Leo's aaaallll about the rides these days. :headache:

Evening all. Another crazy day at work. I swaer they did NOTHING while I was out:mad: AND they expect me to still do things from my other job. I finally told them todday that I can't do both. My stress level is through the roof and I am not getting sick again becasue of that place.

Ugh, family stuff drives me up the wall. Sorry Angela. :hug::hug::hug:

Morning! Nothing all that new. Leo picked his Bday restaurant... The Plaza in MK! He was quite clear: NO characters, NO singing Happy Bday, and he wants a treat - cake or ice cream. He loved The Plaza last time we went, and he wants to be at the MK, so he's happy. Maybe I'll get a cake for the room and we can do a teeny bit of singing there. ;)

Thanks! My sister only has one guest room, but maybe my mom and grandmother can share the full size bed. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Actually my mom couldn't handle Reid and my grandmother if they left the house because they both require so much attention.

and have just finished baking a cake, from scratch not a box ;):rotfl2:
Oh, what kind? I just made a box brownie since it's just me. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Great birthday pick. My friend picked The Plaza for her daughter's birthday in December. It was nice and very low key, but she did order a cake and they sang when it was brought out.

When's Leo'b b-day?

Things have been busy as hard lately, but I am choosing to focus on the following a)Getting a new comforter to go with the new mattress I put in myself last weekend, b)My family birthday celebration this weekend, c)My b-day trip to NYC next weekend. :banana::banana:

Ooh, nice! :)

I got the bug and priced out stuff for the boys birthday - it's during our stupid second break week, which is handy - but I have to balance that against anything else I might want to do this year. D keeps talking of a 10th anniversary trip, which sounds intriguing... And then maybe Milan... Sigh.

Thanks! My sister only has one guest room, but maybe my mom and grandmother can share the full size bed. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Those sound like good things to be concerned with. :thumbsup2 Let me know where you find a comforter. I've been looking for several years and can't quite find the perfect one. Of course I don't have anything specific in mind. I'll just know when I see it. :goodvibes

Will you be buying purses in the park in NYC? :lovestruc

Sounds great! What are you going to do in NYC? :goodvibes
NYC plans are to have lunch in the Village, dinner in midtown, then we're seeing a little night music with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury. SAturday I'm doing the behind the scenes tour at Wicked. My plans are kind of spacey because I hope to see some friends from high school that are in grad school there, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Possibly getting a purse if they are good enough.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mellow day. It's KC's day off so we are chilling out. I am making a very easy dinner (roasted chicken and sausages w grapes). We got a ton of new downloaded movies so we are going to curl up and watch 'em today.
I made Peanut Butter Banana Bread yesterday, I call it "Elvis Bread" and it came out 10X's better than I thought! Usually I bake for therapy not so much to eat, but this I wanna eat!!! If anyone wants the recipe , lemme know!
FYI We are talking about going to Florida in June for a music festival in Orlando. My birthday is a few days before it, so I am gonna try and squeeze a n overnight in WDW in for my b-day! We will be staying with my BFF the rest of the time, to save $ tho, but will be renting a car so we can do outside park Disney stuff. I promised KC some serious relaxing too, so there are beach plans too. I'm a little excited about it!
We also have our long weekend trip to Boston the end of March too, for the gaming convention. So that should be fun!
Off to watch Sherlock Holmes first then (I think) It's Complicated. I love downloading. ;)
We loved It's Complicated :thumbsup2 Your vacation plans sound good too!!!
The cake turned out great except I didn't quite make the buttercream thick enough so it doesn't look too pretty but taste is what matters, right? :rotfl2:
As some of you have seen I've just found out the girls will be off school Friday 1st and Monday 4th October so I'm thinking of suggesting to D that we go away for a long weekend :thumbsup2 Now we have to decide where to go, I'm thinking Center Parcs as it's about £320 for all of us for the whole 4 days and includes a big water park but as we're going at Christmas we'll have to see. They do have 4 parks though in different parts of the country so we could choose a different one. In the past we've been to the one in the lake district, the one near Bath and the Suffolk/Norfolk one but we've never been to the Sherwood Forest one, yes where Robin Hood is from :idea:
Victoria sandwich with vanilla buttercream and jam/jelly :thumbsup2
More or less unrelated, but I just read a kind of funny book from my amazon program called "Queen Victoria, Demon Hunter".
Oh, I was pricing WDW. We've not been since FF08, can you believe it?
Looks like a British friend suggested it, but would a weekend IN London be fun, even though you live close? :goodvibes I mean, I would like it! :rotfl2:
That was my next door neighbour. I'm not much of a city person, we like going in about twice a year, choosing 1 or 2 things then getting out :rotfl2:
Oh I also cleared up Jessica's bedroom this afternoon, her empty wardrobe is now full, she never puts her clothes away :rotfl2:
Can't wait for 5:00 to get here. Hope you are all have\ing a great day!:goodvibes
A Victoria sandwich is a white cake with jam and buttercream, it's made with 4 eggs and 8 ounces of butter, caster sugar (fine stuff not powdered) and self raising flour. Very easy and delicious :thumbsup2
You mean thats a real place:rotfl2:
Errr yeah :rotfl2: It's kind of in the middle of the country near Nottingham :thumbsup2
We had a fire this morning so were out of the building for a while. It was just a small one:confused3
How did that happen?
And????????????
Oh, it's fine - no more than we've been paying (you know D says only AKL) but again, we have to figure out what we really want to do this year as far as vacations go. :confused3
Evening all. Another crazy day at work. I swaer they did NOTHING while I was out. AND they expect me to still do things from my other job. I finally told them todday that I can't do both. My stress level is through the roof and I am not getting sick again becasue of that place.
We are waiting on pins and needles. Jim's union and the school district have a tentative agreement, but none of the details have been released yet. We won't find out anything for sure until after the ratification meeting at 7pm tomorrow night.
Now we just have to worry about my union's contract. We can't strike, so I am not worried about that...but a raise would be nice.
Had a Home and school meeting which ran late and I am just getting home. I'm tired and heading to bed. Hope you are all having a good night.
Sorry about the work situation. Hopefully they will get the point. Good Luck with the school stuff.
Hi all, from the land of rain and mudslides!
It's been a crazy few days... appointments, rain, shopping, rain, ortho, oh and then some more rain. Rain stinks. Well, at least it's not snow.
Anyway, just popped in to see how you all are doing.
Good night!
Hey there! Fires, mudslides and earthquakes - I'll come visit but I ain't stayin'! I hope the rain ends soon. We've had freezing rain all day today. Lots of cars off the road this morning.
Evening All!!! If I am a MIA Focker it is only due to lack of laptaps or LoL !!
Well the "BAD" staff was behaving whe I went in !!! I told you I had great staff .. Well one of my LOOOOOONG timers who is not known for mincing his words !!! Had had a few with him before I got in and had reemed him a new one. So when I started about the wheelchair he immediately appoligised and said he had been "Talked " to !!! He made a serious mistake when he had told another staff that he didn;t care what John said !!! He now cares
Jo you are the Bestest!!!
Kristel always love your updates !!
I'm glad you didn't have to be the meanie. Maybe he's learned his lesson. Why is Jo still the Bestest??? ;););)
Please send some prayers and Hugs to my friend Phil !! His baby is very sick in NYC /Long Island hospital !!! Last I heard the antibiotics wern't helping and she is on a respirator !!!!
That's terrible. Prayers sent.
Long stinky day. KC ended up coming home from work late which caused arguments and drama for a while. We finally sat down to eat at like 10 frikkin 30. Not cool. Now he is playing games with his friend from work and I am surfing the web soon to hit the bed and read.
I decided to read Chasing Harry Winston before the others, no clue why. It's good so far. Night![/COLOR]
:flower3:
There's pools at WDW?????? J/K;)
I'm glad the fire was a small one. Did you need any more excitement? Your in the home stretch! I hope the drive home is a good one.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
We had to take my min. pinscher in for his teeth this morning. The roads were very icy. We saw a car laying on it's side in a field. :eek:
Then we went to Indy to drop off some paperwork for the doctor to sign. I was a little peeved about this. Driving 50 minutes just for some papers. I told Doug to get a fax# next time and have his employer fax it to them.
Of course, if it had been a nice day, we could have visited some malls. Maybe went somewhere to eat lunch. It was just too carpy out to mess around.
That's all I got.
I'll join CE in saying we have a very exciting life. That's OK, I'll save the excitement for trips.
Luv ya guys!
Fockers,
I have a question. T can prolly answer it, but if anyone knows, please jump in.
Where is the Snow White fountain located at Disneyland????
Someone was just looking at my tribute and the old pictures and they saw it. I can't even begin to remember.
Is there a Sheriff there:rotfl2::lmao:
Well there used to be not sure about now though :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Why is Jo still the Bestest??? ;););)
Because I'm always Rosie's bestest :goodvibes
Sounds like you had fun puttering around, cleaning bedrooms and baking.
No I went putting not puttering, you Americans and your silly language ;):rotfl2: BTW what you call puttering we call pottering, weird huh!!!!
Because no other schools are on holiday it's a good price, it's about $510
Then we went to Indy to drop off some paperwork for the doctor to sign. I was a little peeved about this. Driving 50 minutes just for some papers. I told Doug to get a fax# next time and have his employer fax it to them.
That is a pain, good idea about the fax :thumbsup2
I'm off to bed, it's forecast to chuck it down tomorrow and I have a golf match :sad2: it's the last one in the Kent winter 4 ball and we haven't done well enough to get through even if we win tomorrow so may as well have fun right :thumbsup2
Fockers,
I have a question. T can prolly answer it, but if anyone knows, please jump in.
Where is the Snow White fountain located at Disneyland????
Someone was just looking at my tribute and the old pictures and they saw it. I can't even begin to remember.
It's down a path to the right of the castle. I have sweet memories of that place as well. :cloud9:
