Hello Fockers!
I read all the posts but quoting is nearly impossible
on the Ipod touch. Anyone else notice this? I do love
it though. :love:

Jo: You got lots done today! Your weekend away
sounds great and you can't beat the price! Hope golf
doesn't get rained out.

T: Got that ark built yet ? Man, I am glad that we don't
have mudslides! Scary stuff! (uh, I like the drink though....)
:rotfl2:

Kristel: sorry to hear about what Doug's going thru. Glad
you were safe driving today. Icy roads are terrifying!

Angela: ugh family issues! Did you ever hear from your
sister?

Hi Janet, Hedy, Kat, Rosie, V, TE, CE, and anyone else
I may have missed. :wave2:

Sorry about the work situation. Hopefully they will get the point. .

Well, I got no "emergency" phone calls today!:thumbsup2

Well there used to be not sure about now though

:thumbsup2

I'm off to bed, it's forecast to chuck it down tomorrow and I have a golf match :sad2: it's the last one in the Kent winter 4 ball and we haven't done well enough to get through even if we win tomorrow so may as well have fun right :thumbsup2

Hope the weather holds out for you!

Hello Fockers!
Hi Janet, Hedy, Kat, Rosie, V, TE, CE, and anyone else
I may have missed. :wave2:

:wave:

T- Glad you checked in. How are you all making out with all the rain?

++++++++++++++++

Well the teachers voted yes on the contract. They added 20 minutes to the school day. Why? I don'tknow...No clue what can be accomplised in 20 minutes. Guess that extra 20 minutes will make the students all rocket scientists:confused3 Two raises 3% each, which in this economy is GREAT!:thumbsup2 And a bunch of other stuff that has to do with incentive pay etc, that Jim was happy about. The only think I know it means is that he won't be going on Strike and he will keep getting a paycheck:woohoo:

Jimmy went to bed teed off because we wouldn't let him watch TV when he got home from school. He has been giving us a hard time getting up in the morning (all week) so last night we told him if it happened today he would have no TV. Guess he though we were kidding:confused3 But he went to bed without argument and here's hoping that tomorrow he wakes up without issue *fingers crossed*

I'm tired. I really despise when we are off on Monday's, it always seems that week is soooo long. I'm going to bed. See you all tomorrow!:goodvibes:grouphug:

:scared1:
Hidy Ho, Fockers!

Because I'm always Rosie's bestest :goodvibes

No I went putting not puttering, you Americans and your silly language ;):rotfl2: BTW what you call puttering we call pottering, weird huh!!!!

Because no other schools are on holiday it's a good price, it's about $510

That is a pain, good idea about the fax :thumbsup2

I'm off to bed, it's forecast to chuck it down tomorrow and I have a golf match :sad2: it's the last one in the Kent winter 4 ball and we haven't done well enough to get through even if we win tomorrow so may as well have fun right :thumbsup2[/QUOTE

Same on the iPhone, so I know what you mean. ;) Hi, Mel!

Great news!

Hope your morning went OK! We had drama this morning. Week 3 (out of 5) for ski club, and again they didn't go to bed until nearly 10:00. I had the alarm all set for "normal" school time, but D went in and said the boys could have an extra half hour/40 minutes if they wanted us to drive them instead of taking the bus. Up until this year, we'd never missed the bus, but in this case I don't mind and it's not really a big deal to do it every once in a while. I have no interest in every day - and the boys LOVE the bus :confused: - but for this...

Anyway, that question served to set Woody off on a screaming, crying rampage about "I don't know what I want to do." :rolleyes: Well, of course, by then, he wasn't going to go back to sleep (and poor Buzz was trying, but...), so we made them just get up, but it was a rough start. I said that next week on Friday, I'm taking it out of their hands and my alarm won't go off for the bus - sleeping a little longer is mandatory. :thumbsup2

Of course, next week, for all I know, MIL will be here - she's never gotten back to me with the dates they're coming. :rolleyes: Not that it changes anything, except the boys tend to wake early when we have company.

Thinking out loud - that's going to be fun, ski club with company and no D. :headache:

Sorry, I'm wandering. :rotfl:

I guess we're headed for cardio tennis in a bit, then I don't know what else I'm doing today. My throat is hurting, which stinks. And, out of nowhere, it's 12. We were up above freezing yesterday, but the sky was clear last night, so I guess the heat escaped. :lmao: We're still supposed to get to 35 today, which isn't bad, but I once again feel no need to step outside right now. :rotfl2:

Have a good morning, everyone! :grouphug:

Great news!

::yes::

When it rains it pours

Have a good morning, everyone! :grouphug:

You too!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Jimmy got up without issue this morning:thumbsup2 See what happens when he goes to bed at a normal hour without a fight. Not that I am saying mom is always right, but....:rolleyes1

Not much planned for the weekend. The boys have scouts tonight. I am supposed to go to a meeting about Spring Fair tonight, but it will be after scouts (about 9pm) and I don't know if I feel like going or not. I may be in bed by then:rolleyes:

Tomorrow we may head over to my aunts house to drop off some candy and then take Jimy to see the Chipmunks, but we haven't decided anything about that yet. It will probably be a game day decision.

The rest of the weekend is going to be laundry and cleaning.

Hope you all have a great day:grouphug:

Oh, I was pricing WDW. We've not been since FF08, can you believe it?
AKL is calling your name. :rolleyes1

Chocolate Butterfinger Cupcake, cut in half.
WDW09220.jpg
I have read about this. Looks wonderful! :thumbsup2

Angela: ugh family issues! Did you ever hear from your sister?
She didn't think she could uninvite her. My sister's coworker, who is truly an amazing woman, told my sister to tell my mother that she was invited, and only she, to come take care of Reid. If she can't handle that, which is fine, don't come. That's the best idea I've heard. :goodvibes I feel so selfish, but it's my sister that wants my mother to come, so why am I in the middle? The only thing I should have to deal with is if I see my mother whilst she's here. If I hadn't had such a trying time with my grandmother just a few weeks ago, I probably wouldn't feel so annoyed. :rolleyes:

Well the teachers voted yes on the contract.
Good deal! :thumbsup2

Thinking out loud - that's going to be fun, ski club with company and no D. :headache:
Hey, it's my life too. :hug:

The pool guy is on the way over to get the contract signed so hopefully that means it will be started Monday! :banana:

Terrific, on all counts! :thumbsup2 We're frozen for another year... and just found out we have a 12% decrease in tax rolls... 6% more than what we'd planned. More cuts are coming. :worried:

We're still supposed to get to 35 today, which isn't bad...
Yeah, I'm gonna have to argue that one - 35 is BAD! ;)

Not that I am saying mom is always right, but....:rolleyes1
But... Mom IS always right! :teeth:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OMG, save me! Too long of a story to rehash here (and I really don't even want to think about it anymore, lol!), but Leo had a very, very, VERY bad day at school yesterday and it carried over into our evening at home. I ended the night in tears, wondering if I'll even survive the teen years, if 7 is this bad. :guilty:
No school today, but Momma's got to work, so he's at the after-school program all day. Here's hoping for a huge improvement from yesterday.
:sad: My computer has a virus! Last night when I got home from school it was fine then I went to make dinner and when I came back I was getting crazy messages saying my computer is infected and somehow three links to porn websites had magically appeared on my desktop. :scared1: This is just great!:rolleyes: I have three papers I wanted/needed to work on this weekend but now my computer is going to be in the shop most likely getting wiped completely clean. :headache: I guess I will be borrowing Erich's laptop or doing all my schoolwork at work. I have no idea how this happened though as I don't do ant illegal downloading, just itunes, and I don't open e-mails with attachments unless I am expecting something. Good thing I got my big Christmas paycheque today!
I have no contact yet. I'm not going to be looking for any raise in the enxt couple of years I think, AND they are still talking about furlough days (30 of them:eek:)
:hug::hug: Sounds to me like Leo and this particular school (or at least this teacher) cannot co-exist. Other than private schools any other options? Are there Charter Schools there?
Ack Lessa. That stinks! We are going to be taking our desktop in for a good cleaning soon too. All of a sudden, despite spyeare, adware, virus protection, etc we are getting all kinds of Pop-Ups. Some of which should DEFINITELY not be popping up while Jimmy is playing at the Nick Jr or PBS Sites:headache::mad: Hope it is a quick and inexpensive fix for you!
Ugh - the exact same thing happened to my work laptop last month. I, too, never open attachments, etc.; it seemed to have appeared out of nowhere... but our IT guys think it may have come from, of all things, a Microsoft update. Niiice. Anyway, they did have to wipe mine, but only the software; they were able to keep all of my data files, so you may be fine!
I have no contact yet. I'm not going to be looking for any raise in the enxt couple of years I think, AND they are still talking about furlough days (30 of them:eek:)
Shoot, that's a LOT of furlough. :sad2: :hug:
:hug::hug: Sounds to me like Leo and this particular school (or at least this teacher) cannot co-exist. Other than private schools any other options? Are there Charter Schools there?
Sadly, what I'm finding is that it's not the school - it's the school district. We do have some charter and magnet schools, but none that have openings and would be a good match for Leo; they're either fundamental (can you even imagine? not good for the highly creative learner) or too far away, or in danger of losing funding any day. :sad2: In this particular case, Leo screwed up, though - big time. :mad:
Hi Everyone! :wave:
No time to chat, really, but just wanted to check in and say I'm about done with the rain. :teeth:
Have to get the kids off to school.... BBL.
One of the reasons we aren't planning a trip this year:sad2:
Yikes, hope it gets fixed quick!
Well it poured and I got soaked at golf but................. we won :yay: I finished the match with 6 straight pars to win :thumbsup2 My face is so rosy now as it was so windy and I think I'll sleep well tonight :rotfl2:
Good Afternoon, All!
It's down a path to the right of the castle. I have sweet memories of that place as well. :cloud9:
Thanks so much! I am going to make it back. Promise. Of course, I'll need some planning help from a certain Focker.(Hint, hint)
Well, I got no "emergency" phone calls today!
That's good news on the teaching. That 20 minutes will be added to the end of the day, right? Your having enough trouble with Jimmy in the morning.
I have read about this. Looks wonderful!
It is very good. It's at the Starring Rolls Cafe. I'm usually not that into chocolate cake. I guess the fudge and chilled whipped cream made it work. I ate half and Rockie ate the other. It was heaven.:littleangel:
Did you end up going with the lower estimate?
Yay for the $$$$$!
Hi Mel, thanks for the good thoughts!
####################################################
Gotta get ready for my weekend of work.
Now you all behave and have a great weekend!
Ugh, hope their day goes okay!:goodvibes
So far, it's OK. Woody melted down a bit when we vetoed a ski trip for tonight. :rolleyes: Because, you know, he's not tired... :rotfl:
They wont' just show up without confirming will they?
Well, at the very least, I think they'll want picked up at the airport, so no, not likely. ;)
If I hadn't had such a trying time with my grandmother just a few weeks ago, I probably wouldn't feel so annoyed. :rolleyes:
:hug:
That's great!
Yeah, I'm gonna have to argue that one - 35 is BAD! ;)
Well... I guess. But it's truly not bad for NH in January! :rotfl:
Hi, T!
Oh no, hope they're not too tired tonight!
Eh, at least there's no homework and our b-ball game tomorrow isn't until 12:30. :thumbsup2
Well it poured and I got soaked at golf but................. we won :yay: I finished the match with 6 straight pars to win :thumbsup2
That's awesome! Congratulations! :goodvibes :yay:
*****************************************************
Well...
I got talked into the second tennis class this morning. D & I both showered there, then went and looked at more ski/cargo boxes for the roof rack, then had lunch. Just got home about a half hour before the kids came. They had only been home 2 or 3 minutes when Buzz got a call for a playdate. I schlepped him over there, then Woody & D have just left to go sledding for a while. Woody tried to call a neighborhood friend who wasn't home, and our neighbor whom he loves so much is at his brother's game now, too.
Then, I got a call that Buzz is staying for pizza over at his friend's. My night has gotten REALLY easy - except that I do have to pick him up at some point, so I probably shouldn't have opened this beer. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
I tried to call MIL, but had to leave a message. D reminded me that this is the last weekend our old babysitter is home from college, so I called her and we're going out tomorrow night. Woohooty! Then, we're planning on family ski day on Sunday. It's supposed to be nearly 40 - nice! :thumbsup2
Okay !!! Good Day off !! Got to the credit union to apply for a lower rate credit card , have to wait and see !!! Turned in paperwork to withdraw from my 403B !! I called the company the other day !!!Well HR gave me the wrong number and I got a Dating Service or maybe worse !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:My Boss was sitting there and when I told her she said "NO Way" so I had her call .... we were rolling !!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:
Just a quick hello. Had an amazingly busy day but enjoyed it. Had a pedicure and everything! Made a new recipe tonight. Shrimp Fra Diavolo with linguine. Mmmmmmm
really really yummy but SO spicy!! Lol. Everyone was holing kleenexs at the table because it made our noses run. :rofl:
Angela: I think you hit it on the head there. Why ARE you in the middle? Someday we'll have many cocktails and compare mom stories. Something tells me they're ally alike!
Jo: I do love the iPod touch, however, it's not the most easy to do Disboards with. Having said that, I use it for TONS of other stuff that I'd normally have to go sit at the regular computer for. I am a news junkie so I lve being able to read it whenever.
Congrats on your tennis win! :cheer:
Janet: The funny thing about the extra 10 mins is that they'll probably just end their day at the same time they always did and just let them have free time! Many years in the school system have made me bitter. Lol
Hello to Kristel, Rosie, Lessa (bummer on your puter!), T, Kat and TE.
Have a good night everybody. I'm off to watch Sci Fi TV.
Mel :banana:
Well my computer is going to cost $200 to fix. It wouldn't have been so much except for Mom has important work stuff that she needs backed up so we are having to pay for that. I always back my files up so I wouldn't have to pay that extra fee if it weren't for that, Mom said she will help pay though, I hope so, they are her files! I am also having them clean it as it was SO dusty inside. I sure am glad that I didn't buy my Anatomy textbook as the cost of the computer fix is the cost of that book pretty much.
:sad: My computer has a virus! Last night when I got home from school it was fine then I went to make dinner and when I came back I was getting crazy messages saying my computer is infected and somehow three links to porn websites had magically appeared on my desktop. :scared1: This is just great!:rolleyes: I have three papers I wanted/needed to work on this weekend but now my computer is going to be in the shop most likely getting wiped completely clean. :headache: I guess I will be borrowing Erich's laptop or doing all my schoolwork at work. I have no idea how this happened though as I don't do ant illegal downloading, just itunes, and I don't open e-mails with attachments unless I am expecting something. Good thing I got my big Christmas paycheque today!
Ugh - the exact same thing happened to my work laptop last month. I, too, never open attachments, etc.; it seemed to have appeared out of nowhere... but our IT guys think it may have come from, of all things, a Microsoft update. Niiice. Anyway, they did have to wipe mine, but only the software; they were able to keep all of my data files, so you may be fine!
So you guys are going to have to forgive my growing computer security snottiness. Blame KC, but he knows what hes talking about. And granted, everyone gets a virus sometimes, even the most careful people BUT most of the places you take computers to be fixed are way overpriced and pretty avoidable. And for future reference, KC is more than happy to help anyone out if needed, and can do so by phone and buy installing an easy free program (he did this with rosie and fixed her almost dead computer). they should rarely ever need to wipe your computer, either. And using IE is BAD. there are several articles explaining it, it is not a safe browser AT ALL. Personally we have ad-aware and AVG as our security programs.
Again sorry to get on my high horse but I hate to hear people are paying for things that could have been fixed by KC or for free, esp. my friends who i can help out.
Anyways...
Blah days for the past few. I have been feeling kinda run down and had a bad headache and a bit of dizziness. I have been trying to just relax as much as possible. No plans for the weekend except to watch some more movies. Our media player (popcorn hour) broke yesterday because of something I apparently, deleted. So we spent most of the day figuring out how to turn the big PC into our media center. Today we are watching some movies on it!
We had a guy come and buy some of my old wrestling figures too, so that was a quick 25 bucks.
Off to finish watching Sherlock Holmes, which is reallllly good so far!
