Kat--job market sucks around here (oops sorry CE--I mean "the job market is really bad) ............over 12% unemployment and no jobs to be had. Everyone is hoping the economy turns around soon. Many of our factories went to Mexico.


V--I'm going to an asthma specialist tomorrow (after waiting 5 weeks for the appt)--I can't get over the cough---any exercise, raising my voice, or at random inconvenient times. Tired of puffing my inhaler. I'll let you know what he says--hoping something new out there.

He's never flown C-o-a-c-h on international flights so he's wondering how that will go with his long legs. He says we'll never know the difference--they were made for 5 foot tall people!

I did, both ways. As a taller person, I'm sure business would be better, but it's OK enough. I don't know how you're sitting or the plane you're on, but I was in the window, 2 person side going out, and that felt better, though I'm sure it's really the same room as the 6-across middle. It's mental, I'm sure, but...

I got 3 call backs today and was excited at the interviewing prospect, until they all tell you that they want $75 or more $$$$ to get you in. They say it's for the background check or whatever but i have worked for a security company before and they pay for you, not the other way around. This is why I never renewed my license, because the right company will pay for that as well. 3 CALLS like this!!!! 3!!!!!!!

Sometimes you can pay a little extra, normally about £50 so $80 to have the bulk head seats which have tons of leg room. You have to be over 16 maybe 18 though! Most international flights also allow you to prebook your seats so have a look and if you google best flight seats or something like that there is a website that tells you the best seats to sit in. Personally I prefer to be as close to the front as possible as those planes are huge so once you land you're then at the front of the passport control queues

Hey All!

Well I did do an update in the wee hours but evidently I did not hit the post button. Poo happens. I had a terrible headache all yesterday through this morning. I'll blame it on that instead of saying that I'm a dummy.

I know that Kat's dress for the vow renewal looked wonderful and she found a place for it to happen.

CE has been buried up to her behind in snow. While T will be buried in Girl Scout cookies soon.

JO wanted to know if the cookies were all that and she has been dealing with boiler people.

ROSIE was trying to catch a bad staffer in action.

DAWN is now staying at the Poly for vacation.

JANET went to the zoo and got some good pictures.

LESSA had a bout of dizziness with a nose bleed. Please, if that happens again go straight to your doctor. PROMISE!??

ANGELA knocked her shower door off it's rail but JO told her how to fix it.

V has been helping TE who is going to Europe. TE found out that she may have to pay for a toilet.

I see today that MEL checked in. She has had sickies and NB is leaving her for an Asian work tour.

OK that's all I can remember.

We have our ressie for the Ip-Dip meet in October. Doug and I will stay at POFQ. Just a 3-day thing, no hoppers or dining plan. Rockie may join us.

If the doctor says it is OK, we will be going to Ireland in June too.

The dishwasher is a wash. We can't find anything wrong ourselves. The numb-nuts who put it in did not put it on a separate water line. It's with the kitchen faucet and ice maker on the fridge. So it is staying where it is until we see what happens with Doug.

We got the truck back at 5PM. The new fuel pump is in and they didn't find anything else wrong. I hope it will hold up for a few more years.

OH yeah, my NY resolution was to go back on the low-carb thing. I've lost 6 lbs since Jan. 2nd. Considering I have lost '0' in the past year, I'm happy. Now I just need to stay focused and keep losing.

Dinner is ready. Crustless chicken, baked eggplant with parmesan, and pasta for Doug.

I have been applying like mad wherever I can. KC keeps telling me to look more long term but I really want something to get me out of the house. I really don't want to work security again, but some secuirty places offer front desk positions in hotels, that I can do. So I applied at a few. Evening all. Another crazy day at work. I swaer they did NOTHING while I was out AND they expect me to still do things from my other job. I finally told them todday that I can't do both. My stress level is through the roof and I am not getting sick again becasue of that place.

We are waiting on pins and needles. Jim's union and the school district have a tentative agreement, but none of the details have been released yet. We won't find out anything for sure until after the ratification meeting at 7pm tomorrow night.

Now we just have to worry about my union's contract. We can't strike, so I am not worried about that...but a raise would be nice

Had a Home and school meeting which ran late and I am just getting home. I'm tired and heading to bed. Hope you are all having a good night

Well the "BAD" staff was behaving whe I went in !!! I told you I had great staff .. Well one of my LOOOOOONG timers who is not known for mincing his words !!! Had had a few with him before I got in and had reemed him a new one So when I started about the wheelchair he immediately appoligised and said he had been "Talked " to !!! He made a serious mistake when he had told another staff that he didn;t care what John said !!! He now cares

Waiting in again, it's 9.20am here and I was told the man would call me between 8 and 10am to give me a 3 hour time slot for when he'll visit. Hopefully I'll know soon as it's another limbo day

Poor D didn't get home until after midnight. Then, he was still wired and also on T time , so he didn't come to bed for quite a while after that. I was asleep.

So, he then felt bad about not getting up with the kids, but really... Why?

I have to leave for fun tennis in a few - and then I have to drive fast to the dentist for my own cleaning. Poor dentist, 'cause there's no shower time involved in this plan... (I should be relatively OK - I did shower last night when I dyed my hair, and I'll wear deodorant and take clean clothes, I promise. )

Then, nothing much. I'll have to make the picnic dinner for the menfolk for ski club at some point, but then that's about it. Probably some laundry, again... Exciting stuff around here.

Morning All !! Off to get my Disney papers this morning !!!!

My mother is supposedly coming in March to keep Reid whilst his school is closed. My aunt can't keep my grandmother, so my mother wants me to keep her. She did ask me if that was ok, only because my sister told her she needed to, but of course, I can't say no, and the thought of having her here for 2 more weeks is killing me. If my they would only come for one week, I could handle it, but since my mother feels she's entitled to celebrate my birthday, they are staying 2 weeks. Yesterday I texted my sister and told them not to come and I'd just keep Reid, but I haven't heard back from her. I think I need to take up yoga or something to learn to relax more around them.
