Well we just stuffed our faces silly and are watching the last season of Buffy. We are prob going to head over to the bar around the corner after the ball drops. Otherwise it'll be gaming or Buffy for the evening. KC is finally off tomorrow so we are planning a relaxing movie day together.

So have a great new year everyone! I couldn't have made it through this year without you guys! Much love to all!
:grouphug::grouphug:

Sorry I crapped out for drunken Spanish... I had a nasty headache and I decided to lay down for a while.

2 minutes until New Year's Day on the east... so Happy New Year to all my east coast friends! party::grouphug:

Hola, amigos!

Feliz ano nuevo! Yo soy muy felicidad porque sus eres mis amigos. :goodvibes Penso.

Sure.

So, whilst I am by no means sober, I allowed my mother entirely too much wine and she is DRUNK. :lmao: It's kind of fun. She's silly, and very apologetic. :rotfl:

The kids stayed up through the ball drop at the neighbors', then mom, dad, the kids and I came home. D is still over there. Mom & I managed to construct the overnight egg casserole just now, even through her drunkenness. :rotfl:

So, my plan is to sleep in, then eat yummy egg casserole. I hope you all have a fantastic new year (T, you've still got a bit under 2 hours to go...) and please know that I treasure you all. :grouphug:

Oh good I'm not the only one who didn't make it! LOL! We had a lousy night here so I went to bed to end it early. Sadly I'm starting the new year with a cold-thing, Leo's or Gramma's I don't know, and pouring rain. And maybe no Sugar Bowl on TV (Fox and Bright House were still fighting as of 10pm last night). But I'm hopeful for the rest of. 2010! ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOCKERS! :grouphug:

Sorry have been absent for 2 days !!!Have had an awful stomach Bug !!! Me and the bathroom have been good friends for 2 days !! This morning I changed outta the clothes I collapsed in 2 days ago and put back on my pjs only to notice they were falling off me !! Scale reveled I had lost at least 10# !!!

Happy New Year to all my Focker Friends !! Thi is the Third Happy New Year to you guys !!

Well the trip to the city was a bust.... wanna see why?

So sad. I'm sorry you didn't have a better experience at WoD, I know you were so excited to work there. But, you got a CM trip out of it!!

Any word on the one they were supposed to open in Times Square? I'm thinking Dis Meet for the grand opending if it actually happens:woohoo:

I'll certainly be there!!

Jimmy slept until 8:30 this morning. First time EVER:yay: we woke up to snow:headache: Not much less than 2 inches, but enough to put a crimp in everything I have to do today.

Yeah, how about that snow! I waited until later in the afternoon to go out - it was okay by then!
[/QUOTE]

Well the sickies have attacked our village as well. Evan and Waldo both woke up with post nasal drip and sore throats. We had planned to go for sushi tonight, but we'll see how everyone feels in a few hours.

I hope they got better!!

We've been running around crazy today! We got some food for the weekend and hit Target for some last minute stuff that I forgot on my last Target trip 2 days ago. :headache: Do the Target runs ever end?

Nope - and they are never cheap (I love Target ) !

I made all our ADR's for our June/July trip and am happy to report I got everything I wanted. And I'm sure 90% of it will change in the next 6 months! :lmao:

Of course, but that's part of the fun!

Once he told her Happy Birthday she then said, 'Thanks. Now go make me a some toast and get me something to drink.' :rotfl: I quickly had to remind her that just because it's her birthday it does not mean she gets to me little Miss Bossy. :sad2: :eyeroll: :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Happy Birthday to Lindsey!

The kids are now happily playing on the Wii or on the DS. We are supposed to go to my uncle's tonight for a New Year's party but I really don't feel like being around my family right now. I think my dad is disappointed because he was like 'Oh everyone is excited to celebrate Lindsey's birthday' but I'm just to the point of saying screw that to my family. I don't care if they insult other things about my life, but when it comes to my parenting and how I am raising my kids that is where I draw the line. So, I'll make Lindsey's favorite dinner, we'll have some snacks, watch UP! and play on the Wii.

 I hope you wound up doing what you wanted and had a really good night!

Happy New Year everyone!:dance3:

Hope everyone had a fun, safe New Year's Eve! We had a quiet night of fondue with our friends - we weren't planning on staying at their house until midnight, but the evening just flew by and before we knew it, it was 12:00! I'm glad we did though - it was fun and we did get home safely (even if it was raining!). We're definitely not used to staying up so late! We really slept in this morning (even puppy Lilly). Now, we're staying in for a VERY lazy day today!

Ariel is helping out with the Mummer's Parade today. She's involved with one of the comic brigades and she's getting to be a Marshall this year and march in the parade. She just texted to say they're getting ready to go, so I'm going to set up the DVR!!

Was the fondue hotter this year?

Played golf today, even though the course was covered in snow :sad2: when you putted the ball ended up bigger as it turned into a snowball :rotfl2: I didn't play great and my partner and I did absolute rubbish, this however meant we didn't need to wait 2 hours for the presentation as we knew we hadn't won anything :thumbsup2 always look for the positive right :rotfl2:

Oh I cleaned up my siggie :thumbsup2

Luckily we didn't seem to have any fireworks last night - and I say luckily because my Lilly doesn't like them. I think the rain stopped all of those shenanigans!

Was the fondue hotter this year?

:rotfl::rotfl: Not at first! That's why it took so long! But, they got wise and set up a 2nd fondue pot that was aluminum instead of cast iron and that one was bubbling hot! Luckily that pot was by me, so I actually got my food cooked! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wow, you're a diehard!:rotfl2: I can just picture the ball getting bigger and bigger as it rolls :rotfl::rotfl:

Okay, I wish Ariel's brigade would come on the TV already - I'm getting tired of watching the Mummers (I have too many DVRd shows I want to catch up on!)

I only played as it was a competition, otherwise I would have stayed home in the warm :rotfl2:

Was she in the parade? Is the Mummers a parade?

Some pear drops would taste good !! A visit from you even better :thumbsup2
I wish I could Rosie, I wish I could

So the girls are in the kitchen cooking a recipe from Jessica's Nigella book. We're having potato gratin and cheese and tomato stuffed chicken breast wrapped in panchetta with veggies. Wish me luck that my kitchen survives and actually that I do too :rotfl2: The tomatos we've used are sunblushed ones we cooked last night, they were so easy so I'll let you know if they're good :thumbsup2 You literally cut them in half (smaller for bigger ones) sprinkled with some herbs, salt, sugar and olive oil. Put them in a hot oven then turn it off and leave overnight. Apparently they're good in salads, pasta sauces or just on bread with cheese!

Yes, the Mummers are a Philadelphia tradition - they parade every New Year's Day. It's a really big deal around here. They have Comic brigades, string bands, and Fancy Brigades. Ariel's involved with the Mollywhoppers (not sure if that's spelled right), a comic brigade. The tradition always was that just men were allowed to march, that changed somewhat, but I think there might be some groups that are still only men (maybe the STring Bands). She was supposed to be in the group's clubhouse setting up for their afternoon party, but this morning they decided she'd be a Marshall and actually march in the parade holding the sign. Unfortunately, only the last half of their march was on TV - she got cut out during a commercial break, but says there are photos, so I can't wait to see them. She's really into the whole thing (I prefer to watch in warmth in my house :rotfl2:)

Your dinner sounds wonderful! Good for the girls!! I a intrigued by the tomoatoes, can't wait to hear if you give them a :thumbsup2

Denise that sounds cool about the parade and if your DD loves it that's great :)

The meal was delicious, honestly they did a fantastic job :thumbsup2 The tomatoes were amazing, because they were cooked twice (once overnight and again stuffed in the chicken) the flavour was so intense, not quite but almost as strong as sundried but at a fraction of the cost. Definitely worth trying as they were so easy :thumbsup2
