So CE, were you inside your house taking the picture of D or outside helping?
Oh, I was inside.

Truthfully, when he's gone I'm totally fine taking care of it, but since he's here...
The tree looks great and so does CE! Hope you start feeling better soon.
Why, thank you.

(I think you mean KC, but I'll take any compliment I can get.

Oh, the cursing and door slamming at our house this afternoon...
D cleared off the back porch and steps with the shovel, as I showed. Then, he went to snowblow the rather long driveway, and got maybe one foot away from the garage when apparently a corroded bolt broke and some major thing fell off.

He had gotten it out in October, well before any problems, to be sure it would work and didn't need weeks of repairs or anything ahead of time, being very prepared, but couldn't have anticipated this.
He is livid - it's just at 2 years old, he thinks it must have been made of carp materials for bolts to fall apart after only 2 years. We do have a 3-year fix OR replace warranty on it, but that wasn't going to help us move out of the 8 inches of snow we wound up with today.
He searched our house for bolts, couldn't find any the right size... Finally ended up at the neighbor's. They've given up on their blower, which is really old and wasn't working (hired a plow guy again) and so they gladly let him poach parts off theirs. He did get ours working and the driveway is nearly done, but he's still out there now in the near dark and it did start raining on him.

Poor guy.
Now I feel he's probably going to have to fight with Sears over the repairs. I believe that they say for these size ones, we're supposed to bring it in, rather than them coming here for repairs, and D says he's not messing with that. I can just imagine how that Customer Service call is going to go.
It is fairly ridiculous, though - I see his point. Obviously snowblowers are not going to be used in ideal conditions, and they should last more than two years.
The neighbor kid just left. I think I'm making poppyseed chicken tonight, since I forgot to put the chicken & noodles in the crock pot.

I've got about an hour before worrying about that, though.
I steamed the bathroom - fun!

and have done some dishes and some laundry, but I've had a very lazy day. Oh, well.
