Oh no :headache: how annoying and yes it should last more than 2 years! Glad you had fun steaming your bathroom :rotfl2:

::yes:: It's the little things... :rotfl:

My Dad went fishing today and look at what he caught!!!!

Cod.jpg

It's a cod and it bent his fishing rod :rotfl2: He's so pleased though and will really enjoy eating it!

Holy carp! Oh, wait, no! Holy cod! :rotfl2: (I am amusing myself. :lmao:)

Your dad is quite handsome, too.

Oh, I was inside. :rotfl2: Truthfully, when he's gone I'm totally fine taking care of it, but since he's here...:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I understand completely.

CE said:
Why, thank you. :lmao: (I think you mean KC, but I'll take any compliment I can get. :rotfl2:)

:lmao: I seriously need a cheat sheet. You'd think I've never been on here before in my life and that I don't know these things.

Kat - KC looks great! Sorry for they typo!

He searched our house for bolts, couldn't find any the right size... Finally ended up at the neighbor's. They've given up on their blower, which is really old and wasn't working (hired a plow guy again) and so they gladly let him poach parts off theirs. He did get ours working and the driveway is nearly done, but he's still out there now in the near dark and it did start raining on him. :guilty: Poor guy.

Oh man! That stinks! Glad you were able to get parts off your neighbor but your right that should last a lot longer than 2 years!

**********************************************

Well, I think my dad is done decorating for Christmas this year. I'll have to take pics for you guys because we have it everywhere.

This is the first year since my mom's death that he has really 'done it up' like before she passed away. The past couple of years he's done it just because and gone through the motions but this year it really has been different.

I'm off to make some hot cocoa with the kids that they got from our elf JoJo and then we'll watch a movie.

Night everyone!

Kat- KC looks so handsome with his new hairs!

Hey- Does anyone have a first-hand review of the Spirit of Aloha Show? I'm thinking of booking it for our first night so we can relax and get our vacay started right! :thumbsup2

I'll tell him you all approve! We did the Spirit of Aloha one trip. The show itself was a lot of fun but the food was meh, just mediocre.

I think the food is the same as when we went...
The salad/bread. The dressing was yummy.

As you can see we loved the salad and fresh fruit. The rest of the food was ok.

The ribs were good and i know KC liked the chicken but the rice was just rice and the veggies were just veggies.

The show as def cool tho and the atmosphere was great.

The tree looks great and so does CE! Hope you start feeling better soon.

Why, thank you. :lmao: (I think you mean KC, but I'll take any compliment I can get. :rotfl2:)

Just woke up from a looong nap that was supposed to be an hour and ended up being 3. yeesh. Now I ma hoping to finish wrapping my stuff and maybe get my cards finished today too, provided KC wakes up.

We still need to go to Target, do laundry and bake cupcakes for our friend this weekend. OH- and Saturday is 7 years together. It's the day we had our first date! We are planning some type of dinner outing and maybe ice skating in Bryant Park (Its free). Fri is about 7 people's Birthday that I know, so we may head out that night too. It is also what would have been my mom's birthday so you never know how I feel that day.

Anyways typing here is not helping me get anything done and I'm hungry. Leftover pumpkin sausage lasagna is on the menu (Thanks Rachel Ray).

Phew all caught up!!!
Jo gald you won a golf ,:thumbsup2 sorry about th lady who was hurt!:hug:I agree your Dad is a nice looking gentleman!! and that is one big COD!!!I'll take some with chips !!:rotfl2:

Kat Tell KC he looks awesome with the short hair :thumbsup2

The party went very well !! Lots of good food , pizza , premade sandwiches , relish trys , cheese and crackers, chips andLOTSof yummy cookies !!!The kids came and enjoyed the food and the company !! The consumers love to see the kids!!They hae grown up with the MR population so are at ease with them !! I realyy like kids to get to meet disabled people it makes them much more accepting adults !!:)

I also attended a seeion on Alzheimers today ! While I was aware of much I did learn something that explained something my Mum said when she was in a Family senior care facility !! She was looking in the mirror in the dining room and informed my aunt that the people in the other dining room got better food !!! We always just thought it funny!! But I learned the reason ... Alzheimers loose their short mmory which I knew !! I didn't connect though that looking into a mirror at themselves , they don't recognize that old person,they remember a much younger them !! So Mum had no idea she was looking at herself !!!:goodvibes Makes sense now !!!:thumbsup2

Hi all! Just stopping in, read a tiny bit. Kat :thumbsup2 on the tree & KC's faux-hawk.

CE send some snow this way ;)

Yeah just trying to keep up with stuff this week.

The trip can't come soon enough, but at the same time I'm amazed how quickly December is going by! I haven't even decorated the house, but we did get the tree up.

My mom decided to spend the holidays in PR, so she's taking a leave of absence from work and leaving Sunday. I think it'll be my first Christmas and New Year's without her. :guilty:

Anyway, just stopping in to say Hi! :wave:

/
What's the temperature like there at the moment?
74 today, 80 Tuesday and 69 next Saturday! Who knows? ;)

The tree looks lovely - and so does KC! :goodvibes
Absolutely! :thumbsup2

Oh, the cursing and door slamming at our house this afternoon... :sad2:
How maddening. :headache:

Can you go too? :hug: We'll be here for you.

Preliminary reports are I'm having another nephew, and I'm so disappointed it's not a girl. Is that terrible? I know I'll love him and won't care when he gets here, but I wanted to get all the cute girly things. princess:

I'm spending money, and it's barely even for Christmas. Sigh.

Isn't that always the way:sad2:

Janet - Glad you haven't gotten phone calls yet and hopefully it'll stay that way.

See below:rolleyes:

Won my golf and found out that the lady who slipped yesterday broke her leg in 2 places and needs a plate :eek: She lives on her own so this will be extra hard :sad2:

Congrats and that poor lady:scared1:

He looks thrilled,

Poor D:hug:

Hey everyone!

:wave2: The tree and KC look great! That's so cool that he dontated the hair. Was it to locks for love?

Oh, I was inside.

Smart girl:thumbsup2

Awww:hug: Come to Philly!:thumbsup2

Family Night at the Book Fair went really well, but I had to laugh. As I mentioned yesterday they gave us 2 registers. Only one was used all day during the day, because they couldn't get the other registers drawer to open. I got there and got it to work...but unlocking it:sad2::rotfl2:

The kids all had a ball, but I think my son is too smart for his own good. Santa was there greeting the kids and giving out candycanes, etc. Jim told Jim that it wasn't the real Santa becasue he didn't have boots on, he only had covers over his shoes. That must just be one of Santa's helpers:lmao:

The boys went home about 8:00, but I stayed to count out and straighten up so everything was ready for today. By the time I got home it was about 8:45, and my neighbors had just comeout of their house and were going to get something to eat, so I decided to tag along becasue I was starving (didn'thave dinner, went right to school). Wound up not getting home until midnight :faint: I'm very tired, but we had a good time. It was Quizzo night. Although V and Kate would be very diappointed in me. I had a complete brain fart on the question what is Ralphie's last name in A Christmas Story:sad2:

Hope everyone has a happy Thursday:hug:

It does get frustratin when shopping. Jim always says look..there's the girls department and over there is the boys rack:sad2:

Good Morning All !! Quiet day so far !! Hae to go to Buffalo this evening for work !!! So will be home late !!
Z sorry you will be alone as in NO Mom!!:hug: You can keep us company online at least we can ll be with you in cyberspace !!!:hug:

Z - Sorry your Mom won't be around for Christmas. Do you have other family in the area you can spend it with?

I must've missed Z's post. :confused3 But I'm sorry. Hopefully you have somewhere nice to go - we've created our own 'holiday family' here, as you know. It's worked really well for us. :hug:

:hug: About your mom's trip. That would be hard. :hug:

I'll have to take some tonight when all the lights are on. It just doesn't look as pretty without.

:hug: I know that feeling and I was the mom. I wanted another girl so bad when I was pregnant with DR, but now that he's here I couldn't imagine my life with out him.

:rotfl: I say the same thing each and every time. I guess I have the best of both worlds...shopping the boys rack and the girls department. Why the heck do we have so much to begin with??? :laughing:

The sad thing in our house, I think DR has more clothes than Lindsey and the same goes for shoes. The boy LOVES his shoes and has to make sure he matches at all times. :eek:

I know exactly how you feel, all the new babies in my family at the moment are boys and we need some girls!

Holy carp! :eek:
No as CE said Holy Cod ;)

Jim told Jim that it wasn't the real Santa becasue he didn't have boots on, he only had covers over his shoes. That must just be one of Santa's helpers:lmao:
Awww bless!

Won golf again, but it was 2 against 2 and 1 of the other team had hurt her back so just walked :confused3 So if we had of lost it would have meant we played really bad :rotfl2: Tomorrow is packing/cleaning day and I have loads to do :sad2:

Oh and because of Boo's liking of the Christmas tree we close the lounge door if we go out, well I come home after being out for about 7 hours to hear squeeking and I'd only locked her IN the lounge rather than out of it :sad2::rotfl2: Luckily she hadn't done anything and the tree was still in 1 piece but really :rotfl2:

Hit enter too fast...

Nothing much going on in our world today. It's cold and snowing and I don't want to go anywhere.

I have some laundry to do and DR has been have a watching every movie we own kind of day. So far he's watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua and is now watching The Aristrocats. He wants Cars on next and after that The Incredibles. Hey at least it keeps him busy and out of my hair.

It looks like the Steelers are playing tonight. I have no idea what to make for dinner since I'm sure my dad and brother will be going someplace else to watch and it'll be the kids and I. I'm really feeling like tacos though but don't want to mess with all the veggie cutting. I hate that part! LOL

I still haven't heard from my ex and what he wants to do with the kids for Christmas. I e-mailed him the other day and saw that he read it but never replied. I called him and all I get is his voicemail. He has a week left and I need to know so I can start packing for the them. UGH...I hate divorce and having to share the kids. Of course the other alternative was staying married to him and I'm glad that we aren't. :laughing:

OK everyone...hope y'all have a good Thursday. I'm sure I'll be back around later in the day!

No as CE said Holy Cod ;)

::yes:: :rotfl:

Won golf again, but it was 2 against 2 and 1 of the other team had hurt her back so just walked :confused3 So if we had of lost it would have meant we played really bad :rotfl2:

Congrats! ;)

Way to look for the bright side! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: Seriously, :hug:.

****************************************************
I went and played fun tennis class, came home and ate (no breakfast, bad me) and now I've just been sitting. I guess I did talk to my mom for a bit. :lmao:

I also printed my Christmas card labels, as the cards are supposed to show up today. I need to find a good pen, though - I probably need silver or something. I might still have some scrapbooking pens that would work. Hmmm. I always feel that since I use computer labels, I should sign them (I don't judge the preprinted ones, really, it's just an "in my own head" kind of thing. :rotfl:) So, I sign them, but then with the photo cards, often a normal pen doesn't work. :confused3

D went to the gym and just worked out whilst I was playing tennis, and I did stop and find him before I left, but he's still not home. It leads me to believe he must have gone to Panera or the library to work, I just didn't realize he was doing that. I've kind of been waiting around, thinking he'd be home - but now realize it's been nearly 2 hours since I saw him, so he's probably not coming back here for now. :rotfl2:

I think I need to go do some laundry and such. BBL - have a good lunch! ;)

:wave2: The tree and KC look great! That's so cool that he dontated the hair. Was it to locks for love?

Actually he sent it to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths. It's mainly for wigs fr cancer patients. Locks of Love apparently sells some of the hair for profit and he felt better about sending it somewhere that would use it all for someone's benefit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well a weird nap yesterday made us sleep late today but I am hoping to get to Target/Pathmark this afternoon. They are next to each other, so it's a nice easy trip. Maybe do Laundry. I did the wrapping tho, just have cards left.
Have a great day everyone!
I can't believe it - I just lost 3 days worth of quotes!! :headache::headache: ... since I don't have time to redo it all - the fews things I remember....
Janet - I cannot believe the story of your school event - :headache:. Glad the HAS President stuck up for you!
Kat - hope your back is feeling better!! KC's new hair looks great - and what a great gift he's made!
Jo - re the kitty being locked in with the tree - you sure dodged a bullet on that one - or should I say dodged a Boo!!
Hi everyone else:wave2:
-----------------
Hope everyone is well! I did my first training presentation at work yesterday and it went very well (whew!) I have to do one more next week, but having gotten through one I'm feeling better about it. People seemed to be interested and I got a lot of positive feedback afterward so that made me feel better (and apparently, I'm a comedian :rotfl2:)
I think I mentioned awhile back I was going to see a one-man showing of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dicken's great-great-grandson at Byer's Choice on Saturday. Wouldn't you know, my uncle's mother up and pass away and of course the funeral is on Saturday. She lived to the ripe old age of 100! I hadn't seen her in years, but I was just thinking about her the other day and wondering how she was doing and thinking, she's going to outlive all of us. I hear my uncle is taking it pretty well (he was a mess when my grandmother and grandfather - his in-laws - were passing, so I thought he'd really be a basket-case). He took good care of her though and never missed a day seeing her since she'd been in nursing care, so he should have no regrets. So, of course I will be at the funeral most of the day on Saturday. I was able to switch my ticket to the Friday night show and now DH is able to come with me, so it will be fine. I'm taking off a few hours early Friday anyway to get the, hopefully, last of the Christmas shopping done. Still haven't wrapped a thing though!
Happy Thursday everyone!
Oops! :rotfl2: Where is Boo going whilst you're in WDW?
My friend over the road is feeding her, she'll get a bit lonely though :sad1: Oh and I hope you find the right pen :rotfl2:
Jo - re the kitty being locked in with the tree - you sure dodged a bullet on that one - or should I say dodged a Boo!!
or a poo :rotfl2:
