Oh and tin foil does not stop cats climbing Christmas trees :rotfl2: She is up it constantly and we have to now keep the lounge door shut with her the other side :sad2:
:rotfl: You are so right! Poor kitty. Won't she just sit in David's lap whilst in the lounge?

LOOKIE MY TICKER!!!
:cool1:

It is snowing again! :sad1:
 I hope not too much.

I've been playing on www.ancestor.com this morning---in 1 hour, I have traced my ancestors back to 1590....they were named Thomas Edwards and lived in Yorkshire England! I even saw his immigration certificate where he came to the US!! So far, I haven't traced any royal blood....which is probably why they came to America! But I'm still looking! It's really neat---and I've just done one side so far.
That sounds cool. :thumbsup2

I had a really good time with my friend last week, but boy do her kids whine. I know kids do this, but when Reid whines, my sister tells him he needs to use his big boy voice instead and he stops. I thought I might be out of line if I told them to use their big girl voices. :rolleyes1 We did have a good time at the Christmas party, but never made it to the Osborne lights. One of the kids was sick, so we decided to skip it.

I forgot to say that I worked out this morning. << That was me... Well, maybe I smiled less. ;)

I bought the new Biggest Loser 12 week Base Camp DVD today. I was sweating like crazy. I'm hoping to FINALLY get myself in shape. I've been busy for so many years taking care of everyone else that it's finally my turn. :thumbsup2

You could have plugged your ears and told them you're not allowed to hear whining. :rotfl2:

I have very little patience for other people's kids. Not a fan. That's weird, right? I do love my friend's kids, but not really anyone else. :confused3 I guess it comes from too many years as a teacher. :teacher:

Cool! So you like that site? I have a lot of documentation already on my family, but I'd like to see if I can dig further and need a good source.

:lmao: Dawn beat me to it - I feel exactly the same way! I've never been into kids; didn't like baby dolls, never babysat, etc. I like Leo and some kids of friends, but not much more than that. I know, nice right?!

I did manage to get Thanksgiving WDW pics loaded though, so I'll try to post some here in a bit. :thumbsup2

I got them both a t-shirt, hoodie, bag and purse/wallet I couldn't believe how much stuff I got for $108 :thumbsup2

Uh...why did Mr Leed put his castle so far away from his kingdom?? Or did he own it all back then?

And breaking ancestral news (that sounds wrong somehow)

I have located a SIR somebody back in the 1500s which I'm sure puts me somewhere in line to the throne, right?? (don't correct me on this!)

It's really reasonable. So, you're not mad at me for helping Jess fall in love with them now, are you? :flower3:
No not at all, it means I actually have something to buy them :rotfl2:

Thanks for the geography lesson:thumbsup2

Mom says I need to trace my step dad's family---many were bank robbers!

I have a great great (great?) uncle who was living at the boarding house (Mary Surratt's house) where the conspiracy to kill Lincoln was devised. They nevver could prove if he was involved or not:rolleyes1

Sure! Do we want to do Christmas tours of our home againt his year?

++++++++++++++++++++

Just waiting for Jim and Jimmy to get home from Jimmy's doctor therapist appointment. Took a bit longer than normal becasue she had to fill out a form for me for work so they don't give me a hard time taking off to take him to appointments. It's a PITA!

No plans for the evening. Just chilling out and relazing. Tomorrow is book fair day, so I have to be at the school by 8:30. Kids start coming down at 9:00, I think:confused: Guess I will find out more when I get there.

I'm sure I will check back in later!:goodvibes

Hey TE, part of my Dad's family came from Lancashire, that makes us neighbors. Most of the family is from Ireland but there is that line of Watsons from Lancashire....

So it's friggin cold here, I want to move to FL, I'm thinking maybe tomorrow.

UGH I hate winter! How many days until Spring?

So I love listening to the 24 hour Christmas music with a few notable exceptions:

-Auld Lang Syne a.k.a the adultery song, this is not a Christmas carol, just because he meets up with his ex on Christmas eve while buying booze does not = Christmas Carol

-Last year I gave you my heart. Guess what George, I would have given it away too. She made the right call (or he made the call, whatever)

Other than that I happily listen all day long through head phones at work. Gotta love internet radio!

Sorry, I am just sick of those 2 songs.

Sounds good, except mom said it's cold there;)

Too many!

ITA!:thumbsup2

Good way to drown out the drama too;)

Mo you do know that The War of the Roses was between the House of York and the House of Lancaster!!!! :confused3If you want to settle it the same way you have to marry one of TE's Uncles:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm headed to Target too, CE. Maybe I'll se you there!

I couldn't find you! :sad2: :rotfl: Glad Camryn's better, though.

Sounds lovely and how much snow do you have????

It was probably around 2 inches. It's gone from the roads, but there's still some in the yard.

Glad she's on the mend and if you see CE give her a hug from me :rotfl2:
LOOKIE MY TICKER!!!

Yippee!

It is snowing again! :sad1:

How much do you have?

For some reason when I was reading this I thought you were talking about the kids going to see a hockey game at 9PM and after they got home from that you went and cut the tree. I was thinking how the heck did they find some place opened at midnight to cut a tree down?

:rotfl2:

Ugh. Though we've never given in, ever, to Woody whining, he still tries. I don't get it. It has never, ever worked. He stops pretty quickly, though - and yes, we tell him to cut it. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping to FINALLY get myself in shape. I've been busy for so many years taking care of everyone else that it's finally my turn.

Good for you!

Yuck. But I look forward to the pictures! :)

Oh, surely. ;)

Have fun! If it works like ours, each classroom comes down at an assigned time, so as not to be overwhelmed.

Sorry, I am just sick of those 2 songs.

:rotfl: You're allowed.

Had a good time and did well at tennis, and Target was good, too!

Grocery tomorrow, and the kids' tennis, but that's really all I've got. I don't know what D is doing, but he's not flying.

We got the tree lit up and decorated - it looks good! We have a LOT of ornaments - didn't use all of them and it's still chock full. :rotfl2:

I'm loading the pictures now - I'll put them up in a few.

That is how they do it. They also have it scheduled that tomorrow is only K, 1st, and 2nd. Wednesday is 3rd, 4th and 5th, and then Thursday is 6th, 7th & 8th. Family night is for everybody and I am hoping we get a good crows for that.

Ours is like that too. I gave Jimmy quite a few ornaments to put on the tree in his room.

I'm loading the pictures now - I'll put them up in a few.

Can't wait!:thumbsup2

I read along today but forgot to hit the quote button as I went along.

Jo and Dawn it looks like you guys got some great bargins and great things at Aero!

TE that is really cool about your ancestors. My mom always said we should go back and look at her side of the family. It's pretty interesting from what I can tell. One day I'll give it a try.

Hope you have a good day at the book fair tomorrow, Janet. Will you be there all day?

CE great pics of the tree farm and of your tree. We have ours up and I took a few pics. Actually here's a link to my blog that has a few pics of the tree and house. Easier this way then messing with photobucket. LOL

http://peanutbutterpatelap.blogspot.com/

Some already saw this posted on my FB, but some didn't. Lindsey got her progress report for school today and did excellent. Straight A's and S's in all subjects. :thumbsup2 I also looked online to see if my grades were in and I was surprised to see them there as well. A in Med Asst, A- in Anat & Phys and a B+ in Med Terms. I'm really pleased with them.

The kids and I took it easy tonight. I need to finish up on some laundry tomorrow and also hit the grocery store.

Have a good night everyone!

Wow, that sucker's bright! :) Looks great! The kids are adorable.

Oh, man. I guess winter is really here. It's 23 this morning. Snow starting overnight, maybe 4-8 inches, before turning to rain in the morning - what an ugly, ugly mess. :sad2: I'd almost rather just have the snow than the sloppy slippery stuff. ;)

I don't know whether it will affect my match, school, etc. tomorrow, either - or just make it harder to do any of it. :headache:

Anyway...

Really only need to go to the grocery store today. D says he needs to work, but I don't know if that's "go to the gym, then Panera with the laptop" or if it's "go to the office and be there until 5:30" type of work. :rotfl: He's not flying, is all I know. ;)

I'm really craving the crock pot chicken & noodles, but I'd need to go to the store first and I don't know if I will have enough time to start it to have it ready in time. I guess if I go to the store around 9:00, I'd be OK. Any earlier and I'm dealing with bus/school traffic, but any later and I'd run out of time for the crock pot. Maybe I'll just do spaghetti quick after we get home from the kids' tennis lesson. We'll see how quick I am to get out the door this morning. I did shower before bed last night :rotfl: so I won't have to do much to be ready to go. ;)

BBL! Have a good one! :grouphug:
