Hi everyone!

I'm back from a great Thanksgiving trip to WDW!

So I scanned this page and sure enough I spotted that T has indeed switched from POP, I KNEW IT:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I don't have time to do a proper trip report, but I thought I would share the highlights with all of you:

Day 1 -

Left Newark around 8am and got into MCO around 10:30 or so.

Headed to DHS to park the car and head over to the Epcot resorts, on the way to the boat dock:

We headed over to the animation academy where Murph and I laughed to loud and were asked to be quiet. We drew Minnie and let's just say mine looked like crack ho Minnie:eek:

Had some time before Osborne lights so saw Muppets. Then it was time to Osborne lights and WOW!!!!!!! Loved the snow falling, nice touch.

From there we went to SSR to check in.

We were in Caourosel section. I don't think I ever knew how big SSR is, WOW!, but very pretty resort.

I'll be back (hopefully sooner than later) to post the remaining days.

Mo, it looks great! :)

Good morning...

Not much going on. My friend asked last night if I wanted to do a walk this morning, so we are doing that at 9:30.

Then, my computer is starting to be funky once again. :headache: I was sitting here just before the bus came and it just blanked out completely and refused to turn on - the light would light up for a second and then blink back out. I think it may be getting too hot? I let it sit whilst the boys got on the bus and I took the dog out, and then it started back up fine. I need to do some backups and then possibly take it in, though if I can't reproduce the problem for the tech, I don't know what they can do...

Sigh.

Anyway, I think I need to get on that - I was heading to the mall anyway for the vacuum filters, so I might as well see if I can't get this going.

Wish me luck, and have a good morning! :goodvibes

Well, I got my shopping done. I needed some jeans, and seriously Kohl's has THE best jeans for my body shape. I refuse to let my crack show and no way am I wearing "mom" jeans. I found the most perfect mid-rise jeans and I'm in heaven! :cloud9:
They sound great, buy loads :rotfl2:

Headed to DHS to park the car and head over to the Epcot resorts, on the way to the boat dock:
Love the photos Mo and welcome back :goodvibes

All my pressies are bought and except the Aero stuff that I'm getting in the US they're all wrapped :yay:

Talking of Aero I had a reply and lets just say thank goodness my sister lives in the US. They will deliver to the GF for me but will only accept US cc's or debit cards from US banks :confused: I've never had that before and have purchased stuff from other US companies such as Amazon :confused3 Anyway I just shot Em an email and she's going to phone me her details and then I can pay her :thumbsup2

Jo- I'm glad they are working it out for you. :thumbsup2

CE- There isn't a new list. I think only one person that wasn't on the list from last year wanted to participate. :confused3

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nothing exciting going on here...
Baylie's costume came last night, so that was fun. She was over the hair thing, thank goodness. :rolleyes:
Today I'm meeting a friend for lunch, so that should be fun. Yep. That's it. :lmao:
That's weird. If you ever can't get hold of Em, I trust you, just let me know. ;)
**************************************************
I guess I need to do back ups more often - I have to fill 2 DVDs just to get the stuff on iTunes since I last backed up. :rotfl2: But beyond this, I just need to copy some pictures and the Book Fair documents to the external hard drive, and I'll be all set. :thumbsup2
Remember mine kept doing that and the fan was clogged with dust, just like your vaccuum filter :rotfl2:
I appear to have missed a bunch from yesterday - only figured it out by seeing quotes I didn't remember. :lmao:
What are they? I know you're not as tall as I am, quite, but I always am looking for a good jean. :thumbsup2 Thought I had a good pair that D's mom picked up for me on our weird Oct. shopping spree, but they have some stretch and after about 2 hours, I can pull them off without unfastening them. :rotfl:
CE- There isn't a new list. I think only one person that wasn't on the list from last year wanted to participate. :confused3
OK, thanks. I actually have an idea on a picture I want to use, and D likes it too, but it's not terribly holiday-ish. :confused3
Have fun!
Remember mine kept doing that and the fan was clogged with dust, just like your vaccuum filter :rotfl2:
Oh, that's right. I'll check that first (not that backing up isn't a good idea anyway.) I'll do back ups, clean the fan, and then if it continues happening, I'll take it in. :thumbsup2 Thanks! :goodvibes
I always WANT to, but rarely do pics. You won't offend me, girl!
:goodvibes
Mine either. He's the worst usually... :rolleyes:
DOn't get me wrong...Jimmy has his moments:mad: but I know what I was like as a kid...I wouldn't wish that on anyone...including myself:lmao:
There were some TV shows, too. But yeah. I think it was the Christmas music as well. It usually lives in the external hard drive, but I moved it onto the laptop last week, and I may or may not have 18 hours of Christmas music now... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
Have fun at Book Fair! :goodvibes I am NOT losing all those documents. :scared:
That is strange. :confused3 All my pressies are bought as well and I'll be wrapping this week whilst the kids are at school. I don't tag them until xmas eve, though. :thumbsup2
Baylie's costume came last night, so that was fun. She was over the hair thing, thank goodness. :rolleyes:
Pics of the new costume?
They're the Axcess brand. Minimal stretch, relaxed fit... gotta love it! :thumbsup2
Hi Janet. :wave:
**************************************
Well today I've got loads to do. The kids have been buggin' to put the tree up, so I'll pull all the boxes today and get that started. I can't put any ornaments on until they're home, though. :rolleyes:
My troop went to the food bank last night. It was a wonderful experience for them and for me! My heart was just breaking watching all these families come in for their rations. :guilty:
Gotta get the kids off to school... BBL!
The Christmas party was fun but busier than I would have thought for a Tuesday the first part of December. :confused3 Today we're going to the GF for lunch and to check out the decorations. Jo, I wish you were going to be there too. :goodvibes Tomorrow I think it's the Osborne lights. :thumbsup2
AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I can't stay long, but wanted to report that I'm alive at least, lol! My work computer bit the dust so I'm borrowing one and can't save anything to it, which makes life interesting and DISing all but impossible.
Our Thanksgiving trip was... a trip. Lots of lows and mediums, but few really high points. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't stellar either. I think I really need a week off - no WDW, no nothing, just being home and relaxing.
Anyway, here's a quick rundown:
*Gramma spent one night on the awesome Doubletree Suites bed and decided she preferred the lumpy, bumpy sofabed. (Recall that this is the woman who complained so about the nice sofabeds at DVC?) But she was fairly well-behaved.
*Dbletree was okay. 2 rooms were nice, as was full cable TV. But the bathroom needs to be gutted; tub wouldn't drain, vent fan didn't work and it was just plain worn. Beds were soooo comfy; why doesn't everyone do the faux-down comforter sandwiched between sheets?! Service was superb, like how WDW used to be. It was a PITA to get to and from, though it only added maybe 10 minutes to what a commute form CBR runs. There are just too many signals along the DTD road.
*Parks were crowded but manageable. IF we got there at rope drop and stuck with a plan. On Fri. we did neither, entering DHS around 11am... on a UG "Worst" day. Leo only wanted to do TSM, so we got in the line with a posted wait of 90 minutes. 2 hours later, I bailed and went in search of a latte and cookie, but Leo and Gramma waited it out - 3 flipping hours! :faint: Shame on us for not doing what we knew we should have, but SHAME on WDW for posting such hideously wrong wait times. :mad:
*Guests were atrocious. About the worst behavior overall I've ever seen. Lots of pushing and shoving to get in front of others, obnoxious drunks at EP, rude comments to CM's - just a lot of ugliness. :sad2:
*Free Dining is the devil. That's all.
*Sat. night with my DIS Peeps never happened due to a Leo-bathroom incident. :crying: I'm still sorry guys!
Am I glad we went? Yeah, it was good to be get away from some of the insanity in my life lately. Will I try again next year? I really don't know. If I do, it'll be onsite accommodations and at least one night less; 4 nights seems to be 1 too many for Gramma. ;)
Gotta run - hope to be back soon! :grouphug:
Too late. :headache:
Oh, no. :hug:
Are they long enough for me? ;)
Well today I've got loads to do. The kids have been buggin' to put the tree up, so I'll pull all the boxes today and get that started. I can't put any ornaments on until they're home, though. :rolleyes:
I'm supposed to be finding a place to cut one down this weekend. We've tried the last couple of years but ended up doing the lot search because the trees weren't great. :confused3
Yikes - sorry about the weekend. :hug: Funny about Gramma and the bed...
I hope everything clears up soon. :hug: again.
**********************************************************
We had a great walk (we walk near her house, it's over 3 miles that we do, and very hilly. Jo would be proud. ;)) and then I went to get the vacuum filters. I did well with that, but then tried on several pairs of jeans throughout the mall, no luck. The one pair that I liked for fit at the Gap, I didn't like the color they had in stock. But since I know they fit, I may check online for more options. It's the style of my current faves, so I know they work well - I was more just checking to be sure the fit hadn't changed as so often seems to happen. :rolleyes: Anyway, I walked out without buying anything, so I guess that's probably good.
Then, my cousin finally called back and we've got names for that exchange, so I can really shop!
Of course, the call came after I left the mall... ;) Seriously, though, I got my cousin's DH and D got my uncle, so I wouldn't have bought anything today anyway.
I have a blazing headache :headache:, so I'm signing off for a bit. I've been popping Advil all day, but it may be time for the heavy migraine meds (or past time, sadly.) I didn't want to take them this morning because they do make me a little sleepy, and I wanted to do my stuff.
BBL! :wave2:
If you need me to order let me know...I trust you pay me;) Then I can just have it delivered to my parents and then have my mom drop it off to you while you are there.:goodvibes
Awww thanks :goodvibes
Oh no Rosie, get well soon :hug:
Too late. :headache:
Uh oh :hug:
That is strange. :confused3 All my pressies are bought as well and I'll be wrapping this week whilst the kids are at school. I don't tag them until xmas eve, though. :thumbsup2
It is isn't it :confused: The more I think about it the stranger it is seeing that when I'm in the States or France, Spain etc we use our cc with no problems!!! So how do you remember which pressies are for whom? :rotfl2:
The Christmas party was fun but busier than I would have thought for a Tuesday the first part of December. :confused3 Today we're going to the GF for lunch and to check out the decorations. Jo, I wish you were going to be there too. :goodvibes Tomorrow I think it's the Osborne lights. :thumbsup2
Sounds lovely, all the Moms Panel, including 11 of my panel fly in Friday :sad1:
Anyway, here's a quick rundown:
I hope the crowds have all gone when we get there :hug:
We had a great walk (we walk near her house, it's over 3 miles that we do, and very hilly. Jo would be proud. ;))
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Hope your headache goes soon :hug:
It is absolutely pouring here, I just did the Guides run, we share with 2 girls up the road. Well when it's them taking I always make sure the girls are ready by the door, shoes on etc but every week we have to go and knock for them and then they have to get ready :headache: Well as it was pouring, honestly our road looks like a river I sat in the car and kept flashing the lights as I could see someone in the kitchen but they never came so Ellie got out and then yep the girls weren't ready :headache: Anyway they're bringing home so I don't have to go out again :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
So how do you remember which pressies are for whom? :rotfl2:
I use all red bows for Maddie and green for Evan. Everyone else's gift get labeled. My kids are nosey and they'd crack them open if I put there names on there. :sad2:
Does anyone know anyone going on a Disney cruise soon-ish...before the year ends? Stupid me didn't buy a Disney cruise scrapbook thinking I could find a better deal online, but noooooooooo there's nothing out there. :sad:
If so lemme know please!
I'm sure I could go on the cruise threads, but I'd rather not ask a complete stranger.....IKWM
I'm going mid January, but I guess that doesn't help. But, if you find you still need someone, just let me know!
Wow. Mads and Ellie must be twins. I'm having similar problems with Maddie and she's only 8! :faint: I've had to really come down hard on her to the point of tears (her's not mine!). She moody and obnouxious (sp?) and I'm ready to kill her sometimes. :teeth: Can I send her to England? :lmao:
Only if I send Ellie to you, I'm sure an 8y/o Maddie would be far easier :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I was going to say - can you switch?:rotfl2: The only other thing I can say is - they do grow up! (well, generally...)
Well, I got my shopping done. I needed some jeans, and seriously Kohl's has THE best jeans for my body shape. I refuse to let my crack show and no way am I wearing "mom" jeans.
:rotfl2::rotfl2: I know what you mean! I've practically given up on jeans for now.
Hi everyone!
I'm back from a great Thanksgiving trip to WDW!
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing the photos. Someday I will get to WDW at Christmas time in person, but seeing the photos is great!
CE- There isn't a new list. I think only one person that wasn't on the list from last year wanted to participate. :confused3
I think that must be me.
Good morning. Crazy at work, but wanted to stop in and say hi to the Fockers:goodvibes I miss chatting more oftern during the day...stupid new job:mad:
I know what you mean! I am so busy I barely have time to log on! :confused:
--------------------
Hope everyone is well! I hope I'm not coming down with something - I developed a slight headache at work yesterday and it got worse during the night (and then there was the banging in the heat register at 3am, but that's a whole other story :rolleyes:). Still had it when I got up - whole right side of my face hurt. It wasn't quite bad enough to stay home, and after some Excedrin, it's now down to a dull roar. Now, I'm thinking my throat is starting to get sore (but I'm not sure yet - hope not:sad2:). I can't get sick now- too much to do! At work and at home. I have to give a presentation at work next week that I keep procrastinating on writing (can you tell, I don't want to do it???) and we have to get our decorations up this weekend, so sickness isn't an option right now. Maybe in January :rotfl:
I did pretty well on Cyber Monday getting some Christmas shopping done. Got Ariel two pairs of Gap jeans - on sale and no shipping, and got DH some things from Kohls - again on sale, with another 20% discount and free shipping! That's two stores I now don't have to go to in person :woohoo: So, I've got my list made for the rest of the stuff I have to get so I'm feeling much less stressed about it all. It's amazing how quickly stuff comes in the mail these days too.
I ordered our Christmas cards - I wanted to do a photo of DD Ariel and puppy Lilly dressed in Christmas outfits, but it never happened. So, when Lilly's day camp had a Picture with Santa Day I jumped on that and our card is just Lilly with Santa. It's cute - and it's done! I didn't even do cards last year (DH wasn't too happy about that....ummmm, what about you doing them dear??). Since I don't want to get dropped off of anyone's Christmas list, I want to get this year's cards out pronto :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Happy Wednesday everyone!
