Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

The kid are out in our neighborhood !!The traditional chilli and grilled cheese is under way !!! When they've done around here we will head to another part of town !!!:rotfl2:This is revenge for all the Trick orTreaters who usedto get bussed into our neighborhood !! :lmao:

It looks like I am now going in Feb to MEET Jordan, and Winkers !!!Not sure I'll recognise her not FLAT!!:rotfl2:

Ellie wants to trick or treat later, I've told Jess she's too big now but I'm hoping it rains so no-one goes, bad Mother I know :rotfl2:
Did you end up going? :rotfl:

I'm also going to look for a halloween pin and scarf somewhere, maybe I can get them on sale?
I found a cute scarf at Dillards or maybe Stein Mart.

We have spent the morning making our Christmas list - the Toys R Us Big Book of Toys came today:eek:
I'm glad Reid doesn't know about that yet! :rotfl2: Although my sis is very adamant about not getting him too much much to the chagrin of her MIL.

It's raining here too and if it weren't for my dad taking my kids out trick-or-treating I think I'd be having second thoughts as well since we've already done it once.
I don't blame you! :goodvibes

See, I like trick or treating, because we all go around with our neighbors with a wagon full of beer. :rotfl:
I'm going to suggest that to my sis next year. :thumbsup2

Reid has a monkey costume to wear, but since he didn't nap, he can't go trick or treating. Mean sister, I know. Now that he's in his big bed, he keeps getting up during nap time. Uncle Mooch did request that I make a Halloween basket to take over there with a few pieces of candy, a Mickey bracelet- he loves a bracelet I have because it's bumpy but I don't want him to break it, so I figure if he breaks this one, no big deal- and a book, which I'm sure I will be reading over and over and over. :rotfl:

Have fun tonight and hopefully the rain will hold off. Go Phllies and Vols! :cheer2:

Neither of those stores here!

Awww, poor kiddo. Jimmy had a hard time adjusting to the bed too. He'll get used to it! IT's the new found freedom!:goodvibes

::yes:: Although, my kids never napped again after they moved out of the crib.

Well, we're going out. His temp has held steady in the 99's all afternoon, and again, he's got his face covered anyway. ;)

If it starts to look dicey, we're never really more than 10 minutes from the house. :thumbsup2

We've got our candy ready and the pumpkins can be lit! It's still 69, so that's nice! No coats under costumes this year! :rotfl:

CE--hope your little one is feeling better!

,,,,and we took a wagon around trick or treating in Ft worth too! :thumbsup2

No kids to trick or treat this year....Ab went to party and BA is having friend over. They wanted to go to haunted forest but it's really raining. :confused3

Got a crock pot of pork chops and potatoes going--smells good!

Boots is losing hair over his eyes--any ideas why?? He seems fine. :confused3

I think I must be hormonal today---I totally lost it at cheer practice!:flower3:
i had been annoyed that they hadn't finished the music and our first comp is 12/12....and I heard the mix today...and it was really bad. Neither of the coaches have done all stars before which is VERY different from school cheerleading. The music must be 2:30...fast....with professional voice overs. NOT home made. I pay $110 per month and I really feel that they can buy professional music....and I said just that.... But I could have been nicer about it....cheer moms/pageant moms/ dance moms---any other moms that get so into it at times that we occasionally lose it??

I get it, TE. We don't pay all the money we do and spend countless hours at practices and competitions for someone not to know what they are doing. :headache:

:hug:Thanks---BA said some of the other girls had felt the same way about the music but hadn't got anywhere by speaking up...and I may not get anywhere either....but we'll see....

One of the girls said "wow. Beth Ann--I like your momma--she's only about 3 feet tall, but she speaks her mind!"'
(good thing I bring them cupcakes every week!);)

All done Trick or Treating !!We went with our neighbor and her boys !!! Sean is 3 and the 2nd house we went to a guy jumps outta the house with weird eyes and yells the older kids were laughing..But poor Sean was traumtized!!:scared1: The guy felt so bad as he didn't see him before he did it:sad2:

They al had a good ime though even sean who eventually got over it:thumbsup2

Happy Halloween Everyone!
I hope you all had or are having a fantastic time. Like Lori said it is going to be a chilly one here in Indiana and Ohio. I think the mall is doing there candy give-away tonight so that should help keep some out of the cold.

DENISE that’s cool that you got 3 years worth of free oil changes! Good luck with finding some discounted Halloween accessories.

ROSIE, I’ll try to get to you TR tonight. When are you starting the next PTR?

LORI, I’d like to see that gingerbread house.

CE, I like your Trick or Treating idea with the wagon!

TE, sorry about the music. Have you ever coached? Or thought about coaching?

Hi Kristel :wave2:

Jimmy had a great time trick or treating, before the rains came. We finished up about 7:45 when the rains game. Enough that the game just started at 9:30, but I don't think I am going to make it...I'm tired!

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween.:goodvibes

Glad he got his Trick or Treating in before it started pouring! Halloween was a real bust here - our doorbell rang twice - for a total of 7 kids. We have bags and bags of candy left. Just what I need :rotfl2:

We just got back from picking grandson Rick up for the night. He's got a little fever so isn't feeling so great. He and granddad are on the couch watching the game (Phils are doing pretty good right now!) But I'm with you Janet, I'm exhausted and going to bed!

Good night all!

We had a total of 65 ToT and at the end I was just giving handfuls of the stuff out. Between all the stuff the kids would be bringing home and the stuff they already had we didn't need anymore to add to it.

**********************************************

We had a pretty good day and night. My dad took the kids out and they were out for about 45 minutes of the hour they had. Afterwards we got in our PJ's and watched the Princess Bride...I love that movie! The kids are now in bed and I'm just relaxing some and doing laundry.

Here are a few pics from today/tonight...

They said the owner wanted them to mix it themselves--one of the coaches has spent weeks trying to learn software. :headache: I told them teams BUY their music in the summer. I'm sure I'll talk to the owner next week...surprised she hasn't already called me. (Notice I'm not posting this on FB---just too close to home there...literally!)

So glad to have you all---Daran doesn't understand all my mommy problems sometimes! (and SOMETIMES, he says I over react...! :confused3;))

How old is Barbie??

Hi, all!

Trick or treating went well until it started to rain on us just as we were finishing up. That wasn't in the brochure. :rotfl: Oh, well. The beers helped. :lmao:

We came home, D went to the neighbors' (whose kids are too old to go out) and I got the kids to bed. I ate a little mac & cheese w/tuna and then went next door, too - the other side neighbors were also there, which was nice. I love my street. :goodvibes I know that the clocks are changing, but I'm just wiped, so I headed home. I felt not so anti-social as my other neighbor left, too. The men are still outside with their beers. ;)

The cat next door decided that he loved me. I like cats, but my eye is nearly swollen shut due to allergies. Sigh.

And, yeah, I don't know much else. It sounds like most people are having a nice evening. :thumbsup2 I bought way too much candy. We live on an offshoot street of a "loop" and so nearly no one comes down our way, though the loop gets busy. Sigh. I don't need all this stuff as temptation! :rotfl:

Have a great night. Janet & Denise, sorry about how the game just turned. Yikes.

See that cute little furball of white and black sitting on the table on the box...well she ain't so cute! That darn cat bit me tonight! We were watching a movie after ToT and she was sitting on me. DR was doing something to her and all of a sudden she bit down on my arm and would NOT let go. She broke through the skin and it hurt like heck! I'm just hoping it doesn't get infected. :headache:

Love the pics! I've never made a halloween house!

How old is Barbie??

Thanks for the pic love. :goodvibes I've never even made a gingerbread house let alone something like this. I bought it as a kit from Walmart. I have yet to taste it though to see if it's any good.

And Barbie is somewhere around 12-13. She's gone deaf and I'm sure is almost blind but she's still hanging in there. She was a stray we found on the side of the road one day and we adoped her. That was oh....10 years ago. She's a really good dog.

Oh no...sorry about the eye. Will the swelling go down by tomorrow?

And I know how ya feel about the candy. I was handing ours out by the handful at the end of our ToT because I really didn't want all the extra. We live right on the main drag of our town so we get very few ToT's as well.

OK...I'm done for the night. Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour!

Good Morning All !! Quick post before going to work !! I will be starting aother PTR next week !! I already have some plans in the making with Jordan and Winkers I am gonna help Jordan be a drunk magnet My part wil be the designated driver:rotfl2:Winkers may convince me to try Greek food !!!!:cool1:
So I am psyched !!

Sounds as though everyones trick or treating went well and Lori that house is fantastic, the kids really did a great job!

TE I can't imagine you getting cross ;) :rotfl: You tell em though especially when it's that expensive!

Ellie ended up going T&Ting for about 1.5 hours, it stopped raining, luckily for me though the friend she went with had her 16 y/o sister and 15 y/o brother supervising so I didn't have to go :thumbsup2

Emma my sister is running in the NY marathon right now, looks as though the weather is fine so that's good, hope she finishes :thumbsup2

It's been really horrid here today, the rain was so heavy so we couldn't do anything so I made David help me strip the wallpaper off of the last wall in our bedroom, yes I have been doing that bedroom for months now :rotfl: Hopefully now the dirty job is done it's only painting left which is pretty quick. At this rate though it should be done by about August :rotfl:

Lazy day here. The boys woke up at 6:30, of course, after the time change.

Woody's been sticking to about a 100 temp with the Motrin, so I think tomorrow's probably out for school. We're supposed to not send them until they're fever-free for 24 hours. Flame if you must, but I fudge it down to about 18 - I hate to keep them home, bored silly, if they're fine the afternoon before, but weren't in the morning. However, he's still hot, and without the Motrin it goes up higher, so...

D says he'll stay home so I can still go to tennis practice, which is nice.

We are getting ready to take down a tall bush by the side of the house. D couldn't get the chainsaw to start, but I hear it just got going, so I have to go help. It's taller than the house, on the corner, impossible to trim and ugly to boot - it needs to go. I need to help guide it away from power lines, and, well, my bedroom. :rotfl2:

Hope you're all having a good day! :grouphug:

Jim says the same thing about me:confused3

=====================

Good afternoon all! Soccer this morning. Not many kids showed up so they just did drills and played one short game. Then I ran and did the food shopping. Now finishing up the last of the laundry!:laundy: Jim and Jimmy are playing Transformers and watching the Eagles game.

I go back to work tomorrow, so I want to try and get some last minute stuff done today. My next job is cleaning the bathroom. Then I want to take the Halloween decorations down and put the Thanksgiving decorations up. We'll see if that gets done or gets pushed off til next weekend.

Hope everyone has a good day!:goodvibes
