Hello. I'm alive and sort of well. Got a HUGE patch over my right eye. I'm seeing Dr. Seigel later today to have him remove the patch and see how he did. It hurts right now, but not unbearable.

It's nice to have NotBob around to help out. I'm just resting and drinking my coffee.

Hope everyone has a good day. Sorry didn't quote more than this current page, it's exhausting to read. :sick: Thank you to everyone who was sending good thoughts.

Take it easy Mel :hug:

We get 15 sick days per year. If we don't use them we can carry them over into the next year. WE can carry up to 200 days. WHen you retire, they give you cash for 30% of those days. It's a nice perk. However, you have those people who figure those sick days are extra vacation days. I know people who are there 25 years and don't have a sick day to their name.
It doesn't work like that here, we don't have a set amount of sick days, but will need to get a Dr's note for more than a few in a row. If yu're sick too long you go on statuatory sick pay!

I saw but I'm afraid Margaret beat you to #1 spot :rotfl2:

It's 2pm and Em still isn't here :sad2: I need to leave at 4pm and the girls don't get here till 4.30pm :confused3

Not much else planned for the rest of the week. Need to do :laundy: and clean my bathroom. Once that is done all the fall cleaning is done:woohoo:

Woohoo! I need to get on "company detail" today, as tomorrow's busier.

Since we celebrated our anniversary last weekend, yesterday (our actual anniv) we got takeout! That's what happens after 12 years. :rotfl:

Happy Anniversary! :)

Just a drive by...I'm paying some bills before we have some dinner and hang out together. Things are really good except for the large purple elephant in the room that I know about but KC is unaware of me knowing...make sense? I am pent up and getting fed up he isn't coming clean. I don't know what to do.

So, you know something he doesn't know you know, and won't tell you? :hug:

Thanks everyone! :grouphug: DD is doing fine. Her body aches, she still has a big bump on her head, and she is having trouble eating, but otherwise ok. She is going to school tomorrow but no physical activity.

I'm glad she's doing OK. :hug:

Jess has just texed me saying her friend is giving away kittens and can she have one :eek::rotfl2:

And??? :rotfl:

Glad you're doing at least "OK" - good thoughts heading your way for your appointment. :hug:

Hope everyone has a great day!

You, too!

On my way...

************************************************
D is working from the library/Panera today and since Panera is in the same strip mall as Target, he's making my errand run there for me, too.

Which is nice, but leaves me with nothing much outside the house to do today :rotfl:, so I think I'll run to school briefly, get the form I forgot to do last week, and see how the teacher sign-ups are going. :thumbsup2

Then, I need to start picking up and so forth for MIL's visit. Once again, I hesitate to do too much too soon, as dog hair and kids will just mess it up before Thursday, but she does come Th. morning just after my tennis class, so last minute stuff is fairly impossible, and tomorrow morning, at least, is busy.

So, I'll likely be around as I clean, because we all know how that goes. :rotfl2:

Have a good morning! :grouphug:

Well with the 3 night the only theme night is pirate night and dressing up is not required, in fact most people don't. No formal night on the 3 nighter so just pack "cruise casual" clothing. So dresses/skirts/pants for the girls and pants and nice button-up or polo type shirts for the guys. You will be in ports both of your full days so the onboard activities will be fairly limited but there will still be some for those who do not get off the ship.

Here is a great website which has loads of info including navigators for all the different cruises.

http://www.*******************/navigate.htm

Darn it! The link won't work. Just google Platinum Disney Club Disney Cruise Line Information

The activity sheets are called navigators and there will be a link on the main page for them.
Thank you so much, Lessa! I've been overwhelmed trying to learn everything I need to know. :headache:

Thanks everyone! :grouphug: DD is doing fine. Her body aches, she still has a big bump on her head, and she is having trouble eating, but otherwise ok. She is going to school tomorrow but no physical activity.
I'm so glad she's improving. :hug:

I'm back from the beach and was quite depressed this morning that I had no ocean to look at during breakfast. I also missed not having Reid around in the morning. We had a really nice, relaxing time, but I wish Mitch could have come too. Pesky work! :rolleyes:
I love the beach... I think in 2011 we're going to do a week long trip to South Padre. We rented our points to T3 and plan on staying close to home. :thumbsup2

Morning! Leo and I hit AK on Sat... and it was actually FUN! You know how I detest that place, but I think I found how we can best enjoy it: NO PLAN. For real, we just did stuff as we thought of it, wandered a lot and had a darned good time. :thumbsup2 It helped that it was hot-but-comfortable thanks to a good breeze.

Yesterday we got the fixings for Leo's cowboy costume and I cooked. You heard me, I COOKED! I can't find my frozen veggie meatballs anymore, so I decided to make my own. I only buy free-range, organic meat so I got a package of ground turkey and whipped up my very first batch of turkey meatballs. They're in the freezer, ready to toss in the micro next time we have pasta. :banana:

I changed barns with Leo and have my first riding lesson at the new place tonight. Wish me luck - maybe I'll finally get to canter (go fast)! ;)
I always use turkey in place of ground beef now too. It's so yummy!
I'm glad you had fun at AK. It seems like we only spend a morning there every trip, but I think we'll end up with a whole day this March,

Thats great Dawn!! Does Kirt not know about the cruise portion? I would love it!! :thumbsup2
He doesn't know. He gets stressed about money, so I'm stashing $100 a week away and the $ for renting our points so I can tell him on Christmas it's already paid for. :thumbsup2

It's raining again, I was meant to play golf but called and cancelled, she wasn't happy and is still going to play :sad2: if you get caught in the rain fair enough but to start in it is just silly!!!!! Em is arriving about lunch time with the boys and then I'm going to pick David up from work to go into London to watch the basketball. Jess has just texed me saying her friend is giving away kittens and can she have one :eek::rotfl2:
Just say NO! I wish I could find someone to take my cat. :sad2:

Yes, she is. I love my Focker friends but Dawn holds a special spot.

========================

I am on my second load of laundry. I have to run to CVS and pick up my prescription. Other than that I have nothing planned and I am bored. I may run to the book store to see if they have any Books on CD for Jimmy. He listens to them to go sleep and he is getting bored with what we have becasue he has listened to them a million times!

Thank you so much, Lessa! I've been overwhelmed trying to learn everything I need to know. :headache:

Just try and relax, you have plenty of time until the cruise and it is meant to be relaxing! The first thing I would tackle is figuring out what excursion you want yo do in Nassau or if you even want to do an excursion.

Don't worry about the dinners and onboard activities so much, you will find that things just happen in their own flow once you are onboard the ship.

/
Oh, I didn't realized you cooked them first! :rotfl: But when I used pre-cooked frozen meatballs, I just put them in a saucepan with a teeny bit of water to thaw and reheat.
:rotfl2: Yep, I cooked them in olive oil before freezing. :thumbsup2

Good luck. WEre you not happy with the other place?
Thanks... I needed it, as you'll see! :rolleyes: I like the other place, but niether of us was getting much actual instruction. Which has turned out to be a problem. :headache:

:thumbsup2great on the riding!! I play with my horsies more than I ride, but I'd like to ride more--they get very spoiled and self centered when they aren't ridden much.
::yes:: I've seen that, too. I like just being around them; they soothe me! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! :grouphug: DD is doing fine. Her body aches, she still has a big bump on her head, and she is having trouble eating, but otherwise ok. She is going to school tomorrow but no physical activity.
Aw, I'm glad she's recovering! :hug:

How long is the drive to WDW for you? I think I remember something about 1 and a half to 2 hours?
Yep, it's usually about 1.5 hours.
let them simmer in some red sauce. :thumbsup2I`m married to a very italian family..;)
LOL, I'M a very Italian family, too! But there just isn't time to defrost them in the sauce on weekdays, though that's my preferred method.

Hello. I'm alive and sort of well. Got a HUGE patch over my right eye.
And you're online?!?! :faint: Feel better! :hug:

I have been there 20 years (next month). I have been getting paid this entire time I have been out because, here's a novel concept, I use sick days for when we are sick!:eek:
Gosh, I wish we had a system like that. Ours is all one bank of hours and amounts to about 2.5 weeks a year. So, especially if you have kids, you have to decide whether to be sick or take a vacation. :sad2:

Y'know, I hadn't thought about it, but maybe that's the trick; I've always just planned a morning too and felt rushed and overwhelmed. Taking a day and meandering a lot was so much nicer!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Careful what you wish for... I did, indeed, canter - but not by choice, lol! Wow, the horse I rode last night has some get-up-and-go and took off in a canter when I wasn't ready. I'll be honest - it scared me. A lot. My adrenaline kicked into overdrive and I kind of fell apart when I got home. :sad1: But it was a good learning experience; I've found that I've been doing some things incorrectly and my new instructor will help me fix that. :thumbsup2
Meanwhile, I've had a raging sinus infection for more than a month, which wasn't helping. My balance and vision are all off; I tipped over in the stupid shower this morning! Went to the clinic and am now armed with antibiotics, so hope is in sight.
Happy Tuesday all! :grouphug:
Happy Anniversary!! :love: Wait til you see what happens after 24:rotfl2:
Next Monday I have to get a filling redone and a tooth pulled. :sad2: It's lose and my mouth is too small, so it has to go. Really? After all these years. Whatever!
So sorry, I hate dental work (but I guess it’s better than the alternative):sick:
Jess has just texed me saying her friend is giving away kittens and can she have one :eek::rotfl2:
And the answer is.......:rolleyes1
::yes:: Anytime we are out sick we have to call the Sickline. If I leave the house (to go to the doctor, grocery store, etc) I'm supposed to call too. (I forget....alot;)). It's something they put into place because there were people abusing the system, but in typical form instead of just dealing with those people we all get screwed!
What a pain!:headache:
Yeah, I'm not worrying too much about what to do when, more how to get to port and directions, what to take with me...
I think I've decided to rent a car at the airport and turn it in at CC. Then I'll get a car to go back to BLT from CC. That way we can stop and get groceries on the way back. :thumbsup2
Yikes! That would scare me too! Horses are big animals! :eek:
I'm glad you're onthe road to feeling better. :goodvibes
Dawn - CAn't you take a bus from BLT to CC????
I can, but I'd still need to rent one to get to port. It's the same price for 2 hours or 23, so I might as well get one at the airport, which is cheaper. We'll take ME back to the airport when are tripis over, though. :thumbsup2
BTW, Fockers... I have 60 more points I'm renting if anyone's interested. ;)
PSA: DISers with foggy brains due to sinus infections should not be allowed to contemplate resort changes, when said changes cost a whole lot more. Could someone talk me down from the ledge please? :rolleyes:
Umm... Let's see. Take an antibiotic and call me in the morning... :rotfl:Which trip? What are you thinking of doing?
Holly didn't make it long at school. In fact she called as soon as she got off the bus at school. Her tummy and head were hurting.....and mouth. I don't know how fast go carts go, but crashing into a wall at full speed must give the body the same jolt as an auto wreck. :confused3
