Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hi everyone! Don't have time for a proper hello, sorry. Things are nutso here, like usual. I got the proofs back from the photographer today. I was underwhelmed with what he sent me, but there are a couple that I love. I guess I just thought there'd be TONS that I'd love. Oh well. However, I rednecked one from the computer just for my Fockers.

Here you go!

Good picture!! Saw the one on FB too. Our babies are growing up...sniff!

I got our proofs back 2 weeks ago for the casual shots...I too was underwhelmed. I'll try to post a few when I can---I think I shared the link on FB to her site. The ones with her friends were cute, but we didn't like the individuals as much.

The formal ones with the drape are great---and of course more $$

We are due for our state survey anytime so I know how you feel to get it over with!! Plus CMS is changing all our MDS forms on 10/1 just for extra fun!

I'm off today!! Busy week with work and my Vanderbilt appt. So glad about my hearing results though. I went from a 60 decibel loss to under 20 which is a huge gain and puts me within normal range for that ear.:cool1:
The doctor was happy that the surgery went so well---he had to improvise with the prosthetic bone somewhat---the old bone was not calcified to the other bones at the usual places so when he cut the old bone loose, another bone came back to life! He didn't want to drill a hole into the now live bone like usual, so he had to set the new bone on top of the live one and hope they could all get along and vibrate nicely together!

They did! Plus I didn't have all the nausea and vomiting cause he didn't have to drill into that bone!

Just got the bill today too....looks like they billed around $25,000 and I owe around $500. Not bad===and actually cheaper than a new hearing aid on my part.

Morning everyone:

Mel - Like the pic of SD. Here they only do the formal pics:confused3

TE - Great news about your hearing:cool1:

Back to School Night last night. All of Jimmy's teachers said he is doing really well so far:yay:

TIred though, got home late and didn't get to sleep until almost midnight.

Scouts tonight, Popcorn Booth tomorrow, Soccer on Sunday and then off to my brothers to return his camping stuff. :faint:

Will probably be back later to check in. Have a great Friday:goodvibes

I wanted to give CBR a try, but everyone's budget wouldn't allow it plus my mom absolutely refuses to use and ECV. We are staying at ASMu in a family suite and two more rooms. Did I mention there will be 12 of us?

Glad the surgery went well! I would have had to pay a lot more with my insurance.

===============================
hey everyone! lots going on here. My store was supposed to be open Sept 1, but now it is Oct 1 and they don't even have all my walls up. I am subleasing space in a new shopping center. They are supposed to build me walls so that I look like my own store. I'm so excited! I don't have to be there all the time because they will look after my stuff, do sales, and let people drop stuff off to be embroidered. I will try to be there as much as possible, but I still want to be able to get the kids off the bus. And I don't want to work every single weekend.

I'm doing fundraising at school and the pta pres is driving me crazy. I have never worked with someone so indecisive before. She is also a micromanager - worse than any I have ever worked for. Outside of this, she is a really nice person. I'm getting multiple texts and emails from her about stuff we already discussed. She has me aggravated because we will have a meeting, make decisions, then she will send me an email, totally changing what we talked about. Uggh! She asked me to order banners for the school. I told her I was talking to someone about donating the banners and I was going to talk to them again that day (Monday) to see if they would commit. I had asked Friday and the girl I talked to was going to talk to her dh. I talked to the girl Monday afternoon and she confirmed they would donate the banners. I sent PTA Pres an email saying I got the banners donated. Next day, I get a text from her that says she got someone to donate the banners. The other girl working on the committee with me was asked to make a donation/pledge form. She did the work, showed us a mockup at a meeting this week. We made some suggestions on changes. The PTA pres then emails her that night with an attachment that is a Donation/pledge form - totally different than the one the other girl did. She was so mad. She sent PTA Pres an reply saying that it is counterproductive to have 2 people working on the same thing when it had already been discussed and approved and to do whatever she wanted. She said she wasn't going to work on the pledge form anymore.

I could go on and on.............

Okay - vent over. That felt good. Can't complain on FB because of friends that know this lady.

:dance3: Go Jimmy!

Thanks!

We have the oppostire problem with our president. She wants everyone else to do all the work but she takes all the credit. Most of us are sticking around because she is done after this year and we all have youngers kids who will be there for a while. Also, if an idea is not hers it's not a good one. WE just outvote her and do it anyway, but then she tries to take all the credit. Luckily the principal knows who is really doing everything.

Hey all. It is a beautiful sunny SAturday here. I am doing laundry....yippee:rolleyes: LAter we will be going out to sell popcorn for the scouts. Our shift is 4pm to 8pm, so we will proably grab some pizza or something for dinner.

Tomorrow we have soccer and then are heading to my brothers for the afternoon. Hunting starts next week and he needs his camping equipment back. On the plus side he got Jimmy a sleeping bag (one that can be used in temps as low as 40 below...who camps in that kind of weather:confused3) for his birthday, so that is one thing we don't have to go buy. We will start getting our own stuff now that we know Jimmy is into the camping and stuff. Lots of Christmas ideas for the relatives too;)

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Just checking in nothing much going onn here !!I am only working a few hours today at some point !!I have to do Timesheets or I wouldda taken it OFF!!!

Tomorrow is a 14 hour day sooo I need to rest up !!!:scared1:

Hello All!

A quickie before work. :lmao: As in update!

Update:

ROSIE-- Facilities had a visit from the state on the 21st. They did excellent!

JANET-- Work computers are up and running. She’s watching the Phillies. She went out to eat for a retirement party and told the boys they could fend for themselves.

DAWN -- Trying to catch up on a few things before the trip in a couple of days. She has been keeping us updated on the 'big announcement as Disney.

I have to say I am underwhelmed.

TAZ-- Will have knee surgery on Dec. 7th. Less than a month for her trip.

T -- getting geared up for the junior scouts. Evan appears to be a fashionista like his momma. He doesn’t want to wear the boy scout uniform. Maddie is doing art and very happy about it.

CE-- Head cold for a few days. Not sleeping well. Woody wants a cool hair style but hates the longer bangs that come with it.

SLATE -- Wants to know the cons of CBR. Her hair is ready for Halloween!

I think you did good by going to ASMu. CBR is huge. Internal bus is slow. Your mom would have to have an ECV.

MrsKS -- Busy, Busy. Big trip in December. Lots of work stuff happening.

JO -- and Hubby had a good spa vacation. D had a little trouble with yoga.

MEL -- Put a pic of SD up, post #3381

TE -- Says that her doctor is pleased with the outcome of the ear surgery. She is pleased to be paying very little for the whole thing.

Mdiz -- Waiting for her store to be complete. She is doing a fund raiser with an OCD that’s indecisive.

Like I said a quickie. Gotta go to work. I did purchase a new camera on-line. Pentax K-x. Nothing else exciting.

Hi, everyone!

Reading along again, but still not quoting. Don't know what's wrong with me! :rotfl2:

Miz, sorry about the PTA president. I don't get a warm fuzzy from ours, but she's pretty good overall, so whatever.

Mel, nice pic! :)

So, I'm flipping out a little. I've applied for two jobs this weekend. One's just a part time temp state testing proctor for 5 weeks in the spring, but the one I did tonight is a 25 hour/week deal at one of the local universities. I love working for universities - have done so twice in the past 3 jobs - and the hours are great, just 25 hours when you want from 7:30-2:00. Awesome! But I have no idea whether to be hopeful or not - the job market's crazy, obviously, I've not worked since 2002... Who knows? :confused3 Also, it's a 12 month position, which would make next summer a little harder with the kids, but I could figure something out, I hope.

It may not be "the thing" but the mere act of applying is really oddly scary to me!

Other than that, it's been a fine weekend. Today was a little slow and Woody got pretty bored, but... Yesterday, Buzz got asked on a playdate and Woody played with the neighbor all day, which worked out great. We watched "The Princess and the Frog" from Netflix on the Wii streaming last night, which was fun - we'd not seen it yet.

And, well... That's about it. I agreed to sub into the "up team" drills tomorrow morning, but this week is a LOT less busy than last, so far.

Hope you've all had a happy weekend, and that Monday morning treats you well! :goodvibes

Happy Monday (I think that may be an oxymoron;)). I believe Mel and Dawn are off to Disney today. Have a great time girls:goodvibes

We had a crazy weekend. Cub Scouts on Friday. Saturday was the first day of popcorn sales, so we were at the local grocery store 4pm-8pm selling popcorn. The boys (Jimmy and Tyler) did great at sold a little over $600:cool1: SUnday we had soccer and then went to my brothers for a couple of hours. We needed to give him back his camping equipment because he is hunting next weekend.

We hadn't seen them for Jimmy's birthday, so he got a little surprise when we were there. They got him his own sleeping bag for camping:thumbsup2 One less thig I have to go get:yay:

It's rainy and dreary here today and only going up to 70. THis was supposed to be last week the kids could wear shorts to school, but I have a feeling that they won't be wearing shorts again until May1st.

Tomorrow is supposed to be School Night at Rita's Water Ice, but it is supposed to be rainy and dreary again. I don't think we will do so well:sad2:

Wednesday is the Home and School Meeting and then Thursday Jimmy has his 7 year old physical.

Is it summer vacation yet :faint:

Hope you all have a great day. I am off to a meeting in a bit. See you all later:goodvibes

Have to go to the Dentist at 11a.m. , try to do some laundry and dishes etc and be at work by 3 pm!!!

Remember I am OFF tomorrow and Judy doesn't know:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hi Girls!

Been a crazy weekend. Friday Andy and I snuck off to Disneyland to ride Ghost Rider, but it was down all day! Bummer! We did have a nice lunch in DTD then came home in time to pick the kids up from school.

It's been crazy-hot, so we headed to the movies on Saturday and saw "Legend of the Guardians" - OMG, it was sooo good! We loved it! :thumbsup2

Sunday we did grocery shopping and that sort of stuff. Maddie's decided she wants a Halloween-themed birthday/costume party, so we went a little nuts at the party store and Target yesterday. We did get some really cool stuff, though. Andy wanted to buy some really scary stuff, but I had to remind him most of the guests will be in 8-9 age group.

Anyway, we're supposed to get up to 107* today! :faint: I felt so bad sending the kids to school in this craziness! I had planned to run some more errands, but I think I'll putz around the house in the AC. ;)

Have a great week! :hippie:

Work is work no matter what it involves. I did tell my supervisor to do his job this morning.:rotfl2: He didn't appreciate it. I don't care. He's such a jerk!

It was beautiful today. Not that I could enjoy it since I had to sleep. Hope it comes your way.

I hope Jimmy's phys. goes well.

Too bad about GR. That's too funny that you 2 snuck over to DL.

I think Maddie's party will be a blast. Can I come?

It's a perfect 67 here. It won't last long. It was 48 when I got home this morning.

The Loud Family sets sail one week from today!

:rotfl::woohoo:

I'm off for 3 nights starting tomorrow. I don't even know what I'm going to do. I think I have everything I need for the trip. I suppose I'll be in the yard. That's a never-ending ordeal.

Have a good evening!
