Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hey everyone. I skimmed through and retained very little of what i read.

Slate- We stayed in the Music Suites and it was really great!

How is everyone this monday afternoon?

It's a stinky rain day here and the kitties wanna cuddle a lot so i'm not getting nearly enough done.

KC is working a few days of side work this week. A guy from his last job, where he has does a little side work from time to time, had his baby 5 weeks early! That means a lot of nice extra work for KC. It's really easy stuff too, he sits onsite and different hotels and things in NYC and basically babysits the internet connections and is there if there's any issues. It's a long day sometimes but at least it's easy. We can really use the $ now since I can't find a job for anything. I have been searching and sending out resumes like mad. I do have an int on Wed, but thats the only prospect so far.

We have been relaxing with our friends lately, trying to stay in the social loop LOL. I made some more fondant covered cupcakes for Pants' Birthday- I'll post the link once I blog them!

This evening I plan to straighten up some and get a few small projects done before K gets home.

On the 5th by BFF & her hubby & daughter are here- I can't wait!!!! That means once the 1st hits i'm in hyper cleaning mode!

Have a good one all!

I killed the thread...LOL.

As soon as I posted last I was catching up on reports when my kitties decided to discover the mouse on the computer moves....they wouldn't let me read V's report! LOL. Of course I grabbed the camera and recorded.

Here's The Video!

And Miso decided on a new spot on the desk to sit. It's zoomed in, but it's on top of magazine holders, next to a 18 inch monitor, she's so little!

Just thought you'd all get a kick out of it!

Hi Girls!

What is this?

It's been crazy-hot, so we headed to the movies on Saturday and saw "Legend of the Guardians" - OMG, it was sooo good! We loved it! :thumbsup2

The kids liked it? I wasn't sure if Jimmy would or not.

The Loud Family sets sail one week from today! :yay:

:woohoo:

Work is work no matter what it involves. I did tell my supervisor to do his job this morning.:rotfl2: He didn't appreciate it. I don't care. He's such a jerk!

Don't you love when you can do that:thumbsup2

I do have an int on Wed, but thats the only prospect so far.

Good luck! It is tough out there. We were interviewing for part-time file clerk and we have people with MAster Degrees applying:sad2:

I think Maddie's party will be a blast. Can I come?!

Of course! :thumbsup2

Enjoy your time off! :goodvibes

What is this?
Sorry, I meant Ghost Galaxy. They doctor up Space Mountain with a spooky theme. It started last year and I've yet to ride it. Either the FPs are gone, or it's down. :headache:

The kids liked it? I wasn't sure if Jimmy would or not.
Andy was surprised, but they really loved it. It's a cross between Harry Potter and Watership Down.

Hola! :wave2:

Greeting from the land of HOT AS HELL! :headache:

We had some CRAZY heat yesterday... 110* in our city. I think Downtown it got up to 113. That's just bananas.

Didn't do much, the heat totally drained me. But I did manage to run some errands early and then hide inside the house for the rest of the day. I felt so bad for the kids. They were happy to find frozen water bottles in their backpacks, though. :thumbsup2

It's supposed to only get to 100* today, but I think I'll stay in the house. I've got laundry to do and I need to straighten out bookcases, etc.

Hope you all have a great day! Peace. :hippie:

Yea it's crazy! I'm applying at some random places but it's work LOL. This interview is for a retail store near the house.

Kat good luck with the job search!!!:hug:

Thanks! Good luck with the new boss!

Greeting from the land of HOT AS HELL! :headache:

Thats just crazy how hot it is!!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Afternoon.
Another stinky rainy day here.
I'm headed to a comedy show tonight. It's call "Cheap Date" LOL $3 to get in, can't beat that! I'm going with Pants because KC is working tomorrow morning at 5am (getting up at 3am) so I am leaving him some peace and quiet to get some sleep.
I ahve a wacky week ahead, next week on Tues is when the friend arrive from Florida so it looks like i'll be cleaning and shopping and laundry-ing all week since KC is busting his butt workin'.
Anyways I am off for a shower and get ready for later. Happy Tues!
And the seas will never be the same....
I didn't know they did that. Sounds cool!
Andy was surprised, but they really loved it. It's a cross between Harry Potter and Watership Down.
Will have to see if Jimmy wants to see it.
Crazy! Are your schools air conditioned? Can you re-open your pool? :faint:
How was the show?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Morning:goodvibes Last night was Shawmont Night at Rita's (Water Ice). Kids had a ball but I am tired. It wasn't alate night, but it just threw off the routine.
Tonight is our Home and School Open House from 7 to 8, so hopefully I won't be out too late tonight either.
Have a good day:goodvibes
Afternoon all. I have checked now and then the last couple of days but if I tried to quote this post would be way to long. :rotfl:
Not much going on around here. We have had some rain and are expecting A LOT starting tonight. I can't complain because we had a really dry summer and a drought watch was issued.
I ran into an old co-worker of Jim's who couldn't stop telling me what a great guy he is. I have one of the last good guys to quote her. I called my son who told me that he hears that all of the time from CO's and inmates. It's kind of nice to know that he is so respected.
My trip is in 22 days :yay: and I am starting to get excited. I have all of my memory cards emptied so I have about 70 GB of space for the THREE cameras. I am hoping that is enough memory. :lmao: As TV shows become available I am setting up the DVR so I don't miss any of my shows. I have stuff to decorate my ECV and T-shirts made for MNSSHP. I only have the photopass CD left to preorder. I would skip it but I like adding all of the borders to the pics and getting some of the special effects. I am starting to pack a little, toiletries and stuff like that. I have gone with no plans or lists the last few trips and am trying hard to stick to that. I tend to micromanage vacations.
Not much else going on. Have a great day all.
How was the show?
We decided not to go. Had a crazy night instead. Turns out Pants wanted to have a chat with us because he was broken hearted. It kinda turned into a coming out party for him, lots of tears were shed but in the end happy hugs were had. We ate some food, looked at old pics and wished him a Happy Birthday at midnight. :goodvibes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well I went for my interview before the interview today. 2 busses, hour and a half for a 5 minute interview and I get to do it all again on the 13th of Oct. :sad2:

KC is actually home early today but it looks like he'll be playing games while I start to clean the house form top to bottom for company. Gonna be a long afternoon.

Hi strangers :wave2:

Sorry I haven't been around just been very busy! The spa and Buckingham Palace were really good, I now have a stinking cold and we're off for a few days on Friday so it needs to clear up. Then I have the final of the County/State golf tournament on Monday so it definitely needs to be gone by then :rotfl:

Anyway I hope you're all well and that T hasn't roasted in the heat yet! LY/MI :grouphug:

Well, my month of beach vacations is over. :sad2: But I had a very relaxing time on both trips. The house where we stayed in NC was right on the beach which is the most important part. :thumbsup2 I love my friend's entire family and she was glad I was spending time with her mother so she didn't have too. That sounds a bit familiar. ;) New Smyrna is only about an hour away, and that condo was also directly on the beach. Reid and I shared a room, and he seemed to think it was cool to be roomies. :goodvibes Mostly I read and sat by the water. My idea of paradise.

Mo and I had a nice lunch as usual while Mel and I had a lovely dinner too. She was also nice and included me at tea with her MIL and Dawn this afternoon. I do love tea but hope the rain holds off so I can look somewhat presentable. :)

Mitch is taking a class which he needs to be promoted, so he's been busy with lots of reading and homework. Our anniversary is next week and he sent me a "Rolex" and a "Gucci" purse. Both very cool. :thumbsup2

What's up with you all?

Sunday we did grocery shopping and that sort of stuff. Maddie's decided she wants a Halloween-themed birthday/costume party, so we went a little nuts at the party store and Target yesterday. We did get some really cool stuff, though. Andy wanted to buy some really scary stuff, but I had to remind him most of the guests will be in 8-9 age group. :rolleyes:

We had a Halloween birthday party for Holly and Nicholas one year. We turned our garage into a mild haunted house. I think my favorite thing was the black cauldrons with worms in them. :thumbsup2

Hi strangers

:wave2:

I am going to email you about December:goodvibes

Well, my month of beach vacations is over.

Sad for you that your vacay is over, but glad you are back:goodvibes Besides with the Dodgers out of the playoffs, I have to have someone to spar with for the enxt month and a half;)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ugh, it has been the week from hell. I didn't mention it earlier becasue I wanted to see where things went. My dad was in the hospital over the weekend, some kind of infection. He came home on Tuesday and my mom went in yesterday. They think hers in pneumonia.:sad2:

No I am fighting with my brother, becasue he is DEMANDING that I side with him and convince my parents to sell the house down there and come back to Philly. I know my parents..they are too independent and will not want to come back to Philly. He is driving me crazy and is pi%%ed off that I am not taking his side. My older brother isn't saying anything...wimp:rolleyes:

I understand where my brother is coming from and it is frustrating, but my parents are still able to take care of themselves and I won't take theat away from them.

I can see a huge battle brewing!:sad2:

Ugh...I hate family.

Oh no! I hope your parents feel better soon!

Tell you brother if he's so concerned, he should sell his house and move down to Florida to take care of them. That should shut him up. ;):lmao:

**************************************************
Not much different going on here. Art class, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Waldo's sick, I'm getting sick..... yada, yada, yada.

Waldo did get scheduled for his angioplasty on 10/19. And now TE's got post-menopasal bleeding (Sorry, TMI) and she's got tons of test she needs to get done to rule out cancer. Ugh. :sad2: So it looks like I'll be nursemaid for these 2 for a while. Not that I mind, but I had thought of looking for work, so it looks like that's on the back burner for now. :rolleyes:

So they both told me if they make it past all this drama in good health, they want to go to WDW next October with us. Oh joy. :laughing:

::yes::

:hug: to both of your parents.

Will he be the one looking after your parents if they move back? My mother and her parents were in the same situation. My grandmother and mom thought they should move from Cincinnati to Memphis to be closer to my parents, but my grandfather absolutely did not want to move. I think because of independence as well. However, someone told them they should decide together what they wanted to do while they were both alive and of sound mind instead of waiting until something happened and then had to make a big decision under additional stress. Not that I'm siding with your brother, but fyi. It is a difficult decision. :hug:

Tell you brother if he's so concerned, he should sell his house and move down to Florida to take care of them. That should shut him up. ;):lmao:
Because the weather is much better here as well. ;)

:hug: to your parents as well.

Will he be the one looking after your parents if they move back?

Oh no, that's the best part. Since I am the one who gets the most vacation time, etc...I can use it when they have to go to doctors or anything like that:eek:

They would both be bored out of their minds here. They have both given up the Mouse House jobs, but they still go to Bingo, play cards, play golf, etc. They couldn't do any of that there. They'd get an apartment or condo and sit in all day doing nothing:sad2:

I know what you mean about talking to them etc, and we have...several times and this si what they want. My brother on the other hand is a PITA and thinks we should MAKE them do what HE wants:mad:

Kat, hope the interview went well.

Angela, welcome back - glad the vacations were good and hope tea is fun today!

Janet - :hug: So hard to make these decisions, particularly when everyone's on different pages.

T - hope the weather's improving, and that Waldo & TE are OK. :hug:

Hi, Jo! Feel better! :hug:

Rosie, hope the new boss goes better than you are anticipating. Ugh.

********************************************************

Hi, everyone! I've been reading along all week, but haven't been posting. I feel that I say the same thing every time, so I'm boring even myself, and I just am in a little funk, I guess. No word on the job application, D's still gone until Saturday. Blah, blah, blah. ;)

Truthfully it's been a fine week, but nothing too exciting with it. I did some tennis and lots of laundry... :rotfl2:

I went to Target today and spent a boatload of money, but it was at least on necessary stuff - got the kids some much needed new PJ's and long-sleeved shirts (though it was 80 yesterday and is 75 today, even though it's pouring rain...) I also got some "real" blankets for their beds. We bought comforters when we got the big beds for them, back when they were maybe 4, but the lighter blankets underneath are still fleece crib-mattress sized, and, well, the boys are getting tall! :rotfl: Then, a bunch of exciting stuff like toilet paper, tissues, paper towels... Woohoo.

I don't know if they want to go to karate tonight, or tomorrow instead. Tomorrow is the ice cream social for the school, in the evening, but karate would be possible beforehand, and the T-Th at karate have been REALLY crowded, while last Friday was nearly a private lesson. We'll see when they get home.

And, that's about it. Hope you're all well!:grouphug:

Janet - :hug: So hard to make these decisions, particularly when everyone's on different pages.

I just talked to my parents and we are on the same page;)

So not true:hug:

Do find Targets prices better for that kind of stuff (TP, tissues, etc) than the grocery store? Can you use coupons at Target?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Well, as I said I talked to my parents today. My mom is on anti-biotics and an inhaler. Will probably be released tomorrow.

My father said "he will take care if my brother" :scared1:

They are set on staying there and as long as they can, have no interst in coming to Philly, expecially in the winter:eek: You know, below 75 and it is cold:sad2:

I feel better now that I talked to them and confirmed what THEY want. Now my brother can )(*&^@*&^#%(* all he wants;)

Now, however I have a killer headace. Don't know if it is stress or lack of caffiene. I am thinking a combo of the two.

I;m running down to get a diet coke. Hopefully that with the Aleve I just took will do the trick.

Chat later:goodvibes

::yes:: I do. And as it happened, I made a quick stop at the grocery after, and for example, both stores had Bounty paper towels on sale, but Target had 9 giant (=18 regular) for $10, while the grocery (and this is the cheapest one here - not the one I normally frequent) had 15 regular rolls for 10.29. :thumbsup2

And yes, you can use coupons, and I had another $1.00 off the paper towels! ;)
