Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Evening All!!!The new Boss was over today and it went well, apparently she is gunning for the nurse:scared1:She let me leave to pick up the girls :banana:as it was raining !!!She didn't cause any concerns with my staff soooo I am hoping she has been suitably warned to play nice !!!:rotfl2:

I will be in Disney in 2 weeks !!!:woohoo::banana:

How is everyone this monday afternoon?

It's a stinky rain day here and the kitties wanna cuddle a lot so i'm not getting nearly enough done.

KC is working a few days of side work this week. A guy from his last job, where he has does a little side work from time to time, had his baby 5 weeks early! That means a lot of nice extra work for KC. It's really easy stuff too, he sits onsite and different hotels and things in NYC and basically babysits the internet connections and is there if there's any issues. It's a long day sometimes but at least it's easy. We can really use the $ now since I can't find a job for anything. I have been searching and sending out resumes like mad. I do have an int on Wed, but thats the only prospect so far.

We have been relaxing with our friends lately, trying to stay in the social loop LOL. I made some more fondant covered cupcakes for Pants' Birthday- I'll post the link once I blog them!

This evening I plan to straighten up some and get a few small projects done before K gets home.

On the 5th by BFF & her hubby & daughter are here- I can't wait!!!! That means once the 1st hits i'm in hyper cleaning mode!

...........I killed the thread...LOL.

As soon as I posted last I was catching up on reports when my kitties decided to discover the mouse on the computer moves....they wouldn't let me read V's report! LOL. Of course I grabbed the camera and recorded.

Here's The Video!....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Afternoon.
Another stinky rainy day here.
I'm headed to a comedy show tonight. It's call "Cheap Date" LOL $3 to get in, can't beat that! I'm going with Pants because KC is working tomorrow morning at 5am (getting up at 3am) so I am leaving him some peace and quiet to get some sleep.
I ahve a wacky week ahead, next week on Tues is when the friend arrive from Florida so it looks like i'll be cleaning and shopping and laundry-ing all week since KC is busting his butt workin'.
Anyways I am off for a shower and get ready for later. Happy Tues!
........
....We decided not to go. Had a crazy night instead. Turns out Pants wanted to have a chat with us because he was broken hearted. It kinda turned into a coming out party for him, lots of tears were shed but in the end happy hugs were had. We ate some food, looked at old pics and wished him a Happy Birthday at midnight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well I went for my interview before the interview today. 2 busses, hour and a half for a 5 minute interview and I get to do it all again on the 13th of Oct.

KC is actually home early today but it looks like he'll be playing games while I start to clean the house form top to bottom for company. Gonna be a long afternoon.

I love the video of the kitties!
How long have you known Pants? He must really love and trust you guys.
Dang, interviews just suck but having to take over an hour to get there???
You started cleaning a bit earlier than you planned. Have fun with your friend.

I just heard today I am getting a new Boss and I am not happy about it !!!She is one who power has gone to her head and I can see me getting in deep doo over deflating that ego!!I will have help from my veteran staff whoo will lay her out in lavendar though !! So stay tuned as my drama unfolds !!......
No word officially about the new boss but it's coming !!The few times I have dealt with her as a Manager have NOT been tooo pleasant !! Carol told me to bite my tongue and report to the BIG big boss , who she thinks will listen as this manager is on thin ice !! I am wondering if this is the plan !! Get Rosie to be the Bad guy!! If she is half as bad as I expect it aint gonna be pretty!!!......
.......Evening All!!!The new Boss was over today and it went well, apparently she is gunning for the nurse.She let me leave to pick up the girls as it was raining !!!She didn't cause any concerns with my staff soooo I am hoping she has been suitably warned to play nice !!!

I will be in Disney in 2 weeks !!!

Well, I hope she does know who she is dealing with. Sounds like she is distracted for the moment. Keep your guns loaded!!!!

I can't believe you are leaving WDW just as I get there. I know you'll have a blast.

Texted Mel and Dawn this am. They are probably already at the world. I told them to have a funnel cake and a drink for me;) They are going to Raglan Road tonight.

Busy morning at work, but I wanted to check in. Hope you are all having a great day......
......
Ugh, it has been the week from hell. I didn't mention it earlier becasue I wanted to see where things went. My dad was in the hospital over the weekend, some kind of infection. He came home on Tuesday and my mom went in yesterday. They think hers in pneumonia.

No I am fighting with my brother, becasue he is DEMANDING that I side with him and convince my parents to sell the house down there and come back to Philly. I know my parents..they are too independent and will not want to come back to Philly. He is driving me crazy and is pi%%ed off that I am not taking his side. My older brother isn't saying anything...wimp.

I understand where my brother is coming from and it is frustrating, but my parents are still able to take care of themselves and I won't take theat away from them.

I can see a huge battle brewing!

Ugh...I hate family.......
.....Well, as I said I talked to my parents today. My mom is on anti-biotics and an inhaler. Will probably be released tomorrow.

My father said "he will take care if my brother" :scared1:

They are set on staying there and as long as they can, have no interst in coming to Philly, expecially in the winter:eek: You know, below 75 and it is cold:sad2:

I feel better now that I talked to them and confirmed what THEY want. Now my brother can )(*&^@*&^#%(* all he wants;)

Now, however I have a killer headace. Don't know if it is stress or lack of caffiene. I am thinking a combo of the two.

I;m running down to get a diet coke. Hopefully that with the Aleve I just took will do the trick.

Chat later.
I'm glad you said something to your dad. I hope he gets everything straightened out. I guess I could understand it if your brother was saying it out of real concern, but for him to be a jerk about it is uncalled for.
I hope your mom and dad stay healthy for a long time yet.

Greeting from the land of HOT AS HELL!

We had some CRAZY heat yesterday... 110* in our city. I think Downtown it got up to 113. That's just bananas.

Didn't do much, the heat totally drained me. But I did manage to run some errands early and then hide inside the house for the rest of the day. I felt so bad for the kids. They were happy to find frozen water bottles in their backpacks, though.

It's supposed to only get to 100* today, but I think I'll stay in the house. I've got laundry to do and I need to straighten out bookcases, etc.

Hope you all have a great day! Peace.......
......
Not much different going on here. Art class, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Waldo's sick, I'm getting sick..... yada, yada, yada.

Waldo did get scheduled for his angioplasty on 10/19. And now TE's got post-menopasal bleeding (Sorry, TMI) and she's got tons of test she needs to get done to rule out cancer. Ugh. So it looks like I'll be nursemaid for these 2 for a while. Not that I mind, but I had thought of looking for work, so it looks like that's on the back burner for now.

So they both told me if they make it past all this drama in good health, they want to go to WDW next October with us. Oh joy.
I'll be thinking about Waldo and TE. I'm also looking forward to another 'Where's Waldo?' TR.

I've been seeing the heat wave out there on the news. It's just unreal. You can always come visit me in nowhere's-ville. It's going to be in the 50's and 60's starting Sunday. Trust me though, we'll see 90 again in another 10 days. 'Indian Summer'

Afternoon all. I have checked now and then the last couple of days but if I tried to quote this post would be way to long.

Not much going on around here. We have had some rain and are expecting A LOT starting tonight. I can't complain because we had a really dry summer and a drought watch was issued.

I ran into an old co-worker of Jim's who couldn't stop telling me what a great guy he is. I have one of the last good guys to quote her. I called my son who told me that he hears that all of the time from CO's and inmates. It's kind of nice to know that he is so respected.

My trip is in 22 days and I am starting to get excited. I have all of my memory cards emptied so I have about 70 GB of space for the THREE cameras. I am hoping that is enough memory. As TV shows become available I am setting up the DVR so I don't miss any of my shows. I have stuff to decorate my ECV and T-shirts made for MNSSHP. I only have the photopass CD left to preorder. I would skip it but I like adding all of the borders to the pics and getting some of the special effects. I am starting to pack a little, toiletries and stuff like that. I have gone with no plans or lists the last few trips and am trying hard to stick to that. I tend to micromanage vacations.

Not much else going on. Have a great day all.
Your hubby sounds like a heck of a guy. I would think in that line of work it would be difficult to maintain a cool demeanor. My Grandfather was a state trooper. I always heard good things about him from people who had worked with him or been stopped by him.

70 GB!!!!! I thought I was over doing it with 20 GB! I did burn a bunch of pics to DVDs from my computer's photo gallery.

Sorry I haven't been around just been very busy! The spa and Buckingham Palace were really good, I now have a stinking cold and we're off for a few days on Friday so it needs to clear up. Then I have the final of the County/State golf tournament on Monday so it definitely needs to be gone by then.

Anyway I hope you're all well and that T hasn't roasted in the heat yet! LY/MI.
I'm sorry you aren't feeling too chipper. I wish you the best for your tournament. Can a cold be figured into your handicap????:rotfl2:

Well, my month of beach vacations is over. But I had a very relaxing time on both trips. The house where we stayed in NC was right on the beach which is the most important part. I love my friend's entire family and she was glad I was spending time with her mother so she didn't have too. That sounds a bit familiar. New Smyrna is only about an hour away, and that condo was also directly on the beach. Reid and I shared a room, and he seemed to think it was cool to be roomies. Mostly I read and sat by the water. My idea of paradise.

Mo and I had a nice lunch as usual while Mel and I had a lovely dinner too. She was also nice and included me at tea with her MIL and Dawn this afternoon. I do love tea but hope the rain holds off so I can look somewhat presentable.

Mitch is taking a class which he needs to be promoted, so he's been busy with lots of reading and homework. Our anniversary is next week and he sent me a "Rolex" and a "Gucci" purse. Both very cool.

What's up with you all?
I'm glad you had a great time. Good to have you back. Did you get any pics?
Your Anni. gifts are wonderful. Mitch is a good guy.

We had a Halloween birthday party for Holly and Nicholas one year. We turned our garage into a mild haunted house. I think my favorite thing was the black cauldrons with worms in them.
ooooo, Deliciously wicked!!!

Hi, everyone! I've been reading along all week, but haven't been posting. I feel that I say the same thing every time, so I'm boring even myself, and I just am in a little funk, I guess. No word on the job application, D's still gone until Saturday. Blah, blah, blah.

Truthfully it's been a fine week, but nothing too exciting with it. I did some tennis and lots of laundry...

I went to Target today and spent a boatload of money, but it was at least on necessary stuff - got the kids some much needed new PJ's and long-sleeved shirts (though it was 80 yesterday and is 75 today, even though it's pouring rain...) I also got some "real" blankets for their beds. We bought comforters when we got the big beds for them, back when they were maybe 4, but the lighter blankets underneath are still fleece crib-mattress sized, and, well, the boys are getting tall! Then, a bunch of exciting stuff like toilet paper, tissues, paper towels... Woohoo.

I don't know if they want to go to karate tonight, or tomorrow instead. Tomorrow is the ice cream social for the school, in the evening, but karate would be possible beforehand, and the T-Th at karate have been REALLY crowded, while last Friday was nearly a private lesson. We'll see when they get home.

And, that's about it. Hope you're all well!
That's funny about the blankets.
Doug had his 'binkie' until after he met me. It was a holey mess. Get this - it was lavender. :lmao: He finally threw it out and no I did not have anything to do with it. His mom turned right around and bought him another lavender blanket. :confused3 I went ahead and used it on our bed even though it didn't match.

BTW no one is as boring as me. Work, sleep, go to dr. appts...... The only thing exciting is my trip. That's why I write and quote all of you. Proof is below.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yep, not too much here.
Yard work and yesterday I spent 4 hours :scared1: cleaning my house, laundry, carpets. It needed it badly. Now I just have to spruce it up a little before we leave. It will be nice to be on vacation and come back to a clean house.

The only other news is that I got my camera yesterday!!!! Remember it was a holiday last week. They shipped it on Tuesday. Awesome job by Camera Kings!

The manual is 1" thick. I haven't had time to fiddle with it much yet. I'm impressed with how light-weight it is. I'll get some pics this next week and post them.

I have to work the next 3 nights. I'll be back if things are slow.

Have a great weekend!

Morning! :wave: It's been a busy week, between work projects, school projects and parenting.

Big, big :hug::hug: T and Janet.

I went to Target today and spent a boatload of money, but it was at least on necessary stuff

I love that store lately. I just have to stay away the week before my vacation. I lost my wallet there 2 days before I left in April. I knew it was the last place I had it and when I called they said it wasn't there. I stopped by the next day after replacing my license and it was in a drawer where it had been all along.

Well, as I said I talked to my parents today. My mom is on anti-biotics and an inhaler. Will probably be released tomorrow.

My father said "he will take care if my brother" :scared1:

Sorry you went through all of that. If your parents want to stay there then they should. I'm lucky that my brother lives around the corner from my parents. They never tell us when they are sick so at least he has a heads up on the info. My dad was in CCU a couple of years ago and my mom didn't tell us. It wasn't any of our business. He was there for almost a week before we found out. My brother was on vacation so he couldn't let us know. Glad things worked out to some extent.

Sounds like she may not be as bad as you thought, for now anyway.

I will be there in 3 weeks.

70 GB!!!!! I thought I was over doing it with 20 GB! I did burn a bunch of pics to DVDs from my computer's photo gallery.

He is a pretty great guy usually, but then I live with him and see the other side. :lmao: You'll get to judge for yourself in a few weeks.

Yeah 70 GB. I know I won't use it all but I liked to be prepared. Last trip I had one camera and used about 10 or 11 GB but with the MSEP and MNSSHP I know I'll be taking a ton of pics.

That's funny about the blankets.

That was nice of you to use it anyway, but LAVENDER? I don't know if I could have done that. It's not my color at all.

It looks like a nice camera. I am thinking of getting another one but want a compact P&S. I lent my DD mine and she didn't bother to tell me that the kids broke it.

++++++++++++++++++

Morning all.

It has been very wet here lately. According to the news this morning we got almost 6" of rain in the past 2 days. We really need it but now there is flooding all over the place.

Not a whole lot going on here. My DGD is sick with a nasty cold so I am drinking OJ by the gallon to try and not catch her cold. My last few trips I went to Disney getting over bronchitis and I don't want that again. I actually came home with pneumonia one trip. I am starting my daily countdown and am actually a day closer than I thought. I thought it was still Sept. when I realized it's Oct
1st. :confused3

Anyway I hope you all have a good day.

I baked. :faint: :rotfl:

We are going to family friends' house for dinner, and they asked for cookies. I went all out and made them instead of buying them. Whoa!

Last night was fun - we enjoyed the ice cream social, and I enjoyed that we weren't there the full hour and a half because of grabbing dinner after karate... :rolleyes1

D is scheduled to land in about 20 minutes, but he figured they'd be a little late, and I can't make the tracker site show the flights like normal, so I haven't been able to check.

Anyway, hope you're all having a good Saturday! :goodvibes

Hey all. Busy weekend here. Friday ws the Fire Expo, which the kids LOVED. They got to put out a fire, climb on all kinds of fire trucks, helicopters, etc. They also got to try on the SWAT gear. They were in heaven.

Saturday we had popcorn sales in the morning and then I did luandry and strightened up in the afternoon. Yesterday we had soccer and then more luandry and cleaning.

Wanted to get the Halloween Decorations up, but that didn't happen and now it is going to rain until Wednesday afternoon. Maybe we can get them up on Thursday:confused3

On a sad note, my mom is not doing real well, so any good thought or prayers would be appreciated.

I'm off to get some work done. Will talk to you all soon.

That was a busy weekend. I haven't seen any BS troops around here selling the popcorn and I know they are out there. Jim always buys some because our son was a Cub.

Are you close to all of the flooded areas. There were some really bad sections of the city and with more rain coming. :scared1:

So sorry to hear your mom isn't doing well. :hug: Prayers have been said already for her and you.

Morning all.

Not alot happening here. Put my surgery off for 2 days. Put the Renaissance Faire off for a year. :sad2: I really wanted to go but the knee will not hold out with the walking and the terrain.

I leave for WDW in 17 days :yay: and I am not ready. :confused3 I can't remember what to pack other than my cameras. :lmao: My daughter has actually worked out her sitter needs already. I have a ride to the airport and I think I have a ride home. Now to get myself moving for the rest of what I need to do. I am trying to decide if I want to go to the Disney store and buy some
T-shirts for the trip. I actually stopped wearing all my Disney stuff because I let my mom convince me I was too old and looked silly.

Well I'm off to my lists so I can get some things done today. Have a good day all.

On a sad note, my mom is not doing real well, so any good thought or prayers would be appreciated.

:hug: I'm sorry. Good thoughts heading that way.

:faint: Though I admit I barely wear it unless I'm there, myself. ;) Part of it is, though, that I don't have a lot that's flattering - I should try to get some of the better women's fitted stuff. Good luck if you go!

*************************************
I'm cranky. D didn't get back until we'd already gone to dinner the other night. He was wiped, which is totally understandable. Yesterday, he was just trying to get a few small things done around the house, but it didn't go well, so he was frustrated and cranky - not exactly the "oh good, he's back" feeling I was hoping for. :rolleyes: He said himself that he knew it wasn't the day any of us wanted.

I hit my wall at dinner time, when while I was trying to cook, the kids kept only asking me for help, this, that, and the other thing, and D was sitting right there... It annoyed me that they kept coming to me, then that he didn't jump in to help. :guilty: Yet, I'm fully aware it takes several days to get un-jet lagged and I was still half trying to be "Daddy's tired, be nice, I'll take care of stuff..." :confused3

This is where I do this about 1000 times to V and our other single parents: :worship: because I will eventually get a break, and I know you don't. :hug: I live in awe.

I don't know. It just was a kind of irritating day. Then, poor D did have to get up relatively early this morning to go for a day trip, and he's not home until after dinner. Woody pulled the "I got up Saturday at 6:20, but I can't possibly get up today at 7:00" this morning, screaming and yelling.

Monday. :headache:

Sorry, I'm done with the self-pity party now. :rotfl:

I subbed into my "up" team drills this morning and now have nothing much going on for the rest of today.

I hope everyone else is happier than I am, and that the week is starting off well.

Good Morning Everyone. :wave:

Janet: :hug: Sending lots of good thoughts for your mom. :hug:

Had a crazy weekend, as well. Saturday we took the kids bowling with Andy's sister, her DH and their son and then went for pizza at this hole-in-the-wall place on Route 66. OMG, it was to die for! :faint:

Sunday we had planned to go to DLR, but we were all so tired from Saturday, we decided to sleep in a bit and then head out to find more stuff for Maddie's Halloween party and to find Evan's costume. Ugh - that was DRAMA! Since he conquered the Indy ride at DLR, he reeeeeeally wants to be Indiana Jones. Yeah, good luck finding that costume in his size anywhere! I had to be creative and ended up ordering brown cargo pants from ON and a white oxford that I'll have to dye in coffee. I also found the hat, gun, satchel and whip on Amazon, so I ordered those as well. He was really upset about it, but once I get everything and put it together, I know he'll love it. He better. ;)

Anyway, I've got to get my mom over for her ultrasound. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Hope you all have a great week! :goodvibes

sigh---another tough day at the hospital. She had a MRI this afternoon and we should get the results this evening. She is totally unresponsive and the doctor says that is probably permanent. Only positive things is that she had a living will that clearly states her wishes--so we will honor them and go to hospice care. That made the family meeting go easier.

I'm taking the girls to see her later this evening--just needed a mental break for now.

I'm cranky.

He will :rotfl2: Good luck to your Mom!

Welcome back!

Our weekend was fun although we did get lots of rain. Luckily lots of the stuff was indoors. We went ten-pin bowling, played badminton and Table Tennis twice and spent quite a bit of time in the pool. The slides etc were fun and they even had a big family raft ride type one but after being spoilt with Team Boat Springs at BB it was pretty rubbish :rotfl: I also managed to read a whole book which was pretty good :thumbsup2 We did have a bit of a problem with Jess, she got incredibly grumpy on the Sunday and wouldn't join in anything so then I flipped and got grumpy too :rotfl:

Then yesterday was the final of my County/State knock out, there were loads (OK about 20) people walking round and I played the biggest rubbish ever, honestly I could drive and putt but just couldn't hit an iron to save my life. We lost and I don't care that we lost but I'm so upset because I feel very humiliated, I know I came second out of 65 pairs but it's the fact that I made a fool of myself :sad1: I know people probably don't even care but........... :rotfl:
