Hi, guys...
I've been reading along again, but a busy few days.
Yesterday I played tennis at 9:00 for an hour and a half, then ran to the store and then home. D brought the kids to the gym, where he didn't think they'd pass the "swim test" to be able to swim alone (now that they're 8, they don't need a parent at the pool if they pass the test. This is good if I want to play tennis this summer - they can be at the pool whilst I'm on the court.

) So, they played on the playgrounds at the gym whilst D & I did a class from 12-1:30. We then ran up to the lake, swam, and had dinner, then took a lovely slow sunset cruise. Got home pretty late.
This morning was a playdate from 9-12 (where I sat with the mom, whom I love) and then we decided to try the swim test whilst D worked on the bathroom. They passed, first try, so that's awesome!

D had said he'd go to the office, but decided it was "too nice" so stayed here and did bathroom work instead. Which would have been fine except that I planned on him being home TOMORROW and had made tennis plans. Now, at least, if he goes to the office, the boys can come with me and swim.
Then, I took the boys to karate and grilled chicken for dinner. D is actually taping and mudding the drywall as I type. WOOHOO! I have all the walls in the bathroom, and once this dries, painting can commence. Then floor, then toilet - maybe even before the next rounds of company come!
Taz - Hope you had a nice day at the pool.
Jo - fingers crossed for a win!
Janet - sounds like a nice b-day, so glad.
Angela - woohooty for no family drama!

What a triumph!
Rosie -

about Kyle.
Um... Did I forget anyone? Hi, T! Where's TE?
Oh, Mo, more great pics!

Tomorrow I have the tennis class I agreed to when I thought D would be home, but it's not until noon. Buzz got invited to a "birthday outing" on Thursday to the
Lego store and Rainforest Cafe down near D's work, so we have to find a present for that. Our friend who pilots for a Nascar team is in town for the race this weekend, or will be Friday & Sat., and then the club has its real, USTA-sanctioned, semi-pro tournament this weekend. Tara's husband, who's a financial advisor, is sponsoring it, so she and her girls will be around a lot. D & I have agreed to be court sweepers for a bit on Saturday

and then Tara & her DH got a lot of free gift cert $$ to spend at the club for being sponsors, so we'll likely end up there in the evening as well.
I thought this was supposed to be relaxing, with no school.
I'll read as I can, but may not be around much. Have a great night, and I'll "talk" to you soon.
