Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Jo I totally got to pick the restaurants !!! The TA liked Raglan Road when I told her about the possibility of an Irish Jig dancer !!! Plus I LOVE the food there !!

I requested POP as the resort and she will definately try sooooo I am hoping !!

I know! If I could get a preschool or the half-day room kindergarten (all the classes are half day, but they're adding one that's just morning - we don't need the third room in the p.m.) I would still have afternoons free. If I can get on the sub list, well, I'll just play when I'm not called. ;)
Phew can't have you going without your tennis :rotfl2:

I hope the derm has some answers though. Wonder if it's hormones? I know my Mom started getting dark spots along her inner elbow, underarms, and back of her knees, and she ended up going to an endocrinologist (sp?) only to find out her hormones were all outta whack.
She is very hormonal at the moment but these marks are dark dark brown, literally like she has done the darkest fake tan :confused3

I really need to get the suitcases down and go through my stuff, but I reeeeeeeeally don't want to.
:faint:

You're scaring me, T.
Me too :rotfl:

I'm not on FB either. I'm glad to hear that the tests came out with good results.
Thanks :goodvibes Sorry about the stupid SIL, he should be grateful that you'll sit the kids and I'm even more sorry that you don't feel you can leave them to it

Between you and V I am beginning to think the FOckers are being invaded by aliens
:rotfl2: Don't worry I'm still the same.... packing the day before we leave :rotfl2:

I may need to volunteer to go into the dunk tank at one point
Now THAT we need photos of :rotfl:

Yippeeeeee!!! It's the last day of school! 11 more days until Disney, I can't wait!
Yay!!!

I had to laugh at my granddaughter the other day. I picked her up from school and they had celebrated the summer birthdays that day. She insisted she was 6 now. It took me half an hour to convince her otherwise. The teacher gave her a certificate that said she was 6 so in her mind she was. The teacher was surprised when I told her because she said Crystal is one of the brightest kids in the class. This wasn't the first time she told me this. She reminds me of myself when I was her age so I really have fun with her.
Awww bless and you guys celebrate everything don't you!!!

Ooh, ooh, Woody's friend's mom just called. She had taken her daughter, who went to a private Kindergarten, to the first grade step up, and ran into her son & Woody. They are together AND they got the teacher I wanted most for one of them to get!
Wooohooo glad they both got good teachers and hope D gets over his jetlag soon!

Jo I totally got to pick the restaurants !!! The TA liked Raglan Road when I told her about the possibility of an Irish Jig dancer !!! Plus I LOVE the food there !!

Wow fantastic :thumbsup2

What a boring day, first none of my golfing girls played so I didn't go, then D did boring work, then I had to drive to pick Jess up for her physio and that was about it, oh and now David is watching England play Algeria so I'm even more bored :rotfl2:

Oh the girls got their new memory foam mattresses today and they're about twice the height of the old one, good job Ellie isn't on her high bed anymore otherwise she'd have been stuck to the ceiling :rotfl:

Phew can't have you going without your tennis :rotfl2:

I know, but it's paradoxical. If I want to keep playing so much tennis, more money coming in would be nice. But if I want more money, I can't play as much tennis. :rotfl2:

Wooohooo glad they both got good teachers and hope D gets over his jetlag soon!

Thanks! He's out trimming bushes - I hope he's awake enough for that! :lmao:

Oh the girls got their new memory foam mattresses today and they're about twice the height of the old one, good job Ellie isn't on her high bed anymore otherwise she'd have been stuck to the ceiling :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Although it's funny - my memory foam mattress is much lower than my previous regular one. The guest bed is very tall - ours is not so much, now. ;)

What's that? Sounds good....

Will post the recipie in the next post!

Well I'm off for the day. I will probably check back in tonight. Have a great day all.

Hope you had a good day:goodvibes

Well, I couldn't be happier. Woody got the one I most hoped that one of them would get (I mentioned that) and not only that, but is back with a good friend from K & 1st, and got his best girlfriend, too. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Buzz called me from his friend's, and he got the male teacher moving down from 4th, :thumbsup2 with his bff from last year, plus a lot of other really nice kids that we know and like. :goodvibes He's not with his great friend from this year (the kid whose house he's at right now) but that's probably OK - they'll be fine, and that kid got the other teacher I would have liked, so his mom's happy. :thumbsup2 His twin is in with Woody. ::yes::

Glad they got the teachers you wanted!:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Don't worry I'm still the same.... packing the day before we leave

I;m not that bad;)

Now THAT we need photos of :rotfl:

HE#$ NO!

Oh the girls got their new memory foam mattresses today and they're about twice the height of the old one, good job Ellie isn't on her high bed anymore otherwise she'd have been stuck to the ceiling :rotfl:

She can be the princess and the pea:goodvibes

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Toy Story 3 was great:thumbsup2 Except for the partwhere the fire alarm went off and we had to leave the theater for about 1/2 hour:headache: On the plus side they gave free drink refills when we went back in:thumbsup2 Didn't see it in 3-D (I prepurchased the wrong tickets:guilty:) but I am sort of glad I didn't spend the extra money, notreally much I thought was 3-D worthy:confused3

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER:woohoo:

Off to do some more suff for the Block PArty tomorrow. Have a good one all!

Wow I am first to post today and it is almost noon!!! I tink it is a kinda slow week !! Nothing to exciting going on at home !! Girls are still sleeping as usual !!!!:rotfl2:Judy and Kyle are out and about and I just did dishes and laundry before heading to work !!!

Off to Darian Lake sometime tomorrow , Can't wait to check out the new water park there !! When we all go to Disney next August we are getting the Waterparks plus tickets !! Kyle will love Disney Quest any info on this would be appreciated !!

I know, but it's paradoxical. If I want to keep playing so much tennis, more money coming in would be nice. But if I want more money, I can't play as much tennis. :rotfl2:
That's the same with my golf, it costs so I think maybe I should get a job but then I wouldn't be able to play so much so it wouldn't be worth paying all that money for :rotfl2:

So you will be posting photos then :confused3 :rotfl2: Sorry about TS3 but yay on the drinks :thumbsup2

Kyle will love Disney Quest any info on this would be appreciated !!
Like everything else Rosie get there for opening and go for the popular rides first. We like Pirates and the Jungle Cruise but he may prefer the ones that are more thrilling. Oh and when you're in Epcot you MUST ride the Sum of all Thrills which is in Innoventions (the one closer to MS and TT) as you get to design and ride your own rollercoaster. You could even do it if you choose the basic bobsleigh ride as it's very calm, even David did it and he won't ride Space, RnR, ToT, MS, EE etc :thumbsup2

I had a bit of a paddy today, I have just bought Works 2010 and after loading it on my emails went to a new system and it had "lost" all my contacts, old emails etc it took about half an hour of me screaming ;) but I eventually found them :rotfl2:

Jess and I then, inbetween rain showers, planted out her tomato plants and lettuces so along with the raspberries and strawberry plant we're doing pretty well :thumbsup2

Oh I finally got through to the people about my garden swing (I demanded to speak to a manager in the messaging office and he was very nice, on my second time of talking to him I eventually got a call back) anyway she offered me a new cushion but after about 5 weeks of trying to contact them I just have no faith in their company so asked for a refund, I also asked about compensation for time, CC charges (there are none but she doesn't know that :rotfl2:) etc etc so fingers crossed I at least get my original money back. But it still leaves me without a chair which I've wanted for years :headache:

Jo Thanks for the info on Disney Quest !!Kyle loves all those type games !! We thought we;d check it out our first day as we will prolly eat at PH!!

Come out, come out where ever you are. I know lots of you lurk so post, post, post :thumbsup2

We went to the cinema today to see Letters to Juliet, well the sound wouldn't work properly so they gave us a free ticket each to apologise whilst they fixed it. About 10 minutes later they announced it couldn't be fixed so we were refunded our money and allowed to choose a different film plus keep our free tickets :thumbsup2 We chose Wild Target which was actually pretty good :)

We then went for a meal where if we go again Dad eats free so good bargains all round :rotfl:

Good bargains, Jo! :goodvibes

I don't think I've heard of Wild Target, though.

Hi! We spent something like 14 hours on the boat and driving yesterday, so I was just not around. We left home a little after 9:00 a.m. and got back at 11:30. :faint: Great day, though!

D was having a really hard time figuring out what he wanted to do today. He half wanted the boat again, but the kids kind of nixed that. Plus, it is "Bike Week" up near our marina and one of the reasons we were gone so long yesterday is that they have SO much motorcycle traffic that they close our usual route to the marina to cars, and we had to go around a longer way. Today is the last day of it, but I kind of am happy to avoid that traffic/drive.

So, we may go for a nice bike ride. I'm going to suggest TS3, but we'll see.

Tara had invited us for a cookout, but since D wouldn't decide, I wound up turning her down to more keep our options open. :confused3

We've just been out to breakfast - and it's noon, and we just got home - and that was nice.

That's about it. I have tennis drills in the morning and one of us needs to play in a fun class at noon. The boys are now old enough that they can be in the pools at the gym by themselves, but they need to pass a little test first, so we need to get on that. Maybe tomorrow I'll go at 9:00, then bring them over whilst D plays the noon class. :thumbsup2

We have a playdate Tuesday morning, and that's all we have planned so far for the week.

Hope everyone's having a nice Father's Day, with whomever you celebrate with. It's also Dr. Belle's birthday, so I need to make some phone calls. ;)

That means, right, that it's Janet's tomorrow? :rolleyes1 :)

Rosie, it's been a while since I have been to DQ. I was there in 2003 with Ryan who was 14 and Lauren who was 12. They both loved it. They loved Jungle Cruise and PoC as well as Space Mountian - design your own coaster and the Buzz lightyear ride where you throw balls at the other riders.

How is everyone on this very hot Sunday! Staying inside with the AC today!

I'm ready to post my next Italy installment so I will be right back.

Day Four and we were off to Florence with a stop in Assisi. The back seat girls were happily together in the back, talking and laughing all the way to Assisi.

Assisi is a medieval town atop a hill. It is a beautiful, amazing little town.

My only complaint is I wished we had another hour or so to spend there.

When we first arrived we went to the top of the hill to the Basilica where St Francis is buried. We had a wonderful local guide that showed us the Basilica (no pics allowed inside). The ceiling took your breath away, it looked like the night sky. We were first taken down to where St Francis is buried and then we had the tour of the rest of the basilica. It is huge! At the end of the tour the guide had a wonderful message. Today’s youth is so plugged in with tv, ipods, etc that they are bombarded with all the negative in the world, we should all take the time each day and tell the youth in our life something positive to offset the negative.

As the tour ended we were given some free time to explore and get lunch. Camille and Steph had wanted to eat right away, while the rest of us wanted to shop a bit then eat. We stopped at the ladies room (that you had to pay for) and then split up. I bought a beautiful pashmina, Barb got something for one of her grandkids and Tracy ended up with nothing.

While shopping we explored a bit too

We found a nice little restaurant to eat in and it was conveniently next to a bank with an ATM machine. We were all in need of cash at this point. I had a yummy tortellini and some zucchini for lunch. With that it was time to board the bus and leave for Florence.

We all were tired and at some point I think each of us fell asleep.

As we were heading into Florence I remembered the movie Tea with Mussolini took place here and with that the tour guide mentioned it as well.

We checked into a lovely European style hotel. I got a room on the top floor with a balcony over looking the courtyard. As I stepped onto my balcony it turned out Tracy had the room next to me and shared (with a railing in between) the balcony with me.

There was an optional dinner trip to a local farm that the back seat girls opted out of. We decided to explore Florence on our own.

As we headed out, a block from our hotel, we came up on the back of a building that you couldn’t walk on the sidewalk and had cameras on it, as we rounded the corner we saw Italian military guarding it. Then I saw it, the American flag. Now I was the only Yank in this group. I yelled out MY PEEPS! With my arms outstretched. Steph told me to go touch the building and she would take my pic, with that the Italian military ran over yelling out us. Steph points at me but she’s Americano. The guy looks at her and she’s like NO I’M A CANUCK! We were cracking up!:lmao:

We walked quite a bit and got off the beaten path and found a great local restaurant. We had the most delicious dinner with lots of laughs! It was a lovely night out and we opted for an outdoor table.

After our delicious dinner we headed back to the hotel and talked some more sitting in the courtyard.

I was exhausted as I went up to bed.

I wasn't here at all yesterday!:guilty:

Yes, but since I am old I don't celebrate anymore;)

I'm ready to post my next Italy installment so I will be right back.

Hi everyone:goodvibes The block party was a HUGE success. The kids had a ball and were totally exhausted by the end of the night. There were 2 moon bounces, a dunk tank, a pop corn machine, water ice, face painting, and the fire truck came for the kids to climb all over! In additons everyone who had those blw up pools had them up and down the street and the kids would run over, jump in to cool off, then move on. Riding bikes, scooters, roller skates, skate boards, big wheels, etc.

I passes out about 11pm. We are all still tired today. Jim rean over to see his day and go to the grocery store, I am doing laundry and me an Jimmy are straightening up everything that didn't get done last night.

Tomorrow Jimmy starts camp for 2 weeks. Jim has his last day of work and then he is in a work shop Wed - Fri. Back to work for me. I actually have 2 weeks where I don't have to go in late, leave early or take a day off:thumbsup2

We still have burgers and dogs left over from yesterday so we are going to get together with our neighbors and grill them up for dinner, so a bit of EARLY porch hopping.

Hope you all have a great day. Stay cool. It's in the 90's here!:thumbsup2

while the rest of us wanted to shop a bit then eat.

Gee, there is a surprise;):lmao:

Was it the embassy?

I don't think I've heard of Wild Target, though.
It's an English comedy and has Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Rupert Everett in!

You really were the rebel group weren't you :rotfl2:

Just seen that my golf partner and I have a home draw in the quarter finals :yay: So hopefully we'll take advantage :thumbsup2

Hiya! Happy Father's Day to the Focker Dads! We're just avoiding the subject altogether around here. ;)

Good weekend; Leo started with terrible behavior yesterday, but worked hard to improve it and earned himself some fun. We saw "Karate Kid" today - very good! And he finally took the scooter he got for his Bday out for a spin. I planted some marigolds, swam a bit and did my favorite chore, laundry.:love::love:

One more week of work and I'm on VACATION for two whole weeks! :cloud9:

Morning all. Today was Jimmy's first day of camp. He was so excited! This week is "magic" week and they are going to be learing how to make balloon animals:thumbsup2 Swimming every day and all kinds of other fun stuff.

Jim has his last day of work today (teachers go in an extra day for cleaning classrooms and final meetings) but he should be done by about 1:30. He has a workshop to got to Wed through Fri, so tomorrow will probably be a veg day for him. I'll give him a break and not give him the Honey Do list until next week;)

Not much else planned for the week. It should be a nice relaxing start to summer vacation!:thumbsup2

Hope you all have a wonderful week:hug:

What a boring day, David is watching England play Algeria so I'm even more bored :rotfl2:

Oh the girls got their new memory foam mattresses today and they're about twice the height of the old one, good job Ellie isn't on her high bed anymore otherwise she'd have been stuck to the ceiling :rotfl:

I was watching a lot of soccer this weekend. My grandson was over my house and opted for soccer over basesball. :confused3

Are the girls enjoying the new mattresses. I need to replace mine and have thought about the memory foam, but I have a bad back and worry that they won't be supportive enough.

We went to the cinema today to see Letters to Juliet, well the sound wouldn't work properly About 10 minutes later they announced it couldn't be fixed so we were refunded our money

Sorry you didn't get to see Letters to Juliet. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Vanessa Redgrave has gotten old. I haven't seen her in anythng for awhile.

I'm ready to post my next Italy installment so I will be right back.

I'm really enjoying your Italy trip. It is on my dream list of places to vsit one day.

+++++++++++++
Morning all.

I had fun at the lunch with my son's family. We spent a lot of time talking about Disney, my favorite subject. We are planning a huge family trip next summer.

The dance recital was nice and my granddaughter did really well. Her father didn't get to see it though. He went to the auditorium and got mad that we left him alone while we got Crystal ready. He said he was having a panic attack and that is a possibility but really, he had to leave. I know he has quit smoking but it's really time for him to put on his big boy pants and act like a grown up. My daughter was beyond angry. My parents got lost and missed the 1st third of the show. Mom doesn't listen when I give her directions and was in PA asking people for directions to a show in NJ. :lmao:

Saturday I took Mikey to see TS3. He was so good there and loved the movie. Of course he had on a TS shirt, flip flops and underwear and told anyone who would listen. I really enjoyed watchng him as much as the movie.

Sunday was baseball and my grandson did really well again. He drove in the winning run again. Playoffs start this week. I felt so bad for the one boy on the other team though. First he hit a foul ball that went straight back and hit him in the face. He had a really nice black eye coming on after that. His team would have been short-handed so he stayed in the game. His next at bat he got hit by a pitch and after another inning of not being able to grip a ball or the bat his dad finally took him out of the game to take him to the hospital. Nobody ever tells you that baseball is a dangerous game sometimes.

I am now back to my normal weeks for the summer. We will be going to the pool a lot but not today. I am still looking for all of the pool supplies from last year.

Hope you all have a good day and try and stay cool. We are in the 90's today.

Afternoon all !! Well today I have another day off!!Yesterday we spent Father's day at a local amusemnet park!!I think Kyle was having the same sort of day as Leo for part of the day:scared1:But hw did calm down eventually!!!:worship:We saw a Sealion show which was neat .They brought out a 550# Male He was HUGE!!

Kyle braved the Viper Roller coaster for the first time and as he was starting off we could see him crying !!:scared1:Judy was a basket case "My baby , My baby" When he got OFF he was all smiles and went again!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am OFF today too but had the girls and Kyle home :confused3 so not much of a day off !! Kyle did cut grass and earned $5 and took allthe empties back and got another $5!!Ther girls did nothing !!:rotfl2:Steph is now cleaning the kitchen and bellyaching about it !!:rotfl2:

Also when we were at The amusemnet park we ate supper in a sit down restaurant , kinda pricey but good !!The waiter was wonderful and Judy kept telling the girls he was the type of boy the should date !!:rotfl2:When she suggested they give him their numbers they were mortified :scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hiya! Happy Father's Day to the Focker Dads! We're just avoiding the subject altogether around here. ;)

Sounds fun and hope Jim enjoys a day of peace tomorrow :rotfl2:

Are the girls enjoying the new mattresses. I need to replace mine and have thought about the memory foam, but I have a bad back and worry that they won't be supportive enough.
Oh you should get one. I had a really bad back, I literally had to roll out of bed every morning and I hardly get any problems now :thumbsup2

Saturday I took Mikey to see TS3. He was so good there and loved the movie. Of course he had on a TS shirt, flip flops and underwear and told anyone who would listen. I really enjoyed watchng him as much as the movie.
Awwwww :goodvibes

Fantastic :thumbsup2

Had a great day of golf today, David and I played with our friends and we threw balls up to see who played with who and it ended up being girls v boys. My partner couldn't hit a ball to save her life for the first about 14 holes but we managed to half the game even with David playing 6 under par :faint: We had lots of fun too and took the mickey out of each other all the way around :thumbsup2
