Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hi everyone! :wave2:
I gave been reading along but quoting on the Ipod is difficult. I saw that CE practically has all her walls! Yay!
T was done with work for now. I loved the pics of your BB, too. So pretty. V is going to WDW soon with the girls? Sweet! You totally pushed me over the cliff though. Lol. I just booked 4 days at SSR in Sept. Just me, which will be so nice! Not that I don't love my boys....;)
Any news on the repair for your swing, Jo? Congrats on the golf win. Never doubted you for even a second. Any word on Ellie's tests yet?

The inlaws are here. The visit is going really smoothly, which is nice since NotBob is still really busy with the new position. The boys are out of school. Gus was accepted into DOUBLE advanced math for next year. That means instead of doing 7th grade math, he'll do 9th (algebra). We're really proud of him. He's doing a prep class this week to get a handle on some skills he's lacking since he's being pushed forward w/o actually having the classes in between. SD is finishing segment 2 in Drivers Ed. He will take his driving test in 2 wks. Yikes!!!!! I can't believe he'll be a senior in 3 months.

Wish I had more interesting stuff. Lol. I guess it's maybe a good thing that nothing exciting happens to me.
I'm happy to be going on vacation to the beach soon (7/18-31st) and now a trip (where I'll see Yani & Z and hopefully Angela) to WDW!!!
:cloud9:

Well, that's it for me. Who's going to Toy Story 3 on opening day?

Mel:banana:

Evening All !!! Today I spoke to the TA who handles all the travel arrangements for our Disney FREE Trip!!! I have all my ADRS made, times not to bad from my original requests other than 1 !!
These are my picks ..
Teppon Edo
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickeys
50's Prime Time
Raglan Road !!!

I think I have a nice mix for them !! I am psyched about 50's as I have never eaten there !!!

Hey ladies! :wave2:

School is almost over!!!! Can I get a WHOOT, WHOOT!!! :woohoo: 2 more days left, thank GAWD, 'cause I am t.i.r.e.d.

Although I'm not as busy as Janet ;), I've got a lot going on here! Ugh. Evan's kindergarten picnic is tomorrow and of course Andy and I are helping out with games, etc. Then on Friday the kids get out at 11:40. :confused3 Weird, I know. I wanted to see TS3, but Andy's working Fri & Sat. Maybe Sunday?

Next week I have to get ready and start packing 'cause in 12 days we're leaving on a jet plane!!! I know... can you believe I haven't started packing yet? I haven't even pulled out the suitcases, yet!

So, what's new with you all? popcorn::

T: No packing yet? :faint: :rotfl: Have fun with the end of year stuff.

Umm... I've been reading everything, but once again can't remember when last I actually posted.

Kristel:  on the weather (my parents' basement has been flooded and the rain keeps coming.) Take care of yourself.

Rosie: woohoo!

Jo: Congrats on winning (I think I remember posting that before, so maybe I'm repeating myself...) Hope you get good answers for Ellie tomorrow.

Janet: Too busy, girl. But, enjoy. ;)

Mel: glad the in-law visit is going well. :thumbsup2 Congrats to Gus on the math!

Hi, everyone!

***************************************************
Um, nothing much happened here today. I did play some friendly tennis and made a grocery stop after. The kids had no after school activities - and, finally, no homework, so we went to the library after school. I watched myself a girl movie and that's about been my day.

Tomorrow morning is the volunteer appreciation breakfast, but that's all except karate, too.

I did actually file my online application/resume to the school today. :confused3 Wish me luck! The secretary at school, whose brain I picked to get advice/names/procedures said that before she was the secretary at our school, she was an aid at one of the other elementaries in town. They called her the week before school started for that job, so I just have to both keep my eyes open and my hopes up. :thumbsup2

The kids have "Read All Day" tomorrow and then just the half day on Friday. I can't believe it in some regards, in others, since I still have that attitude about the breaks and stuff, it's certainly time for summer. ;)

Anyway, I started to bed and then remembered something I wanted to check on the computer - a half hour later, here I sit. So, I'm going up now! Hope you all have pleasant dreams. :goodvibes

Janet - That is a lot to do in a couple of days. It looks like my normal schedule. I'm jealous about the block party. We had one once about 20 years ago and that was it. My neighbors are all anti-social. :rotfl2: The bl;ocks around me all have them and there are times I want to call the police on them. They block the streets so you can't get through (not their block) and have DJ's that are so loud my house shakes until after midnight. There are a couple of accidents around the street with the block party every year.

We have a DJ too:rolleyes1 Last year was the first one and it was lots of fun:thumbsup2

I'm taking Mikey to CHOP for the dev. ped. I hate the traffic to get there but it's a good hospital.

Jimmy goes to St. Chris. Were you able to get an appointment at CHOP? When I called they told me there was a 9 month wiating list!

Hi everyone!

:wave2:

V is going to WDW soon with the girls? Sweet! You totally pushed me over the cliff though. Lol. I just booked 4 days at SSR in Sept. Just me, which will be so nice! Not that I don't love my boys....;)

I am trying to do the same in November:thumbsup2 But it will be a REAL cheap trip. Staying with my parents;)

The inlaws are here. The visit is going really smoothly,

Did you drug them:confused3

Well, that's it for me. Who's going to Toy Story 3 on opening day?

Me and Jimmy are:banana:

Congrats to Gus too:goodvibes

I think I have a nice mix for them !! I am psyched about 50's as I have never eaten there !!!

50's is good. Fun atmosphere:thumbsup2

Hey ladies!

:wave2:

School is almost over!!!! Can I get a WHOOT, WHOOT!!! :woohoo: 2 more days left, thank GAWD, 'cause I am t.i.r.e.d.

Jimmy has a "full" day on Friday, but I am signing him out after the class party and taking him to see TS3:yay:

Next week I have to get ready and start packing 'cause in 12 days we're leaving on a jet plane!!! I know... can you believe I haven't started packing yet? I haven't even pulled out the suitcases, yet!

Are you feeling ok?

I watched myself a girl movie and that's about been my day.

What did you watch?

I did actually file my online application/resume to the school today. :confused3 Wish me luck! Hey all. Got up and got the boys off to school. I got the party bags done for the kids and I am working on the shopping list now. Thought I'd check in here. Still have to do the gift for the teacher, clean the bathrooms, and straighten the licing room and dining rooms. Then I will jump in the shower and do a Staples run and the beer run for Saturday. Go to my doctors appointment and then do the food shopping.

Hope you all have a great day:goodvibes

What did you watch?

The "Emma" with Gweneth Paltrow. I love Jane Austen, but prefer Pride & Prejudice to the others. I wanted to re-read Emma before watching it - which I did, but it's been languishing on my Netflix list for a while. I figured I'd do it this week whilst D was gone. :thumbsup2

and straighten the licing room and dining rooms.

What's a licing room? :rotfl2: Sorry. Ahem. Struck me as a funny typo. ;)

Still aren't sure you're busy enough. :faint:

*****************************************************
The volunteer tea was very nice, and now I'm just straightening and stuff. Got some laundry going... Exciting day! ;)

I'm debating mowing, but it's supposed to rain, and the grass is still damp from last night. I don't know.

I feel like I should run errands as it's the last full day kidless, but I have nothing that really needs doing outside the house. So, I should probably do some housework. Woohoo. :lmao:

Have a good one! :goodvibes I'm sure I'll be in and out as I work on the house.

Oooh... good luck! I'd love to get in at my kids' school. It's the perfect job, but I don't like a lot of the parents. :lmao:

Did you drug them:confused3
OMG, Janet! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Are you feeling ok?
I know, right? :lmao:

Crap. I forgot the darn teacher gift. What should I get her? Suggestions? She's young, blond, cute.... wonder if something from Sephora would be appropriate?

:rotfl:
Still aren't sure you're busy enough. :faint:
Seriously, Janet. I don't know how you do it all! :worship:

*****************************************************
Just got back from the Kinder picnic. It was fun, except for the fact that we walked from the school to the park, in the freakin' heat! Ugh!

Andy and I were in charge of the Lawn Darts game (kiddie style) - we all had a blast with that one! One observation though...it amazes me how many parents come and just sit and watch instead of help. These poor teachers trying to herd 40+ kids whilst parents just sit on their big bums.

Off to grab some lunch and hit the mall. I think I need some thing....just not sure what. ;)

Have a great day! :hippie:

OMG, Janet! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Whaaaattttttt:littleangel:;):lmao: I would NEVER do that to my in-laws:rolleyes1

Crap. I forgot the darn teacher gift. What should I get her? Suggestions? She's young, blond, cute.... wonder if something from Sephora would be appropriate?

We are actually getting a group gift. We went with a Visa Gift Card, a plant (which is on my list of things to pick up today), and a picture frame with a picture of the class, everyone's name and their class picture. Yeah, I still have to make that too!

Remember I am the nerd of the group, so I have no clue what Sephora is:confused3

Seriously, Janet. I don't know how you do it all! :worship:

Sleep is highly over-rated:laughing:

One observation though...it amazes me how many parents come and just sit and watch instead of help. These poor teachers trying to herd 40+ kids whilst parents just sit on their big bums.

It's the same here. It's sad isn't it. But then of course the ones who do nothing are the first one in line when they want to complain about something!:headache:

+++++++++++++++++++++

Living room, dining room and kitchen DONE! Next up the powder room, then a hower and off to run all the errands I can before my doctors appointment. Food shopping after the doctors appointment (Ji is handling dinner tonight for him and Jimmy) and then I will probably finish up the 2 loads of laundry that I have once Jimmy is in bed.

I'll probably check back in later

Oooh... good luck! I'd love to get in at my kids' school. It's the perfect job, but I don't like a lot of the parents. :lmao:

Yeah, there's that... I like the little kids, though. They're funny. :goodvibes

Crap. I forgot the darn teacher gift. What should I get her? Suggestions? She's young, blond, cute.... wonder if something from Sephora would be appropriate?

Sure! We did a group gift, also.

Good for you! My Last Day Alone turned into laundry and mowing. Oh, well. The kids are in a huge state of excitement-fueled anarchy. It's going to be a long summer if this keeps up. :sad2:

Off to karate! BBL! :wave2:

There was a book in the pile that I jumped on. It was the one issued when Disney World opened. :yay: The only park was MK and EPCOT was being planned for the future. I couldn't believe that someone just got rid of it and I got it for FREE. :woohoo: It is in really good shape to, just a few scuff marks on the cover.
Cool, would it be worth anything?

That means instead of doing 7th grade math, he'll do 9th (algebra). We're really proud of him. He's doing a prep class this week to get a handle on some skills he's lacking since he's being pushed forward w/o actually having the classes in between.

You really should see a Dr T there is definitely something wrong :rotfl2:

But what about your tennis? :rotfl2:

and straighten the licing room and dining rooms.
You still haven't said what a licing room is :rotfl2:

These poor teachers trying to herd 40+ kids whilst parents just sit on their big bums.
But it's not their job :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

OK I think you all know, well not Kristel as she's not on FB, but Ellie's bloods came back clear. No clotting or thyroid problems and no infections :thumbsup2 But we still don't know what's wrong. It's being treated as a skin disorder and she has been prescribed some cream to use for 2 weeks otherwise we're off to a dermotologist!

I then went to golf this afternoon and to keep out of peoples way I played the weirdest round. I did holes 1 and 2 then 8, 9, 10 then got stuck again so saw 2 ladies on the 18th who said I could join them so I played 18, 1, 2 and then we skipped down 8 and 9 again :rotfl2: I was nailing my drives and I hit one 225 yards :yay:

But what about your tennis? :rotfl2:

I know! If I could get a preschool or the half-day room kindergarten (all the classes are half day, but they're adding one that's just morning - we don't need the third room in the p.m.) I would still have afternoons free. If I can get on the sub list, well, I'll just play when I'm not called. ;)

It's a beauty store. They sell make-up, lotions, perfume, etc.

It's the same here. It's sad isn't it. But then of course the ones who do nothing are the first one in line when they want to complain about something!:headache:
Oh I know it! :sad2:

See ya later, busy lady!

Yeah, there's that... I like the little kids, though. They're funny. :goodvibes
Oh, me too! I enjoy my Girl Scouts and MOST of the parents. ;)

Sure! We did a group gift, also.
I wish we could do a group gift, but our PTA forbids asking parents for money. :confused3

You really should see a Dr T there is definitely something wrong :rotfl2:
LOL! Thanks, Jo.

Great news! :thumbsup2 I hope the derm has some answers though. Wonder if it's hormones? I know my Mom started getting dark spots along her inner elbow, underarms, and back of her knees, and she ended up going to an endocrinologist (sp?) only to find out her hormones were all outta whack.

****************************************************
Just got back from the mall - it was a successful trip as usual. Just sitting here watching the kids swim and enjoying the great weather. :sunny:
I really need to get the suitcases down and go through my stuff, but I reeeeeeeeally don't want to.

We have a DJ too:rolleyes1 Last year was the first one and it was lots of fun:thumbsup2

Jimmy goes to St. Chris. Were you able to get an appointment at CHOP? When I called they told me there was a 9 month wiating list!

I don't mind the DJ except when the party is 2 streets over and rattling my windows. I like to hear my TV.

We didn't call yet. My DD has been convinced by her idiot whatever he is that Mikey is fine. He was the same way. He also did a year at Vision Quest when he was 13. I told her that I am calling tomorrow and he has no say in it.

Janet did you hear that they are trying to abolish the sheriff's department? Won't you feel so safe with the rent-a-cops at the CJC?

Cool, would it be worth anything?

I don't know if the book is worth anything. I have to figure out how to find out.

I'm not on FB either. I'm glad to hear that the tests came out with good results.

++++++++++++++++
Not much going on here. My grandson hit a home run at baseball tonight, one empty base away from a grand slam.

I'm so angry with my DD and the idiot whatever he is father of her children. He has banned me from feeding the kids at their house because the baby made a mess and I didn't deal with it. If I could ever find a broom or the vacuum I would. If he cleaned his dirty dishes away from the computer desk or they paid me I might even care. I felt bad getting angry at her because she is stiuck in the middle but there is no way I am going to watch those kids from 8:15 AM to 3 PM and not feed them. Thankfully I don't have to watch them tomorrow. I just have to put up with him at my DGD's dance recital.

Oh well it is 10 PM and I still haven't had anything to eat today so I think I will wish you all a good night and go find some food.

The kids are in a huge state of excitement-fueled anarchy. It's going to be a long summer if this keeps up. :sad2:

Inform them that they will need to find other sitting arrangements. Once they find out how much it would cost them, he will change his tune. What an idiot!

Good morning:goodvibes It is a beautiful out and I am pretty caught up on everything now. The teacher gift is done and I will leave about 11:15 or so to go get the water ice and then meet the other parents at school.

After the party Jimmy and I are off to see TS3:woohoo: Can't wait!

In the meantime I am going to make my pasta salad and buffalo chicken dip for tomorrow so they can be ready to go.

Tomorrow is baseball and then the block party so I won't be around all day. It is going to be 92 and HUMID tomorrow. Thank goodness we have water stuff for the kids. I may need to volunteer to go into the dunk tank at one point:lmao:

Have a great day/weekend:hug:

You're scaring me, T. :guilty:

:rotfl2:
:lmao: I'm scaring myself! I don't know why... I'm excited to go, but I'm dreading the packing/organizing all that crap.

Really? He forbid you? I agree with Janet... tell them they'll need to find another sitter. Sorry you're dealing with this.
REALLY????
Yup - I guess a parent made off with some money a few years ago. Niiiice.

Yippeeeeee!!! It's the last day of school! 11 more days until Disney, I can't wait! :woohoo:

Let me know what they say.

I'll keep you updated on Mikey. I am pretty sure he is ADHD ast a minimum. My DS, one DD and one DGS is so there is a good bet that is a part of his problem.

I am torn about telling the idiot that I won't watch the kids anymore as much as I would like to, to call his bluff. I am really afraid of what he would do to my DD and my grandkids if I wasn't there. My biggest fear was that my DD would stay with him. He was, and I guess is, her first love. She loves him but I'm not sure that is true with him. If you look up narcissist in the dictionary his picture would be under it.

That dip sounds really good.

Try and stay cool. I am going to take Mikey to see TS3 tomorrow because he has pooped in the potty all week. :thumbsup2 A major accomplishment for him.

Really? He forbid you? I agree with Janet... tell them they'll need to find another sitter. Sorry you're dealing with this.

Yippeeeeee!!! It's the last day of school! 11 more days until Disney, I can't wait! :woohoo:

See my reply to Janet. And really forbid me. That is a challenge to me. He should know that by now. I feel sorry for my daughter though because she gets stuck in the middle. He won't say anything to me so she gets my anger directed at him.

Last day for my grandkids too. :woohoo: I am going to lunch with my son and his family because my DGS "graduated" from kindegarten. My DGD's school didn't do that.

++++++++++++++

I have a free day today. :yay: The idiot took a vacation day. :yay: Going to lunch with my son's family and then my DGD's dance recital tonight.

I had to laugh at my granddaughter the other day. I picked her up from school and they had celebrated the summer birthdays that day. She insisted she was 6 now. It took me half an hour to convince her otherwise. The teacher gave her a certificate that said she was 6 so in her mind she was. The teacher was surprised when I told her because she said Crystal is one of the brightest kids in the class. This wasn't the first time she told me this. She reminds me of myself when I was her age so I really have fun with her.

Well I'm off for the day. I will probably check back in tonight. Have a great day all.

Yep, they've not been getting along very well the last few weekends. I know part of it is anxiety/excitment - Woody even confessed to that, and he's the sensitive/drama-y one - but still. :sad2: They are much better off when they just see each other for a few hours at home, not all day together, but with no one else.

Ooohhhh, never heard of it:confused3

I :lovestruc it. We have a store in one of the nearby malls, but I mostly even shop online - if I know what I want, of course. To try things on is also fun!

Have a great day/weekend:hug:

Sounds like a fun few days. :goodvibes Enjoy!

:lmao: I'm scaring myself! I don't know why... I'm excited to go, but I'm dreading the packing/organizing all that crap.

As long as you're excited to go... But where's the T who packs 6 months in advance? :rotfl:

Yippeeeeee!!! It's the last day of school! 11 more days until Disney, I can't wait! :woohoo:

Now, see, I might be less conflicted about the end of school if I could say that. ;)

********************************************************
Yep, so the kids get out in about an hour. Buzz was invited on a playdate when I was at Field Day last week, so Woody is having the third 2nd grader from baseball come here.

We do find out who the teachers are today - they do an assembly, then the kids "step up" and go see and talk to the new teachers. We are moving from 5 2nd grades to only four 3rd grade rooms. It's OK - one of the teachers had 14 this year, so it's not too bad, still. Anyway, I know two of the teachers and really like them. The one male classroom teacher (the music and computer teachers are men, too, but...) in the school is moving down from 4th to 3rd, and I hear great things about him. The last one left is the only one I don't always hear great things about, but we do know someone who has her this year and she did fine. I figure, it's 75% chance to get one of the other three, and if we get the one, it's one year and it will be fine. :thumbsup2 I'm more concerned that they have a good friend in the class - Buzz always seems to get screwed in that regard - but again, with 5 classes going to 4, the odds improve. ;)

Anyway, I told Buzz he has to call me from his friend's house to tell me who he got, and we're going to call Woody's friend's mom right away, too. :rotfl2:

D got home super late last night, but he's home for the weekend. It's supposed to be really hot today and tomorrow. He seemed slightly bummed that we couldn't do the boat after school today, but I told him last week that Buzz had been invited to this playdate, so...

I should probably go to the grocery store fast here before the boys come, so I don't have to do it later. Woody's friend's mom (who is also becoming a really dear friend of mine :goodvibes) is coming for him around 3:00, but I don't know when I'm supposed to get Buzz. His friend is also a twin (twin's a girl, never been in either of my kids' classes), and they have an older sister too, and the last time I went to pick him up from there, she had all three of her kids, with a friend for each. :faint: She's a nicer woman than I. :rotfl2:

Ooh, ooh, Woody's friend's mom just called. She had taken her daughter, who went to a private Kindergarten, to the first grade step up, and ran into her son & Woody. They are together AND they got the teacher I wanted most for one of them to get! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

OK, I have to get moving if I'm running to the store. I may or may not be back until later tonight - depends on what the kids do, etc. ;) Have a great Friday! :grouphug:

I am torn about telling the idiot that I won't watch the kids anymore as much as I would like to, to call his bluff. I am really afraid of what he would do to my DD and my grandkids if I wasn't there. My biggest fear was that my DD would stay with him. He was, and I guess is, her first love. She loves him but I'm not sure that is true with him. If you look up narcissist in the dictionary his picture would be under it.

Tough situation.

Hope you have fun at the movies, dinner, and dance! ;)

Well, I couldn't be happier. Woody got the one I most hoped that one of them would get (I mentioned that) and not only that, but is back with a good friend from K & 1st, and got his best girlfriend, too. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Buzz called me from his friend's, and he got the male teacher moving down from 4th, :thumbsup2 with his bff from last year, plus a lot of other really nice kids that we know and like. :goodvibes He's not with his great friend from this year (the kid whose house he's at right now) but that's probably OK - they'll be fine, and that kid got the other teacher I would have liked, so his mom's happy. :thumbsup2 His twin is in with Woody. ::yes::

I've barely seen Woody and his friend - and we're under an hour to go in the playdate, so I'd call it successful! :thumbsup2 I'm to pick Buzz up around 4/4:30, but our neighbor should be home to continue to keep Woody company until then.

D is so jet-lagged - he keeps saying, "I need to do stuff," but continues to more just wander around in a daze. He of course didn't get home until around 2:00 this morning, but HI time, that's only 8:00 p.m. so he wasn't even too tired yet. Then, when he got up to see the kids off, he was not much awake.

Now it's 2:00 again, so it feels more like 8:00 a.m. to him, and he's just all funny. ;) :rotfl2:

He had wanted to go up to the boat today, and he was thinking he still might just go alone and do some cleaning on it, but at this stage, I can't imagine him deciding to go. We'll see, I guess! He has also mentioned doing some trimming and so forth in the yard.

I think I'm going to go water, speaking of... BBL!
